February 2014

Her left knee started to hurt a little since the last training. Nothing of too serious, at least that was what doctors told her, but she had to cautious to not make it really serious; although it was almost impossible, since she was scheduled to win her first championship in two weeks and had two upcoming matches. A little bit of ice and everything would have been fine, that was what she told to herself.

"Are you sure you're fine?" Randy asked Sylwia again, for like the millionth time that evening. Everyone could see how concerned the man was, and that left Sylwia to think that maybe she shouldn't have mentioned him her knee pain at all.

"Bejba, I'm fine!" She tried to reassure him, raising her hand to play with his short beard, as she was laying with her head on his lap, on the couch of her locker room, waiting for Smackdown to start and to have her match against Cameron. "Nothing to worry about! Also meds said it was nothing serious!"

"They told to be careful." He corrected her, his blue eyes full of concern as he started to play with her long blonde hair. "Knees injuries are nothing to sleep on, they are very serious!"

Sylwia rolled her eyes, smirking at him. "Okay dad, I'll be careful!"

"That's daddy for you!" Randy immediately snapped, causing both of them to laugh. He soon returned serious, looking down at girl with both concern and admiration. He couldn't help but think how beautiful she was. "But seriously, Sylwia, I don't want you to get hurt or injured. Our work is pretty rough itself, we gotta do our best to not get hurt too bad..."

"It's the risk of our job, though..." The girl straightened up, so she could sit face to face with the man, a little smile on her face. "Are you saying that you worry for me everytime I step in the ring?"

Randy nodded, placing a hand behind her neck and bringing her closer to him, their faces now just few centimetres apart. "You have no idea how much I'd want to punch or deliver my RKO to everyone who dares to touch you. Scripted or not, women or men, I do not care."

"Sweet." She commented with a chuckle, placing her lips on his, moving her body on his lap as his arms circled her, bringing her even closer to him if possible.

Gently squeezing the girl's hair in his hand - even being careful not to tear any of her extensions -, Randy reluctantly broke away from her lips, pushing her head back slightly, leaving her neck exposed. His lips started to leave a trail of kisses along the entire collarbone, then up to the neck and then finally returning to her lips.

Meanwhile, Sylwia managed literally to rip off his t-shirt, exposing his muscular chest, running her hands all over it. "Nice view." She commented between kisses.

"Not as good as mine." He said breathless, resting his forehead on hers. "I can't wait for this fucking show to end so I can have an even better view of you under me."

"Or on top of you." The blonde girl teased. For how much they wanted to, they knew it was not the right moment now, as they were both scheduled to have a match that night and the show was about to start.

And Randy Orton had never been a man who cut short or left a woman unsatisfied; so it was better to delay than to settle for less. Even though it was so fucking hard to resist temptation.

With a groan, Sylwia got up and sat next to her mirror, her makeup and hair definitely needed to be fixed. "I'm gonna call some makeup artist. I don't feel like fixing this myself." She said with another groan. She was about to get up, when Randy stopped her, his t-shirt completely taken off now.

"I'll search one for you." He said, leaving a kiss on her forehead. "I should go changing anyway."

"Okay, thanks bejba!" The Pole replied, smiling at the older man.

"Anything for you, kochanie!" Randy said, smiling back at her.

Sylwia couldn't help but chuckle. He called her 'kochanie', he called her 'love', that surely meant he was finally ready to be with her and her only; she really was living for the hope of it all.

He left to get ready, few minutes after a makeup artist came, Sylwia was ready to be in action, adrenaline pumping in her veins everytime like it was always the first time. That was such a great feeling.

Walking around the arena, her left knee felt better too, she no longer felt any mild pain or discomfort. She was waiting backstage for her match, watching Randy's segment on television. He was one hell of a hot man, and she couldn't help but smile everytime his face was on the screen, almost like she was a teenager girl on her first crush.

