Yours Truly,
Lady Whisper

Sunday sat across from you at the cozy ramen shop, a slight scowl marring his features as he crossed his arms over his chest. meanwhile, you happily slurped away at your ramen, savoring every delicious bite.

"seriously, what's the deal with this meeting?" Sunday finally broke the silence, his irritation evident in his tone.

you paused mid-slurp, a bemused expression crossing your face. "what's wrong, Sunday? can't handle a little face-to-face time?" you teased, a playful glint in you eyes.

he rolled his eyes, unamused by your antics. "i just don't see the point of all this." he stated, pushing his bowl of ramen away untouched.

you shrugged, undeterred by his sour mood. "relax, Sunday. it's not like it's a big deal." you replied, digging back into your noodles.

as Sunday stewed in his annoyance, you eventually reached into your bag and pulled out a folded pamphlet, sliding it across the table towards him with a mischievous grin.

"what's this?" he muttered, his curiosity piqued despite himself, as he unfolded the pamphlet.

his eyes scanned the contents, his expression growing increasingly sour with each passing moment.

the words on the page confirmed his suspicions — gossip about your relationship status, along with speculation about you and Sunday being an item.

Sunday's jaw tightened, his irritation reaching its peak as he read through the absurd rumors penned by the author.

you watched his reaction with amusement, barely able to contain your laughter at Sunday's increasingly disgruntled expression.

"looks like we're the talk of the academy." you remarked, a hint of sarcasm in your voice.

Sunday sighed heavily, crumpling up the pamphlet in his hand with a dismissive gesture. "this is ridiculous." he muttered, his annoyance palpable as he tossed the crumpled paper aside.

you couldn't help but tease him, especially given his evident discomfort with the gossip swirling around. leaning back in your seat, a mischievous grin played on your lips as you watched his reaction with amusement.

"well, well, well, looks like someone's caught in the spotlight." you jested, unable to resist poking fun at his expense.

Sunday shot you a withering glare, clearly not in the mood for your playful banter. "can we please not make this any more complicated than it already is?" he snapped, his frustration palpable.

you raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence as you leaned in closer, your eyes twinkling with mischief. "oh, come on, Sunday. where's your sense of fun?" you teased, prodding him to lighten up despite his reluctance.

however, he remained steadfast, his expression darkening as he shook his head in exasperation. "i have enough on my plate as it is." he muttered, his tone firm as he avoided your playful gaze.

despite his resistance, you couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Sunday, knowing full well the weight of the arranged marriage looming over the two of you.

but despite the seriousness of their situation, you couldn't resist a bit of lighthearted teasing to ease the tension between you.

with a soft sigh, you relented, deciding to drop the subject for now. but as you returned to your ramen, a playful glint remained in your eyes, silently challenging Sunday to let go of his worries, if only for a moment.

cutting to the chase, Sunday decided to address the elephant in the room. "is this the reason why you wanted to meet up?" he asked, his tone more serious now as he looked you directly in the eye.

you paused, caught off guard by his directness, and for or a moment, you hesitated, unsure of how to respond.

then with a shrug and a nonchalant smile, you decided to play it cool. "maybe it is, maybe it isn't," you replied cryptically, the teasing glint returning to your eyes.

"but hey, where's the fun in giving away all my secrets?"

his irritation flared up at your cryptic response, his patience wearing thin. "i don't have time for games, (Name)," he snapped, frustration evident in his voice as he made to stand up from his seat.

"i've got matters to attend to—"

but then he stopped mid-sentence, his gaze catching yours. the playful glint in your eyes had faded, replaced by a look of genuine disappointment and sadness that tugged at his heartstrings.

a heavy sigh escaped Sunday's lips as he sank back into his seat, the tension in his shoulders easing slightly. despite his annoyance, he couldn't bear to see you looking so dejected.

"fine," he relented begrudgingly, his tone softer now. "i'll stick around for a bit."

he stubbornly ignored the subtle shift in his demeanor around you, determined to maintain his facade.

as you smiled at his decision to stay, a mischievous glint danced in your eyes, signaling your intent to push his buttons a little further.

undeterred by his stoic silence, you launched into a playful tirade of teasing remarks, poking fun at his stubbornness and the cold state of his neglected ramen.

although, he remained resolutely silent, his attention fixed on his bowl as he mechanically picked at his now lukewarm noodles.

despite his best efforts to tune out your antics, the grayish-blue-headed boy couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt tug at his conscience.

he knew he was being unnecessarily harsh, but the thought of letting his guard down around you was a daunting prospect he wasn't quite ready to face.

although, his patience reached its breaking point as your teasing persisted, and he finally snapped.

"can you please just be quiet for a moment?" his tone was sharper than he intended, but he couldn't bring himself to care as he focused on scarfing down his now-cold ramen.

instead of being offended by his outburst, you simply pouted, your bottom lip jutting out in a playful display of mock hurt.

"fine," you muttered, sighing as you crossed your arms over your chest. "i guess i'll just sit here in silence then."

years ago, in the same quaint ramen shop that now held memories of their adolescent banter, you and Sunday sat side by side at the small wooden table.

back then, you were just carefree children, with no weight of arranged marriages or societal expectations bearing down on your shoulders.

as you slurped happily on your ramen, he sat close beside you, his presence a familiar comfort. instead of taking the seat across from you, he chose to sit next to you, his golden eyes warm with affection.

mid-slurp, you felt a gentle touch at the corner of your lips. looking up, you saw Sunday holding a tissue, a certain glint in his eyes as he wiped away the stray droplets of sauce.

a giggle bubbled up from your chest at the unexpected gesture, the sound ringing out like tinkling bells in the cozy atmosphere of the ramen shop.

as Sunday withdrew the tissue, a smile lingered on his lips, mirroring the one that graced your own and, you couldn't help but feel a rush of warmth spread through you.

his touch was gentle, his eyes alight with mischief as he teased you about the messiness of your eating habits.

however, you didn't listen as there was something about the way he looked at you, as if you were the most precious thing in the world.

the warmth in his eyes sparked a flutter of butterflies in your stomach, leaving you unable to tear your gaze away.

lost in the moment, you found yourself captivated by the intensity of Sunday's gaze. "thank you, Sunday." you murmured softly, your words filled with genuine gratitude.

his eyes softened, his expression tender as he met your gaze. "anything for you," he replied, his voice equally soft as he reached out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear.

"you're something special, you know that?"

caught off guard by his earnestness, you felt a rush of emotion swell within you. "and you're not so bad yourself." you replied, unable to hide the smile that tugged at your lips.
