When she wished him he looked at her. He saw the box in her hand and took it. He nooded his head and said a small thankyou.
His went away from there as his friends we're calling him.
Merra look at him than look down at her hand.
She genuinely think of him as her brother and everytime she tries to make a move he just ignore her.
"Why are you late? It's your small brother's birthday can't you came a little early"
She looked up at her dad who now came looking at her with cold face.
The moment she meet him he scolded her instead of asking of her well being.
How badly she wanted to hear his soft which he always uses while talking with yash.
She again look down and whispered a small sorry.
Without saying anything he went away from their to attend other family members.
She wanted to talk with him spend some time with him but she doesn't have any reason to stop him.
She looked around and found her dadi sitting on a couch at a corner with some other relatives.
She went near her with a smile and she was going to bend down to touch her feet she showed her hand signalling her to stop.
Meera smiled and asked
"How are you dadi"
She looked at meera but didn't smile like a grandmother who should smile after seeing her granddaughter after seeing after so many months.
She just nodded while looking at meera.
"O my god meera you grown up a lot"
Meera looked at side and saw her bua Aunt kalyani sitting with her daughter riya who is same age as meera. Just four months older than her.
Meera smiled looking at kalyani
"How are you aunty"
"I'm fine but how are you it's been so long I saw you"
Thought kalyani acted like a loving aunt but inside she was not happy looking at her.
She never liked meera and her mother.
She was more than happy when she got to know that her brother was divorcing meera's mother.
"I'm also fine-"
Before she can complete her sentence kalyani cut her off saying.
"Meet your cousin riya. You must remember her. You both used to play when you were very small. She is currently staying in Australia for her studies but came back just for yash birthday."
Kalyaan said while looking at her indirectly telling her now how much yash means to them trying to make her uncomfortable.
"Of course aunty how can i forget her."
Meera said looking at riya.
Riya stood up and hugged her.
"It's been so long little sis"
Meera just nooded.
Riya turned her head to her mom.
"Mom i will accompany meera as it's been so long I meet her and we have so catch up for time we both didn't meet"
Kalyani just nooded her head and again stared to talk with her mother. While riya dragged meera from there.
As they both were talking more like riya was telling meera about her life in Australia and her luxurious life meera just stood there quietly.
A waiter was passing with a tray and riya took juice from it.
"So tell something about yourself."
She asked meera.
"There is nothing special about me I'm just busy with studies and hospital"
Meera raised her eyebrows
"Doctor?"
Meera nooded her head
"Yes, in final year"
Riya just nooded but didn't wanted to continue her talk.
As they were facing each other.
Suddenly someone pushed meera and she lost her balance and feels towards riya but riya moved backward and insted the juice of glass fell on meera making her soaked in juice.
As meera fell down and juice fell on her head and clothes it attract a lot of attention.
"O my god meera are you okay? "
Riya bend down looking all concern but still maintain a little distance.
Meera looked upward but didn't said anything.
She heard some voiced of people who were now looking at her.
"What happen?"
She heard her father's voice at look at him who was now coming towards her.
Riya stood up and said
"Meera suddenly lost her balance and fell and and the juice in my hand slipped on her"
Than she looked at meera
"I'm so sorry meera"
"It's okay it's not your fault"
Meera heard her father say this to riya.
That he look at people and said
"Their is nothing to worry about"
Than all people trun their head like nothing happened.
"Now will you get up or are you again going to create any drama"
He said lowly to meera only she can hear.
Meera stood up and look at him.
"Follow me"
He said and went out.
Meera to followed him outside.
After coming out and looking around when he found no one he look at meera.
"What was this behavior of yours? Did you came here to ruin yash's birthday party? "
Meera look at her father a little disappointed.
She knew this was coming.
He always accuse her without hearing her side of story.
So this time she just kept quite knowing he will never believe her.
"Now why are you quite? Look meera yash is your brother and you should stop be having like a child desperate to get attention. Today it's yash birthday and i don't want any problem"
Meera nodded her head
"Ok so i will go away from here because it's not like even if I tell I didn't do that on purpose you will believe me. Me staying here will only create problems for you."
Saying this she started to walk but stop in her track and again look at him.
"If me staying here makes problem for you than please don't invite me from next time in your family functions"
She stoped for a moment like she was thinking something and whispered but he still heard it.
"Dad"
She turn around and a tear left her eye while he just watched her going away from him.
Her back was looking so lonely.
His heart was beating fast looking at her lonely back.
'Dad' he heard this word from her mouth after a very long time.
He didn't remember when was the last she called him dad sweetly and he too talked to her softly
He fealt a hand on his shoulder and turn around to see his wife who look disappointed.
"You should not have said that. I can see she was already very upset and uncomfortable but still she came here just for you. But you just talk rudely with her even told her to go away"
"I didn't tell her to go away"
"But you also didn't stop her nor you comforted her if she is okay"
They both look at meera who was walking slowly with her head down they can tell her condition is not very good.
"You should also spend some time with. Don't forget that she is also your daughter"
He just nooded his head feeling a little guilty.
He today realised that he was always ignoring meera all this year's while he himself was enjoying his life with his new family.

Meera was walking slowly while tears were continuously falling from her eyes.
Today she fealt like a burden.
She realised ni matter what she does she can never be the part of their family.
Thought she is small she still accepted everything.
When her mom started her family with some other guy and her dad started his family with some lady she never complained.
Because she knew they both were not happy with each other and are insted hurting her.
After separation of her her mom dad she even got bullied in her school but still she never blamed them.
She thought as long as they both are happy she is happy as long as she can see them both.
But she never thought they both will find theire happy away from her and never include her in their life.
They both forgot that she still exist.
She too is their daughter.
People passing by were looking at her but she didn't care for their judgemental eyes.
She was used to it.
Damit it was not her fault that her parents got divorced.
If they both didn't wanted her than they should have never have in first place.
If they were not ready to take her responsibility than they should have killed her the moment she was born.
First it was their decision to have have and now they left her alone living all by herself.
She really doesn't know what is the meaning of family.
She too wanted a family like her other classmates but she never complain.
She took out her phone and thought to call her mom.
She dialed her number. The ring went but but no one answered.
She again tried and finally her mom answered her phone
But before she can say something she heard her mom saying.
"What happened meera why are you calling again and again? I am outside watching movie with sejal i will call you later"
Saying this she hang up. While meera heard the beep sound.
She put her phone back in her bag and again started walking.
She knew even her mother will ignore her but still like a stupid she called her just because she wanted to hear her voice.
She wiped her tears and took out her phone to call a cab.
As she was looking at her phone a car stopped in front of her and the window of the driver seat rolled down and came a handsome face in her view.
"Hi there paro did your devdad left you? "