Once the man returned backstage, he immediately went straight to her, as the girl was busy doing some warmup. "You good?" He asked, rubbing her shoulders to make her relax. "How about your knee?"

"Everything's fine!" Sylwia replied, relaxing at his touch. "Good job out there!" She said, putting her head down to look at him and smile.

Randy couldn't help but chuckle, his hands still massaging her shoulders. "Glad you enjoyed!" He smirked. "Are you up next?"

"Yeah..." Sylwia sighed, rolling her eyes. That match against Cameron was to make her official the contender for the Divas Championship at Elimination Chambers.

"Then hurry up." He said, teasing her. "So we can celebrate."

"Don't tempt me with that good of a time!" She chuckled, getting up to face him, a smirk on her face. "Three minutes, maximum five just to show off how good I am."

"Maybe you should Nick at this point." Randy rolled his blue eyes playfully. "But I don't think I'll let you go that easily."

"Watch me, Orton." The girl shot him a challenging look, for then leaving a quick kiss on his cheek and walking towards the gorilla. "Do zobaczenia później, przystojniaku!"

It was her time to show up anyway. The first one to make her entrance was Cameron, followed some minutes later by Sylwia.

Randy sat down, carefully watching the match in silence, avoiding to be bothered by his friends and coworkers. Nothing or none could have distracted him from watching his girl, especially if he knew she wasn't on her 100% because of her knee. He just wished nothing bad happened, but he had a weird feeling.

As always, to mock her opponents, Sylwia motioned to Cameron who couldn't even see her, she was so much shorter than the blonde from Poland. The match started and Sylwia wasted no time in attacking the dark skinned wrestler, knocking her down the ground with a drop kick.

Cameron clung to the ropes, stunned by the blow she had just taken, but Sylwia didn't hesitate to hit her from behind, placing her left knee behind the girl's shoulders; an illegal move that the referee picked up on, sending the blonde away.

"Are you really this weak?" Sylwia yelled, grabbing Cameron's black hair and pushing her in the centre of the ring. "Co za strata czasu!"

As Sylwia was about to hit again, Cameron reacted by grabbing the Polish's long legs and pushing her to the ground. The American girl then started to hit her several times, with Sylwia covering her face to not being hit.

As a counter move, Sylwia took advantage of a moment of distraction from her opponent to put her fingers in her eyes, finally making her move away from her.

Cameron stood up, holding her hands over her face in pain, while Sylwia took a push off the ropes and then applied a running clothesline. The Polish went for the pin, but Cameron kicked out at two.

"I poddaj się, co kurwa!" Sylwia yelled, pushing away some hair from her face and trying the pin again, but again another kick out. Groaning, the tall blonde grabbed again Cameron's hair and let her stand up, only to be kicked in the abdomen.

The American wrestler started to apply some effective manoeuvres to Sylwia, even trying for a pin after a jumping DDT, but the blonde kicked out at one.

Using her more imposing figure, Sylwia first hit her with a European Uppercut and then delivered a devastating backbreaker. Cameron managed to save herself from the three count by placing one foot on the nearby ropes, making Sylwia freak out and yell obscenities in her mother tongue. To cut it short, and based on the favourable position of her opponent, the Polish bombshell decided to already go for her moonsault.

She jumped onto the top rope and jumped, but Cameron moved and this caused Sylwia to land badly. It was then, the moment she even managed to land on her feet, that Sylwia felt a searing pain in her left knee, something breaking, and causing her to collapse to the ground, clutching her knee as she screamed in pain.

The entire arena whispered at what appeared to be something serious. The referee kneeled down to Sylwia, who was literally holding her knee, clearly in a severe pain. "You good?" He asked. "Can you get up?"

Sylwia didn't know where she found the strength to hold on to the ropes in front of her, trying to stand up, but as she did so, the pain only became more intense. She literally couldn't couldn't put any weight on her knee, the pain was so bad.

Cameron, not having noticed how serious the injury was, decided to attack the Pole right on the left knee, causing the Pole to fall again, who was screaming. Just in that moment, the girl realised what was going on.

