This fanfic is based on the American TV series 'Castle'. Sadly, the show finished after 8 seasons, but like many great TV shows, it will live on through its fans. For me, none will be missed more so than the characters Detective Kevin Ryan and Detective Javier Esposito. In this story, many aspects of 'Castle' are the same, and then there are a few very noticeable changes. For example, Castle and Beckett are married but no longer work together. Rick is a private investigator and Kate is captain of the 12th precinct. Ryan and Esposito are still partners and the senior detectives in the homicide unit. As well as all the old, beloved characters, I have brought in some of my own original characters. You'll find out their roles when you read it.
