Chapter 25
Seriously not good; she's fifteen and he's 20, i think? No she can't like him...though he would be her type. When we were back home, he dressed kind of emo and so does she. It would be an emo love story if it wasn't for the fact that neither of them are emo they just like the clothes. Got to say I'm glad she didn't take a liking to Slut chic; if she did let's just say I'd never let her leave the house.
My attention was brought back to the people at the table when I noticed someone waving their hand in my face. Oops. "Helllllloooooooooooooo, anyone in there?" Holly asked.
"Wha-... Oh yeah sorry I was just thinking. So how have you been? You weren't hurt were you?" I asked quickly.
"I'm fine Ari, Actually Blake saved me from getting hurt." She sighed. My god she sighed...this is so wrong. I'm glad I didn't fall in love with him or do anything or this might have been awkward.
"So who are all these people?" I asked looking at the teens gathered around the table. There were 3 girls and 4 boys, none of whom I recognised but I got the feeling they were Nate's relatives because they all looked similar to him in one way or another.
"Oh yeah they are Nate's brothers and sisters." She said. "That's Maya." She said pointing to the girl who was obviously the oldest of the siblings. She looked about 22; I wonder why she isn't married because she's definitely not ugly. With her long golden blonde locks and beautiful green eyes she looked like a goddess. "Next to her you have Raven and Hayley. They're the same age but by different mums, it seems daddy dearest was having a little too much fun." I elbowed her. "Why did you do that?" She asked glaring at me.
"Because it's rude, like it or not that man was their father." I said. "Even if he was the super villain." I added as an afterthought. "Anyways carry on. " She started to talk but was interrupted by Nate.
"I think it's time that I introduced you to my family." Nate whispered in my ear before turning to his siblings.
"Hey guys, I know you've probably but I'd like to introduce you to Ari, my soul mate and wife." He said wrapping an arm around my shoulders. "And this is my daughter, Izzy." He looked at the baby asleep in my arms with adoring eyes and I couldn't help but smile and lean into his embrace. All I needed was my parents and this scene would be picture perfect because right here in this room I had everything I ever needed. Oh jeez I sound so cheesy, next I'll be reading Mills and Boon ...save me now !!!!
I looked up at Nate's siblings and my in laws. "So what are your names? I recognise you, Aeron right?" I said pointing to the oldest boy. He looked like he was about a year younger than Nate and I and was incredibly handsome. Not as handsome as the angel beside me but still, he gives Nate a run for his money.
"Yeah, I'm Aeron." He said looking at me. "Nate you're a lucky man, but did you have to mark your territory?" He raised an eyebrow. God how does he do that? I can sort of do it but it just looks like there is something wrong with me.
I turned to Nate and began to trace his mark whilst he did mine. "We didn't do them ourselves they were a gift from Rosmardin, our goddess. And no it isn't a cult; she's the goddess from the old religion in Antoria." I kept my gaze locked on Nate's marking that were now glowing a bright red and gave out a awed sigh. I love it when my touch can do that. I turned back to Nate family whilst Nate still traced my face in a trance and talked.
"So Aeron, which one is Dior cos I know one of you is Dior, I remember him being mentioned on TV." I said looking at the other boys next to Aeron. The boy of about 14 shakily raised his hand and looked shyly up to me.
"I'm Dior." He said in a quiet voice barely making eye contact with me. Aww so sweet he's all shy.
I smiled at him trying to look as friendly and welcoming as I could. "Nice to meet you Dior, I'm Arianna but you can call me Ari, is that OK?" I said tilting my head to the side as I watched him relax a bit. He nodded and gave me a small smile.
"Ok so who's next?" I asked. A boy of about 16 raised his hand. He looked a spitting image of Nate except that his eyes were emerald green instead of chocolate brown. "And what's your name?" I gave his a smile.
"Theo. Short for Theodore but I prefer Theo." He said in a deep gravelly voice that didn't match his angelic features. I nodded.
"And last but not least." I said looking at the youngest of all the boys he looked about 6 and was the most adorable little boy I've ever seen.