Taking the situation into his own hands, and noting the seriousness of the injury and the impossibility of continuing the match, the referee signaled to ring the bell, declaring the end of the match.

Meanwhile backstage, it took several superstars to not let Randy run to the ring. 'We're live on television!' They told him, trying to calm him down, as if that even mattered something. He couldn't bear the idea of not running to the girl only because they were fucking filming.

On the ring, the referee called for medics, while the cameras finally turned off, causing the television network to go on commercial.

"Girl, I'm so sorry!" Ariane kept repeating, running her hands in her hair stressed. "I swear I did not notice! I didn't want to!"

In all honesty, Sylwia was not even listening to her, or to anyone around her. The meds helped her get up and exit the ring, avoiding putting her leg on the ground. Halfway back through the backstage, however, the girl had to stop, leaning on the barricades to catch her breath.

"Fuck it!" Randy groaned backstage, pushing away both Stephen and Nick to run to the stage, causing people to claiming him, but he couldn't care less. He approached Sylwia and the meds, pushing also them away just to picking up the girl and quickly taking her to the infirmary backstage. "I told you to be careful." He said in the end, once she laid the young woman on the bed. From his voice it was clear he was mad. Mad that he had to watch her in pain and not being able to do something.

"Randy." Sylwia said, gritting her teeth in pain. "Let's save all these 'I told you so', please."

Randy looked at her, trying to not cry for all the pain she was suffering. He took a deep breath and couldn't help but hug her, her face in his chest as to protect her. "I'm sorry." He said, leaving a kiss on her forehead. "I'd take your pain if only I could."

"Please no, I'd wish this pain only to some people..." Sylwia managed to say, trying to light up the mood. "Thank you for picking me, by the way. Aren't you going to be in trouble for that?"

"I couldn't stay there and do nothing." The man said, sweetly caressing her hair. "You're worth every trouble and everything."

They remained hugged in silence until the doctors arrived to examine the Polish girl. The diagnosis was terrible for the athlete: torn ACL; the girl was then sent to the nearest hospital to confirm the diagnosis.

There they told her that an operation was needed and that it would take six to nine months to be able to return to the ring.

The world fell on Sylwia; she was at the height of her career, she was close to her first career, and now she was forced to sit still for almost a year. It was frustrating. She was so angry that she even threw a vase against the wall, regardless of having to pay for the damages.

Randy stayed by her side all the time, never letting her go. He let her vent, all the anger she had in her body also dictated by sadness. He knew the feeling, being sideline with injury was the worse thing for an athlete.

"Don't you have to go?" Sylwia asked in the end, taking few deep breaths. "I don't want to bother you..."

"Sylwia." He spoke, putting his arm over her shoulders. "I'm not moving or going anywhere. I'm here for you and always be."

"What a melt." The girl managed even to chuckle. "Thank you, again."

"Don't even mention it." Randy smiled at her.

And he was right, when he told he was always gonna be there for her. He was there when Sylwia entered the operating room, he was there when she woke up, away from her family and friends, he was there during the post-operation and during the various physiotherapy sessions and visits. He was there to cheer her up, every week as soon as she came back from an episode of Raw or Smackdown, he was always there for her.

And even when he was not there physically, he made sure to let her know he was thinking of her, just like, for example, when he retained his title at Elimination Chambers, the ppv where Sylwia was supposed to become champion too. After his match, the man approached the closest cameras, saying: "This is for you, pretty girl!". At first everyone thought it was dedicated to Kim, his official girlfriend, but during the after victory conference, the man confirmed it was for Sylwia. That was nor the only or last time he did such a thing publicly.

All that closeness and care towards her did nothing but make Sylwia fall in love more and more, making her hope that sooner or later he would finally be only hers.

December 2023, Florida

The birthday party started late in the afternoon, but by the morning everything was already perfect, mostly because Sylwia already freaked out dozens of times with the party planners. How did they dare to even try to do a mediocre job for her son's birthday party? That was unacceptable!

