Scarlett
I look at them in shock as Grace walks towards Alessandro and I.
"So about that note..." Grace began and I move so I am no longer behind Alessandro
"That was you?" I furrow my eyebrows and she grins
"Surprise!"
"Why?" I frown
"Of course you forgot. Your parents destroyed my life. They took my family away from me. My family and I were on a road trip to the river when your car hit our car, causing it to fall on the bridge. Guess who didn't survive? My mom and my dad. I wanted to talked to your family about it but, they didn't show any sympathy. They said that it wasn't their fault. They fucking yelled at me and told ME to get lost! Your dad was even supposed to go to jail because there was alcohol on his system. So I planned my revenge. You don't deserve a happy ending." She smirks and raises her gun, pointing it to Alessandro "You might want to take a step back. Alessandro"
"How about you take a step back" he growls
"I'm holding a gun and you're holding a teddy bear."
"I don't give a shit"
"Ah. Well this might make you move. Scarlett's parents used you by giving you their daughter so they can take the money and finally forget about Scarlett. You think they failed you? They did but that money you lost? They took it. That's why they didn't pick her up on the day she was supposed to leave. Oh, your mom actually had a huge chance to survive from her oh so sad sickness but Scarlett's mother went to the hospital and killed her. The doctors thought it was natural causes, for some reason, because there was no sign of struggle. Her sweet old mother probably did something to the monitor. She did this because your mom was about to fire her and her husband for something that almost placed the company at risk so she had to stop her by killing her."
By the end of her sentence, Alessandro's face turned red and he took a step back, not saying a word
"That's what I thought. Go get her" Cris and Nina walked towards my direction and I shake my head
"Alessandro! Please! Help me!" I scream but I get nothing in response. I turn around and I swear, my heart shattered into a million of pieces.
"I don't help killers children. Most of all, I don't love girls like you." He glares at me and walks off.
A tear escaped from my eye about to shout but before I could, a hard object came in contact with my head

Third person POV
As Grace, Dan, Cris, and Nina took Scarlett's unconscious body to an abandoned house by the river, Grace talks to them about how they're going to torture Scarlett until her body gives up. The three nodded and left to get their materials.
"Wake up!" Grace punched Scarlett's stomach after being placed and tied on a chair
Scarlett groans and looks at Grace
"This is going to be fun. Ever solved the last clue?"
"N-no" Scarlett coughed "please let me go"
"It was death Scarlett. You found the clues on the river because that's where my family died." Grace leaves and comes back with a medium sized box
Scarlett looks at the box, scared of what she thinks might be inside and she thought correctly, inside the box are torture items.
"I will make you suffer, slowly and painfully"
"P-please. Don't do this. I didn't do anything. I-" Scarlett starts to cry as she shakes her head
"Shut up! You're alive and my parents aren't! You know, my brother wanted this to stop so I had to stop him. How? I killed him. His name is Michael, if that rings a bell"
Scarlett's eyes brimmed with tears when Grace mentioned his name.
Her best friend, Michael. The guy who helped her when she was raped. The guy who helped her when she was bullied. The guy who was there for her the whole time... is gone.
"No no no. It can't be. He can't be dead" she sobbed, trying to break free from the chair
"Oh but he is. Don't worry. It was quick. He's been dead. I had to pretend like him for a few weeks. When you moved out of the house so you stayed with Michael? Yeah that was me."
"How?" Scarlett swallowed a lump on her throat, unable to believe what Grace is saying
"We're twins you stupid bitch." She grabs a sharp knife and stops in front of Scarlett, playing with it with an evil grin on her face
"Your night and shinning armor won't be here to protect you. He left you. He doesn't love you. He hates you."
Oh please Alessandro. Where are you... maybe she's right, he hates me.
Scarlett thought to herself before the torture begun