"This is Sammy" Nate said from beside me. He was only 2 when I left, I can't believe how much he's grown." He said not taking his eyes off the little boy who was gazing around the table curiously. Aww so sweet can I keep him. Nate suddenly started chuckling and I couldn't help but smack my head. I don't think I'll ever get used to his mind reading. His brothers and sisters were just looking at his as if he's crazy.
"What are you laughing at?" Dior said again doing the eyebrow thing.
"Oh nothing, it's just Ari wants to keep Sammy, she thinks he adorable." He said before chuckling again. I hit him in the arm. "What it won't matter you'll see him everyday anyways once we get back from earth."
"What is this Earth anyways? I've heard of it in the history books but it hasn't been mentioned for over 500 years." Maya asked looking at us curiously.
"It's where I'm from, it's very different to this world. There's cars and TV's and radios not that what I just said makes any sense to you. Maybe we should ask Blake if they can all come we're only going back to get my parents and so called brother and I can get the rest of my converse collection." I finished my sentence with a dreamy sigh.
"Converse?" Dior was the one to pipe in. Oh my god I forgot they don't know what they are. I handed Nate Izzy who was still asleep thankfully and pushed my chair back so that I could lift my foot in the air.
"These, my friends, are the most amazing shoes in existence, otherwise known as converse. I have them in all different colours and designs. They do them for both guys and girls. Hmm, I'm maybe I'll get you all a pair. Ooh I wonder if they do mini converse for Izzy." I squealed a bit at the end acting like a little girl and had to refrain myself from clapping my hands and jumping up and down. What? Converses are awesome and just about the only shoes I take an interest in.
"OK then, looks like we've got another crazy sister." Aeron said with a smirk. "Actually two if you count Holly."
"Umm I'm not crazy." Holly said from beside me. She was in her normal clothes skinny jeans and she had a black zipped hoodie with a red tank top underneath. I see she's already back on the liquid eyeliner. It's like her addiction. "You're the crazy one who didn't know what converse were."
"At least I'm not the grim reaper; you look like some gothic being." Aeron retorted and I just cringing.
Damn, better cover my ears. I watched as Nate tried to cover his ears with his one free hand as I placed both of my hands over my ears.
"I am not a Goth!!!!" She shrieked; the sound piercing through my covered ears. "For your information the look is emo."
I almost laughed at Aeron's face but my ears were still ringing. Damn it, it's always the same. Never call her Goth.
"Whatever you say sis." He smirked. Oh god he's just making it worse she might actually hurt him with the new powers she has.
"Umm Aeron please don't annoy her, she has control over the weather and if you don't want to be struck by lightning then I suggest you back off." I said trying to talk him down. Oh God, I just thought of something. These kids, well some of them, don't have any parents, so who is going to look after them because I can see them being a handful.
"Umm Ari the person looking after them would be us. Well except Hayley and the older kids but they all live in the castle." Nate said calmly beside me.
"What about Sammy's mum?"I asked.
Nate looked down at the table sombrely. "She died." I took Nate's hand in mine and rubbed the back until he decided to look at me.
"I'm sorry." I said as I leant over and gave him a tender kiss on the lips automatically feeling the flames across my skin. Is it really going to do this every time we kiss? Not that I don't mind it feels great but it probably looks weird to everyone else.
"Whoa that is soo cool." The three older boys said together making Nate and I pull away from each other. When we looked over at them they all had wide eyes.
"Does that happen every time?" Maya asked tilting her head to the side as she watched us.
Nate and I looked at each other. "Yes" We answered together and then burst out laughing.
"Want to see some little magic tricks?" I asked. They all nodded so I brought my hand in front of me and suddenly a dragon made out of fire was swirling in the air. I then thought of water and watched as the fire engine red that had glowed in air turned into a clear water that moved seamlessly weaving in and out of my new sibling who watched in awe especially Sammy who had a huge grin on his face.
All of a sudden the door was opened and about 10 servants came in with trays which they placed in front of each of us. "Dinner is served." I thought about fire and the water I had been controlling hissed in the air in a puff of steam so that it disappeared from sight.
I then looked at the dish in front of me and couldn't help but drool at the mouth watering sigh in front of me. A roast dinner. Mmmm now this is heaven.