"I have to call my plastic surgeon!" The Polish woman dramatically said, sitting down on her living room, where her sister was. "I'm getting wrinkles from all this stress!" She grabbed one little mirror and groaned. "See, Lukrecja? This is why I hate people!"

"What a drama queen!" Her older sister commented, laughing at her. "It's not that deep!"

"It is, honey, it is!" The younger Polish shook her head, grabbing a cup of Martini on the tray on the coffee table. "I've woken up at six this morning to settle everything, do my hair and makeup, deciding what to wear, preparing Rafał and dealing with incompetent people!" She vented, downing the cocktail in two gulps. "I need more than one drink, Lukrecja, I'm fucking stressed! I need a spa day, at least, I need some Botox on my face and I need sex."

At her words, the older sister laughed again, louder this time. "Hasn't the viper strike yet?" She teased.

Sylwia shot her a killer glance. It had never been a secret that Lukrecja adored Randy, despite having only met him in person a few times, but despite everything, she knew that he had made her little sister happy and it was also noticeable how much the man loved Sylwia. Despite it all. "No." The younger Wodiczko replied, rolling her eyes.

"Well, I invited him." The older woman confessed with a shrug.

"You did what?"

"I invited Randy Orton to Rafał's birthday party. Should I repeat or are you not that deaf?"

"And are you naturally this stupid or did mom hit you more times than she admits to your empty head?"

"What an ungrateful sister I do have!" Lukrecja shook her head, amused by her sister's reaction. "Our family is all in Poland, you invited Rafał's school friends, who are kids, and some fellow wrestlers, yet you don't invite Randy?"

"Yes?" Sylwia sounded unsure about her answer. Maybe her sister was right, it should have been her inviting Randy. After all, she invited also Walter and his wife, Maryse and Mike, Fabian and his girlfriend and Marcel and Tetiana, her closest friends in the business... "Well, thank God I have you, I guess."

Just a few minutes later, the doorbell of her villa rang, and Sylwia ordered a catering waiter to answer the door. Who could possibly be? The party was only starting in two hours, but Sylwia just had a feeling, and usually that was never wrong.

And it was right also this time, when Randy showed up in the living room, accompanied by his daughters, bringing with them few gifts. "Dobry wieczór?" He greeted, sounding a little bit unsure about his pronunciation.

"Randy!" Lukrecja exclaimed, getting up and hurrying to hug him, kissing him on the cheeks two times. "Long time no see!"

Taken back by such a warm reaction, Randy chuckled. He was aware that Sylwia's father hated his gut for what happened between him and her daughter, and that hate was probably from her brother, but he didn't imagine her sister was still that fond in him. "Hello Lukrecja! Nice seeing you again!"

"Relax, don't be so stiff!" The older Polish woman teased, laughing. "We are all so happy you accepted our invitation!" She looked at his daughters and smiled. "Girls, hello! I'm Lukrecja, Sylwia's sister! Mind following me to the playground?" She grabbed both girls by hands and led them to the garden, where her own kids were already playing.

Now left alone in the living room, Sylwia and Randy starred at each other. "Yeah, thank you for coming!" The Polish woman smiled a bit, gesturing him to take a seat!

Randy did, sitting next to her and placing an arm behind her seat. "Couldn't miss a family party, could I?" He said. "Told you I was serious about that."

"Then you better get ready for Wojciech Wodiczko." The woman couldn't help but laugh. "He still can't see you!"

At that, the man couldn't help but laugh too. "I'm more than ready to make him change his mind."

"Well, then start working on your plan!" The blonde Pole handed him a Margarita. "Because I'm bringing my family here for New Year's first Smackdown!"

"Are you going back to Poland?" Randy couldn't help but ask. Christmas was approaching soon and he already imagined to spent it with Sylwia, as the company let every athlete rest for the festivities.

