Shu : so today's topic is "mother earth".
Before he can begin you rise you hand.
Shu : doubt ?
Crystal : yes.
Shu : ask.
You stand up and ask cutely that can make anyone's heart melt.
Crystal : why earth is known as mother earth not father earth or anything else ?
Shu : good question so the answer is our earth is giving us everything we need such as oxygen for breathing and different types of gases , giving us food to eat , land for growing crops and all the food , shelter for living , items for making shelters , water for drinking and everything we need....earth is giving us the things belong to it just like a mother did to her child and that's why we call earth as mother earth.
Crystal : so Father don't love us ?
Shu : who said that ? But somewhere father didn't saw his love and care but everywhere a mother did...father mostly hide their feelings but care for us just not showing.
Crystal : oh-
Shu : did you get it ?
Crystal : yes.
You sit down back to your seat.
Shu : so 1st point is what is ecosystem ?
Crystal : Eco system are dynamic interactions between plants , animals , and microorganisms and their environment , working together as a functional unit.
Shu : yes.....every organisms play an important role in eco system without any of them our eco system will stop or not work.
Crystal : how ?
Shu : because just for an example ; earth worm , without earthworm (🪱) no compost will be there and our soil will not so good for growing plants and if plants will be not there in healthy state then how we will able to live....like this every small to big organism is important.
Crystal : ohh...
Shu : point 2nd point is "how have humans affected the ecosystem''.
Crystal : how ?
Shu : humans affected nature in many several ways such as the pollution of air and waste materials such as plastic in land and the chemical release by big factories in ocean or sea....there are so many ways human affect the nature but cutting trees is in important among of them because if we have green and good trees around us then we will get fresh air to breathe and trees help to reduce pollution and bring rain.
Crystal : then why humans cut the trees ?
Shu : because they need land.... currently the world population is more then trillion and they kept increasing and all of them need place for shelter and making buildings such as school , hospital and many articulaur....we should plant trees but we almost forget that... because humans are the most selfish living organisms among all.
Crystal : shu....we learnt about plant trees they are important but still why our earth is like this ?
Shu : yes , you are right we are learning about it and becoming aware and we set our mind to plant trees to but it is not only to plant them we should take care of them too and as a human being we start a work very nicely but day by day we become lazy to do that work and soon we find something more interesting than that work we are doing and start to do new things rather continue our old work and the best example is planting trees.
Crystal : so sad...
Shu : yes it is.....do you know we should take care of our mother earth because there is no any other planet we can live expect earth.....we should take care of it and always clean it...why we are dumping every waste materials on earth it's our home and we never want our house to get dirty right ? .....see no one can replace good soil , fresh water , and other organisms that are a part of the ecosystem that are indispensable to society.
You listen to him very carefully and every word of his is touching your heart.
Shu : if we treat the earth like the city waste pit , dumping all the industrial waste in the river and sea , very soon we will not be able to live on it. If we treat it well by being eco-conscious , the earth stays a clean place , perfect for living, for ourselves and for all living beings.
Crystal : hmm...shu what does eco - conscious mean ?
Shu : being eco-conscious means , begin to be aware of what you are doing , buying , using and what it does to the environment.
Crystal : ok.
Shu : so I have some facts related to this : 1. Every ton of recycled office paper saves 380 gallons of oil.
Crystal : seriously ?
Shu : yes seriously , 2. Do you know that disposable diapers take about 500 years to decompose.
Crystal : I never know 😨😲.
Shu : 3. Americans alone use 50 million tons of paper annually -- destroying more than 850 million trees for it's production so we can imagine how much trees whole world is cutting only in a year.
Crystal : we should re-use those papers instead of wasting them and cutting trees.
Shu : yes , 4. Every day 50 to 100 species of plants and animals become extinct as their habitats are destroyed by human interference.
Crystal : so sad...
Shu : we there are many different ways to protect our earth for getting harm.
Crystal : which are they ? I know some.
Shu : our earth provides us everything we need so we should also take care of it instead of ignoring it.
Shu : so some tips we can protect our earth :
1. Avoid wasting paper.
2. Turn off the lights when you're not in the room and unplug appliances.
3. Buy organic food. Pesticides take a toll on the environment.
4. Try growing a small vegetable garden of your own.
5. Pay attention to how you use water.
Crystal : okay I get all the points but why we should turn off the lights ?
Shu : because normal electric bulbs are polluting the air by emitting carbon dioxide.
Crystal : ohh-😮....okay I get all those points.
Shu : nice to know...we will continue our class tomorrow as it's already an hour.....let's go for now.
In the way of your room to house you both had a little chat about environment.
Crystal : shu please tell me a story 🥺.
This is the third time you asked him about a story about the environment and now he melted on your puppy eyes.
Shu : okay I will tell you something but it is not a story just something.....
Crystal : I am ready to hear 😊
Shu : *sign* okay see...a man plants two rice crops and he went to those rice plants and in one plant he used to talk good and always complicated it with good comments and in another one he always used to say bad words.
Crystal : which kind of words ?
Shu : such like in one rice plant he used to say " keep growing up , you are so beautiful and I know you will give so tasty rice in future" and in another plant he used to say " you are so ugly plant I don't like you , just get destroyed ".
Crystal: ohh...what happened next.
Shu : he takes good care of both plants. The talking way is different, he give water on both plants at the same time and give a care on both....when plants grew up ....the first plant which he used to say good things that plant give him good quality of rice and another plant get destroyed and dry .
Crystal : so why that man do this ?
Shu : because he wants to know what will happen if he do this...
Crystal : oh..
Shu : so what do you understand from the story ?
Crystal : we should talk good with plants not only care for them...
Shu : yes...and you know we should do the same with humans .....they also feel bad when someone said bad words.
Crystal : hmm...
Shu : see one thing always remember.....if you want to saw your love then saw it with action because words are never enough to saw your love and if you want to hurt anyone than hurt him with words because words hurts more than actions.
You look at him in disbelief.
Crystal : really ?
Shu : yes...
You both entered inside your room with a joy ful mood but your excitement vanished when you saw a mouse like thing at floor.
Crystal : ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!
You jump in shu's arm and hug his so tightly like a baby.
Shu : what happened ?
Crystal : I sa-saw a r-rat !!
You cracked at the sentance.
Shu's mind : it's impossible.....I myself checked everything and make sure that no animal such as lizard , mouse or cockroach enter inside the house.
Shu : ok I will check , clam down.
He gently out you down on bed and look at the direction where you saw something like mouse.
Shu : oh crystal....here is nothing like that maybe it is just your illusion.
Crystal : but I saw something there.
You said while tripling in the bed.
Shu : ok....do you believe me princess ?
He asked with hope and you nod.
Crystal : I do.
Shu : than believe me there is nothing like that.
Crystal : if you say so.
Shu : let's have dinner it's night.
After fresh up you both had dinner.