It's been two days...
By now, Scarlett has 30 cuts on her body from different torture weapons but her expression shows that it doesn't faze her. She was hurt numerous of times so why care about the pain? She was used to it
Grace screams in frustration and grabbed her dagger
"You know what. I'll just stab you deep in the heart like the hole your parents left in me when my family died then make you bleed to death" she spat and stopped right in front of her
Scarlett looked at her and clenched her teeth, eager to embrace her death.
But Grace didn't do anything, instead. She fell to the ground.
Scarlett looked up to see... her best friend? Her "dead" best friend. Standing in front of her, holding a pan.
"M-Michael?" she choked on her tears and Michael dropped the pan, helping her get out of the chair
"Happy to see me?" He smiled and hugged her "How cruel my sister is. I never held a grudge on you. It was an accident but my sister was too eager to have your blood on her hands. I am so sorry for everything Scarlett." Michael let's out a shaky breath, not letting go of his best friend
"It's fine Michael but can you tell me, where did you get that pan?" Scarlett tries to lighten up the conversation and Michael chuckled
"I found it on the ground when I came to this creepy abandoned house" he says as he slowly let's go of Scarlett
"Nina, Dan, and Cris... they work for her" Scarlett suddenly remembered and frowned
"No. well yes. They do work for her but when Grace approached them so she they an help her, they knew that they had to find out what her plan was so they said yes. Right now, they're with Alessandro, telling him everything and they were supposed to save you but... I came early and saved you instead. That's what best friends are for"
"She said she killed you"
"Well she did hit my head with a strong object and it knocked me out for a few hours but it didn't kill me. Let's just say, I have a pretty hard head"
"Ah. Well can we please get out of here?" Scarlett looked at Grace's unconscious body
"Oh. Yeah. Let's go. I called the cops and the guys are probably on their way" Michael picked up Scarlett and walked to the door
"No." they hear a voice from behind and Michael stopped to turn but they were greeted with a loud bang
Michael's eyes widened and he turned so Scarlett won't get shot. He then looked at his best friend before making them both fall to the ground
"No no no. Michael please don't" Scarlett sobbed as she put pressure on his wound
"You were supposed to get shot! Not him!" Grace yells
"Well you missed you bitch!"
Grace stood up about to shoot her again but she gets shot instead. Grace instantly falls, blood dripping out of her lifeless body.
Scarlett turns around and see her friends, holding a gun.
Dan, Nina, Cris and Alessandro are here.
Antonio though, he's holding a bat
"Really? A bat" Scarlett smiles slightly at Antonio's choice of weapon
"Hey! They didn't tell me that they were going to join her club like a spy or some shit. I love clubs" Antonio pouts as he crossed his arm
"We didn't tell you because you will spill the beans" Dan rolled his eyes and put his gun away
"Whatever. Your shot was bad" Antonio stuck his tongue out
"My shot was bad? I shot her in the boob!"
"Still bad"
"You didn't even do anything, except scream like a baby when we got here while holding a bat."
"It's a creepy abandoned house! Of course I would scream by the way, it's a manly scream and at least I'm a hot baby un-"
"Guys stop" Alessandro cuts off Antonio "The ambulance is on their way. Along with the police." Alessandro looks at Scarlett with regret on his face
Scarlett sighs and looks down at Michael
"Just stay with me okay?" Scarlett holds Michael's hand

Going back to the day Michael ran around the school looking for Scarlett, he was so concerned.
He knew about the plan but he can't tell her or else, his sister would do something really terrible
How could someone beautiful, smart, nice, and caring be so broken... You deserve so much more in this world Scarlett. I promise you, everything will be better. I don't know when but that day will come. I will help you find your happiness Scarlett, even if it means for me to die.
I pull her close and smiled
Oh how I want to tell you my secret Scar. If only I could...
When he wanted to tell her his secret, it was about Grace's plan. He went home to tell Grace that she needs to stop but she just made him go with her to the river.
She said she wanted to show him something she found about their parents death but she lied, she killed him. Or at least that's what she thought.
...
"I don't think I can stay any longer" Michael coughed and Scarlett shook her head
"No. You need to stay." Scarlett starts to cry as she squeezes his hand
"I promised to myself that I will help you find your happiness even if it means for me to die... and I did help you find your happiness. Your happiness is to be with your friends... alive. I sacrificed my life for you because I love you and you deserve to be happy. I am proud that you became my best friend. I am proud to be a part of your life. I love you Scarlett and don't you dare forget that." Michael smiles before turning his head to the side. His life, slowly slipping away
Scarlett hugs his body, yelling for him to come back but he's not coming back.
He's already dead

Scarlett looks around the room. Her friends sitting on the couch, asleep. Alessandro is sitting on the chair beside her bed, also sleeping.
She's in the hospital, safe with her friends but without her best friend Michael
"You're awake" Alessandro stretches his arms as he looks at Scarlett "I'm sorry for leaving you. I would've stayed but when Grace was talking, the guys eyed me, signaling that I should go with it so I did. We planned on saving you but Michael saved you first. Well in the end, we did sav-"
"It's okay. I forgive you. Thank you for coming back" Scarlett smiles slightly as she takes his hand
"I'll always come back for you. I'm just glad that you're here with me... I love you Scarlett"
"I love you too but I can't stay"
"What?"