Sylwia nodded. "Yes. I'm leaving three days before Christmas, be back three days after New Year." She explained. "We're gonna be celebrating also Rafał's late birthday there!"

Randy nodded. "That's very cool!" And it was for real. He was happy that, at least, she could spend time with her family, even though he couldn't be physically with her. "Then don't worry, I'm gonna be having a serious manly conversation with your father. Mark my words, he's gonna love me."

"Don't be so cocky, Orton!"

"Randy!" Rafał's voice startled the two wrestlers, who turned towards the arch that divided the kitchen from the living room, where the child began running to reach them. The three years old kid literally jumped into Randy's arms, who picked him up.

Sylwia narrowed her eyebrows, realising how mix her son adored the man. She knew he did, just not this much. "Looks like you're his favourite now." She commented.

"Looks like I am." Randy chuckled, playfully tickling the baby's stomach. "Happy birthday buddy!" He looked over Sylwia. "Do I have to say it in Polish?"

The blonde woman shook her head. "No need to, he knows what that means." She got closer to them, fixing Rafał's blonde hair. "Jak odpowiadasz?"

Rafał looked at Randy and giggled, clapping his hands. "Thank you!" He replied, his accent obviously very strong. "Chcesz się ze mną pobawić?"

At that, Randy looked over the woman, hoping for a translation. "He asks if you want to play with him." Sylwia shrugged.

"Oh, thanks." Randy cleared his throat, giving his full attention to the birthday boy. "Tak!"

And Sylwia watched them, throughout the party, with all the guests and activities, and with Rafał who barely let go of Randy's hand. It was also that evening that the child repeated to his mother that the man looked a lot like her father. It was a nice party, everyone had fun even though it was a child's birthday; and everyone could see how much those two idiots really seemed like a family. Lukrecja even took several photos of them to send into their family WhatsApp groupchat, almost giving their father an heart attack.

When everyone left, only the Wodiczko family and Randy with his daughters remained, with the latter offering to help tidy up everything. It was late at night when they finished, Randy's daughters were so tired that they fell asleep on the Polish woman's couch, just like Rafał who did between Randy's arm.

"Should I take him to bed?" He quietly asked to Sylwia, who was about to pop a bottle of Polish vodka in the kitchen, a jar of cucumbers on the table in front of her. That was so her.

Laying down the alcohol, Sylwia got closer to them. "If that's not a problem..."

"It's not." The man replied with a smile. "Just show me where his room is..."

"Follow me." She ordered, taking him on the first floor of her villa, opening her son's bedroom door so they could enter.

It was a nice room, with blue decorations, a Polish flag on the wall and some photos of football players all around.

"That's nice." Randy commented, placing down the kid in his bed and tucking him in. "Does he sleep with lights on like you do?"

Sylwia nodded, making Randy chuckle. The man stayed sat on Rafał's bed for some minutes, watching him sleep peacefully, and he smiled. All that felt so right. Getting up he left a kiss on the little boy's forehead, like a father would do. "Goodnight little champion!" He whispered for then approaching Sylwia, who was leaning against the door frame. "I think it's time for me too to go."

The woman shook her head, grabbing his hand so she could close the bedroom door. She gestured him to follow her down the kitchen, where she took out two glasses and filled them with vodka. "Can't leave without a proper toast, can you?"

"No, I can't." He smiled again, grabbing the glass she was handing him. "What should we toast about?"

"To being here, I guess." Sylwia shrugged. "Have any better ideas?"

"No, it's perfect." Randy nodded, making his glass tilt with hers. "To being here for each other."

Who do you think will win at Elimination Chambers??

Here's my predictions:

Men EC: Drew. As much id love Randy to win, I feel like they're letting Drew win; I'm not mad about it though, as he's cool. Still not my first pick.

Women EC: I hope anyone but not Becky Lynch. Overrated, boring.

Undisputed Tag Team Championship: still The Judgment Day.

Women's World Championship: Mami obviously.
