WOUNDED

Chapter 24

All 6 of james' closest friends were gathered in the office that had a large table in it. the 7 kids sat on one side and the principal, year head, and four guests sat on the other side. James was sat in the middle. Barack spoke first.
"I'm sure you have all heard about sarah."
"Ugh" ali, Cara and josh said in sync. They didn't believe James either.
"Is there a problem." Barack said confused.
"They don't believe she's real."
"Oh dear."
"Is he under arrest for impersonating someone else." Cara said
"No, in fact, James here is a hero."
"What!!" Josh, ali and Cara said in sync again.
"Yes, in fact if I'm not mistaken, whichever one of you is Rebecca, was saved by his actions."
Rebecca nodded.
"What actions?" Josh asked.
There was shootout on his school bus yesterday morning. It was between himself, and Sarah Crehan. James managed to stop her with only one casualty, there could have been many more. Now I'm not telling you to believe in sarah, but I believe she's real, I believe she's a threat and I believe James is a hero."
"Okay, I'll believe." Ali said
"Fine." Cara huffed
"Seems legit." Josh answered.
"Good, now, I believe you will need a debrief from Mary here then she'll also discuss the plans for the assembly."
"Thank you Barack. Now kids, I met sarah when she was only 3 years old. I trained her to hack and use firearms and her iq was at 20 year old level by the age of thirteen. We trained her because we thought she could be a valuable resource. She would be able to do this as a career for years to come and she'd be able to do frontline stuff as well. After she went rogue we surveyed James. We realised after the shoutout yesterday that he might be one of the only two people in the world capable of taking her down. We also think one of you will be able to help. We would like to induct both of you into  a new force that will be set up specifically to take down sarah. You two will be the leaders of this force."
"Who's the second person."
"James, I haven't told you but I think you might know."
James sat up, looked at his friends then said "the only person who knows enough to do this, is Ella."
"Precisely."
"What!" Ella shouted, shocked by this.
"You heard me dear, if you want, you can do this."
"Why me?"
"As far as I know, you've been quite involved with Sarah the last few months. You have talked to her, learned many valuable things from her. You are the ideal candidate."
"Okay, I'll do it."
"Good, now obviously as I'm not the president any more, Michael here must authorise it. Barack, Michelle and I are like guests of honour."
Michelle spoke next "As you're James' good friends, you will receive front row seats at the assembly. Ella and James, you will have seats backstage, and you will come on when called. It is fortunate, you're PE hall is set up for the school play at the moment, so there's a seat for all the students."
"Right, now folks we better get ready, I'll go call the rest of the school out while everyone takes their places." Ms Ryan said
And so they went off to take their places. James and his friend about to become leaders of some sort of task force.
