Abby Lee Miller stood up and looked at the hat in the middle of the table. She smiled and walked around next to Bostyn and pulled out five names. Then, she pulled out five more. After that, she pulled out five more and left the other three in the hat.
"Group A will consist of Sophia, Tyler, Zack, Brooke and Nia. These will be your groups for the rest of your time here. Group B will consist of Travis, Bostyn, Asia, Maddie, and Autumn. Group C has Mia. Mackenzie, JoJo, Kalani, and Kendall in it. Last but not least, Group D has Paige, Chloe, and Lucas in it. Please find your groups in your labeled section on the dance floor."
Abby motioned to the floor a few steps down from the dining table. Everyone walked to their designated spots and waited to hear what else Abby had to say.
"Now. For our theme. We will have an 'All-Around' contest. There is going to be five rounds. First round is going to be tap, next is lyrical, after that, jazz. Then it will be hip-hop. Our last round will be acro. There will be someone announced winner on that last round. Good luck to everyone. But first, let me bring you our master teacher, for the tap portion, Maud Arnold!"
Everyone clapped as she walked in, waving her hand. "Hello everyone! I am Maud, as you may know. I love to tap and I have taught many master classes at dance competitions such as Turn It Up Dance Challenge. I will also be choreographing the tap routines for this week. Who is ready to get their tap on?"
Everyone cheered and went over to their bags to put on their tap shoes. Maud warmed up a little bit then turned to face the kids. "We will be dancing to the song Got a Girl by Lou Bega. Who is ready?" Everyone clapped.
"Okay, so I need one boy per group, so, you, brown hair switch with this guy." She pointed at Kalani then at Tyler and motioned for them to switch. They silently did and Maud put them into a formation with the boy of the group in the middle.
"Part of dancing is performing, so I need you all to perform this too, alright? It is fun and flirty." She quickly taught three eight counts of the piece and had them run it over a little bit in their groups. Abby watched carefully and after fifteen minutes called out a group.
"Group A, please show us what you got!"
Sophia, Kalani, Zack, Brooke, and Nia walked out onto the dance floor. The music started and they started dancing. When the music ended, Abby nodded and her and Maud discussed who they were going to eliminate.
"We have chosen, unfortuanatly, Brooke to stop dancing in this challenge. Next up, Group B." Over and over they eleminated somebody until each group had only four left. Then, it was Group D's turn, the one with only three people in it.
After they performed, Maud and Abby looked at each other and nodded. "You are all safe. This was an amazing performance, and you had really clear tap sounds, too. You are all safe. Congrats!" The three high fived and Abby looked at the fifteen kids. The other two eliminated were Travis and Mia.
"Thank you, Maud, so much. You really helped me out. Now, we will have our lyrical round. This time, I would like to introduce Alex Wong. He is amazing, and I think you will all love him. SO, Alex Wong everybody!" Alex walked into the room with his turners on.
"Hi, everyone! My name is Alex. I will be choreographing all of the lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, and ballet dances for this competition. I picked out a lovely lyrical song that I saw at a competition recently, called 'Sorry'. It is about love and lost, so you young ones, act mature!" All the kids looked at each other nervously.
"So, we are going to start out improvising. Then, look, reach, stumble, and stretch." Alex tought everyone three eight counts of the dance, which turned out to be very beautiful. After a few minutes of practicing, everyone was ready.
"Group A will start out again, then Group B, the Group C, and finally Group D. Get ready." Group A walked out onto the floor. After the performance, Alex and Abby decided Zack would be eliminated. Group B had Autumn go after she failed her ten pirouettes by forgetting to put on her turners. Group C got rid of JoJo and Group D had Paige go.
Alex got up the steps after the challenge was over. "Okay, guys, thank you! Have fun with Brian Schulze!" Everyone looked at each other and jumped up and down. Brian was on Glee! Autumn was disappointed that she wasn't able to perform in this round.
"Well, I guess we know who are jazz guy will be. But, nonetheless, let me introduce Mr. Brian Schulze!" Brian walked in energetic and looked at the remaining dancers.
"Congrats! You made it to round three, the jazz round. I want you to get loose and have fun. We are going to dance to the song, A Little Party, widely used at dance competitions worldwide. So, to begin we are gonna point, drop, point up, drop down, and do a pose. A sharp pose, may I add."
Brian taught the rest of the choreography and the kids had fun doing it, especially since they got to wear big feathers on their head while dancing. After practicing for a little bit (again), they got to the performance. Group A went first.
After debating back and forth, Brian and Abby decided to eliminate Sophia since she was nervous about the feather on her head becasue it wasn't on right. Group B went next and they eliminated Maddie, for not being as powerful as she should be. Kendall was eliminated from Group C for not using enough face while dancing. From Group D, nobody was eliminated.
"Alright guys, it was a blast and you all performed amazingly. However, I have to tell you all that tWitch is here doing your hip-hop round!" Everyone stood there with mouths wide open as tWitch walked into the room.
"'Sup, I'm tWitch and I am going to be your hip-hop instructor for this competition. Be prepared for fast choreography and it is going to be hard, so be prepared man. Come prepared to dance and get loose. Alright, we gonna be dancing to the song How Low Can You Go? I saw this song used during a mashup and it was sick. So start on a diagonal and we will start walking back while doing this motion."
tWitch tought the piece and everyone practiced it. However, everyone besides Asia, was having trouble with it. After a few minutes, Abby had everyone perform. Group A went first, both people being very nervous.
Tyler was eliminated, he wasn't into it, really. Group B got rid of Bostyn. She didn't really have all those motions that she needed. From Group C, Kalani was eliminated, she couldn't do it and forgot it at the end. From Group D, Lucas was eliminated for being off the timing,
"Alright, everyone, I need to go know and introduce, um, I dont know! Abby will tell you. See you all later!" tWitch walked out of the room. Abby stared at the kids.
"Nia, Asia, Mackenzie, and Chloe. Welcome to the acro round. I am proud of you all, for you all have been on the ALDC competition team. However, with this choreography that you will only learn once, you won't know what will hit you. So without further adeu, please help me welcome Club Dance Studio's Alexa Moffet!"
Everyone clapped as Alexa walked into the room she looked at the four dancers and laughed. "Kalani, did the hip-hop get ya?"
Kalani laughed and smirked. "Maybeee."
Alexa laughed again then looked back at the dancers. :Okay, so let's get started. Listen carefully. Front walkover, back walkover, half turn, back walkover, back walkover, back layout, back flip. Ready?"
Nobody nodded. They just looked at Alexa. "Get up and start dancing, start back more though. Ready?"
"Yes," Nia shouted for the group.
"Okay, ready, go!"
The four dancers went at different speeds. Mackenzie executed it flawlessly, Chloe landed on her arm during the first back handspring, Asia forgot the back layout, and Nia forgot the combo completely. Abby stood up immediatly and looked at Mackenzie.
"You won, Mackenzie, I am sorry to the rest of you, but you guys were awful. Mackenzie was perfect. So, for her win, she automatically gets five extra points on her score. Congrats. Now, lets go have some dessert, then you will all learn what your songs are!"

The dancers walked to a board Abby put up on the dance floor after desssert. Each looked for their name and immediatly either did a happy dance or a sad dance. The board looked a little like this:
