A/N: I'm not busy this week, I want to update this story while I still can.
"BUSAAAAAN!"
Eunwoo spread his arms to feel the warm breeze of spring, it is so good to feel alive again, thankfully the great Jeon Jungkook has a very luxurious convertible car that can completely get rid of the top.
Jungkook laughed quietly at his childishness, he looked like he had not seen Busan since birth although they're frequent a goer in this city; clubbing, basketball tune-ups, and even Spring Basketball leagues. Although he kept his laugh to himself, he too felt so better with a warm breeze hitting his face. It's been a rough winter, everything was Ice, he can't train basketball outside so he is stuck with doing his workout routine in Eunwoo's gym. He took his expensive sunglasses out of his small compartment and wore them to enjoy the warm breeze while he drove the busy long street of Busan towards his girlfriend.
And in a matter of minutes just as soon as they arrived at the terminal, the bus where Min Hee rode back home arrived. Jungkook leans his body next to his car as he watches the people get out of the bus one by one. Not too long after he saw a familiar woman, with long hair, wearing thin black-coated metal circular glasses.
He knew exactly it was his girlfriend.
"Min Hee-ya!" Jungkook's lips curved into a smile as he put down his glasses, everyone in the terminal saw the infamous basketball rookie player who represented South Korea in a recent international game.
Everyone was dumbstruck by his handsome appearance, he was all over South Korea as a "Three-pointers Prince" or as "The Prince of the Game" as Korean netizens said after he had a buzzer-beater and won the close match during the semi-finals of the FIBA World Cup. Although they didn't win the Championship, it's been a long time since South Korea was qualified to join in that prestigious event.
"Babe!"
Min Hee ran towards her long-time boyfriend, embracing him like she had not seen him for years, "I miss you so much,"
Jungkook mirrored her as he hooked her waist with his one arm, digging his face into the crook of her neck, "I missed you too, baby,"
They stayed a few seconds feeling their warmth before he pulled back to get her things to the compartment.
"It's good to see you back noona," Eun Woo greeted Min Hee and moved back to the back seat to give the Princess of Jungkook's life the throne next to him.
"It's good to see you to Eunwoo, where's Chaeyoung?" Min Hee asked.
"She's at the store, we will close the convenience store for you and Jimin later at night so she decided to open early and stay," Eunwoo explained.
"Is that so? That's good to hear that Jimin is coming home," Min Hee said while taking the passenger seat next to Jungkook.
"Are you all good?" Jungkook asked them and they nodded, "Okay, let's go to the KBA first, I have meetings for Spring League,"
"Wouldn't that be in Seoul?" Eunwoo asked him.
"No, I heard it somewhere else this time, so I had to go to the Busan branch to know," Jungkook said.
"Sure, just drop me off at my dentist, call me whenever you finished," Eunwoo said.
"Okay, how bout you, baby? Are you coming with me?" Jungkook asked her.
"No, just drop me off at Shinsegae, I still need to buy gifts for your mom," Min Hee said.
"You don't have to do that," Jungkook started the car and drove off, "She already has way too much luxury,"
"I still want to, she's supporting my education," Min Hee said in her defense.
"Whatever, do what you have to do," Jungkook just gave up, it's useless arguing with her. She always wins.
Time passes by and soon enough the night came earlier than they thought it would be. Jungkook's meeting ended at noon and decided to meet up at Shinsegae instead. It was nightfall when Min Hee finished her shopping so they decided to bring more drinks and meat to grill at Chaeyoung's place to welcome both Jimin and Min Hee back for their Spring break at his internship and her review respectively.
"Hi, Chae! I'm so glad I came back this break to see you before your birthday comes up," Min-Hee greeted Chaeyoung while she was marinating the meat. "I can't come to your birthday next week because of the bar exam,"
"It's fine unnie, but I must say. you don't look like you went from law school, how is your face glowing?" Chaeyoung complimented her.
Min Hee chuckled, to be praised by the Park Chaeyoung herself is a great honor. She knew she wasn't as beautiful as her but still, she could pull off something on her sleeves, "Seoul makeup is good these days, I've been taking notes,"
"Ahh you named it, I wish it wasn't that far to buy toners," Chaeyoung said while watching Min Hee getting back hugged by her boyfriend. "It's really good to see you back, Min Hee unnie,"
Chaeyoung starts grilling the meat that they bought, "how long are you going to make this big bunny wait?"
"Ya, who's the bunny?!" Jungkook widened his eyes at her.
"You are," Min Hee kissed his cheek, chuckling.
"Eww! Too cheesy!" Chaeyoung felt the strong shivers on her skin, seeing Jungkook too sweet is so rare nowadays since Min Hee is not around so much.
"Ah right before I forgot, we invited Lisa along unnie, I know you haven't seen her quite much but she said she'll be here," Chaeyoung said out loud someone from afar heard which caused a loud crash of bottles, it caught all of their attention.
"Wait who's coming?!"
"Park Jiminaaa!!"
It was none other than the twin of Chaeyoung, Park Jimin. It's no secret that he has been infatuated by Lisa for many years. Ever since she arrived at their small village, he tries and tries to communicate with her but never really hangs around. He did have a small conversation with her but more of it she would drag Chaeyoung before he tried to confess his feelings.
"Aish! Ya! Jimina! Clean your mess up, I'm not gonna do that for you!" Chaeyoung scolded her twin but Jimin hopped his way towards her instead.
"Are you sure she is coming?!" Jimin asked her.
"Yes, she is," Chaeyoung answered him. He started jumping out of excitement.
"The goddess is coming!" "The goddess is coming!" Jimin excitedly said.
"Mwo? Goddess? That woman?" Jungkook laughed, "That woman can kill you with her eyes, she's too poisonous to be one,"
"Jungkook," Min Hee elbowed him, "Be nice, she's probably just introverted,"
"Introvert my ass, She isn't introvert, she just hated my guts so I give back the same vibe," Jungkook expresses his hatred.
"She hated you because you hated her too," Chaeyoung defended her before flipping the meat, "I'll let Min Hee unnie meet her at peace,"
"Go ahead, she only hates me, but you. I think you can be friends with her," Jungkook rolled his eyes before going to Eun Woo who does nothing but read books, interrupting him just for fun.
"Will she? I picture her as a snob, isn't she wealthy?" Min Hee hesitated.
"We don't know if she is but she's not a snob," Jungkook defended her, "If I were to describe her, she's pretty friendly," "She'll talk to you even if she hated you,"
"To be friends with Lisa... What an honor," Min Hee nodded. Lisa is probably the talk of the people since she came. No one knows where she came from but everyone thinks she's the most beautiful maiden in all over the village. She looks like a celebrity on television and to be friends with her is something she wouldn't dare think of.
"I wanna know how she maintains her beauty, she's always glowing when I see her, and she's not even wearing anything!" Min Hee opened her mouth in shock, "I wanna know her beauty secrets so bad,"
"Oh you'll never guess, but I just recently went to her house to borrow her hair blower," Chaeyoung chuckled as she asked Min Hee to come closer.
"What what?" Min Hee followed.
"So I went to her bathroom, where she guided me, and she's not using anything aside from moisturizer and toner," Chaeyoung revealed.
"What?! You're not serious?! She must be joking!" Min Hee slapped the space between them, "She's gatekeeping her routine or probably goes to a beauty salon once or twice a week,"
"I know right? She must be going to Busan now and then to keep her beauty intact," Chaeyoung laughed.
"So.." Jimin was finally able to interrupt them, "Where is she right now?"
"She's already here," Eun Woo who's been on the camping chair, reading books on the side saw Lisa parked her Rubicon. Everyone went to the side to look at where Eunwoo saw her and there they saw Lisa wearing an oversized white shirt, denim shorts, and a black Dr. Martin slipper.
She closed her car door and locked it as she walked towards Chaeyoung's stairs beside the store towards her rooftop.
"Is that her new car?" Min Hee asked.
"Hmm.. I haven't seen that before," Chaeyoung said.
"Just how much is she making to afford a gladiator Rubicon, I think it's 100 million won plus the shipping cost millions too," Eun Woo who loved cars, especially a mountain trailer sport truck envied her.
"She's loaded, last winter break I saw her driving a new Mini Cooper too," Jimin said, he remembered on his break before his last semester in college, she saw her getting on a mini Cooper somewhere near Busan.
"And the Hyundai she was using earlier is different than the last time too," Eunwoo speculated, "She is a small house, how can she fit all her cars,"
Chaeyoung paused, "Hmm.. I don't know, she probably borrowed it,"
Eunwoo remembers it crystal clear, that Lisa once said that no one was in the house beside her. That means she lives by herself. If it isn't because she loves cars, why does she use different cars many times? It's weird and unusual. Even the wealthy Jeon Jungkook has one car on his own, it's a little more expensive but she has more.
Everyone looks at each other while they hear the faint sound of footsteps on the stairs, but with just their eyes, they know some is a bit weird. Their mind speaks one thing.
Who uses a lot of cars, if she lives by yourself?
And even though their thoughts speak the same, they couldn't voice it out until Lisa arrived. Chaeyoung breaks the silence and walks towards Lisa instead.
"Hi babe I missed you!" Chaeyoung, the extrovert, went to hug Lisa who was weirded by Chaeyoung's action. Min Hee followed behind to finally be able to talk to the most mysterious yet beautiful woman in the village.
"We haven't been separated for a day Chae," Lisa chuckled.
"Hi Lisa," Min Hee looked at her from head to toe. At first glance, she would think that she's too serious but when she looks into her doll eyes, she can feel her innocence and purity. Just like how soft her face looks and the pink plump of her lips. She's so beautiful, that she almost lost her word.
"I'm Kim Min Hee, I hope we get along," Min-Hee lifted her hand for a handshake.
Lisa looks at her hand, In her mind she thinks Min Hee is closing a one billion project with her company which she had just done in Busan before she went here.
She gave her a small meaningful smile and shook her hand, "Hi I'm Lisa, I heard you're gonna be a lawyer someday,"
Lisa's eyes smiled as she widened the curve of her lips. Jeon's future in law is most definitely a good asset for their future, so it's not surprising why Mrs Jeon likes this woman. She's a scholar at Korea University Law School and is a member of a national debate for women of law in this country. She also heard that Kang's family supports her fund, and is an intern at their law firm.
She's most possibly the person to be in charge of the business if she marries Jeon Jungkook. Since Jungkook pursued basketball instead of running their business.
"I hope we get along well, I don't want to be on your bad side," Lisa gets along with their tempo.
"Is it because I'm on the law side?" Min Hee curiously asked.
Lisa chuckled lightly at her witty, "You're an attorney, you mostly want to fight for the right, instead of the convicted am I right?"
"Of course! If you have any questions about anything political or whatever or anything feel free to ask me," "Call me Min Hee unnie," Min Hee winked.
"Oh.. by how many years?" Lisa asked, quite shocked that she was older.
"Just a year, I guess all of you are the same age, Jungkook is the same age as you," Min-Hee said.
Lisa nodded lightly, "I see.."
"Babe, help me finish cooking the meat so we can eat already," "I'm so hungry!" Chaeyoung pulled her towards the griller to finish the cooking before they ate a one big table on the rooftop of Chaeyoung's store.

"Do you want any help?"
Lisa heard the most annoying voice of Chaeyoung's twin while she voluntarily cleaned the table after they ate. Fortunately, he changed somehow, back then he would annoy her every minute he saw her. This time he waited, she should be lenient with him, "You don't need to, I'm already finished, when did you arrive?"
Everyone except Min Hee was quite shocked that she started talking to him, obviously in the group, Lisa was the most quiet of all. If she's not bickering with Jungkook she stays silent and listens, or won't talk whenever people who are strangers to her come with them.
Jimin's face lightened up as he took the seat next to her, "I-I just arrived earlier, why? did you miss me?"
Lisa's lips twitched, this is the reason why she doesn't talk to him, he's a jokester, "Why would I miss you?"
"I don't know, probably because you finally realize you have feelings for me too," Jimin said with a smile.
"Pft—hahaha!" Jungkook laughed out loud hearing the absurdity of him, he understands if Lisa doesn't like him, more so if she hates him.
"Shut it, kook," Lisa side-eyed Jungkook before turning back to Jimin, "I have nothing to realize, I don't like you from the start,"
Chaeyoung laughed, "Stop pestering her, maybe she'll consider it chim,"
Jimin got offended and scoffed at her, "Maybe if you shut up, mom wouldn't be in Seoul with me, you big mouth,"
"Ya!" Chaeyoung hissed at him before he left his seat and walks out, "Piss off!"
"You piss off!" Jimin stomped his feet on the other side.
"Don't mind him, babe, I got you," Chaeyoung went next to her, "He's simple-minded for someone who wanted to be a doctor,"
"Not technically simple-minded, he's just got a little bit annoyed because Jungkook laughed," Eun woo defended Jimin, "He just doesn't know how to court,"
"He doesn't," Lisa lightly chuckled, "I just don't want him to believe there's hope,"
"That's thoughtful of you Lisa," Eun Woo agreed.
"Did you have a boyfriend before?" Min Hee asked her.
"Uhh I pity him already if you had," Jungkook took a big sigh, "You look like someone who didn't have any relationship in the past,"
"Stupid do you think I'll date someone I hate? I pity unnie for dating you dumbhead, she had to be the bigger person to understand your attitude," Lisa hissed at him.
"No, she should be thankful I'm the most understanding person in the world," Jungkook defended himself.
"Why did the conversation end up about me, we're talking about Lisa here," Min Hee put the real subject back on the conversation, "So did you ever?"
"Yeah I did," Lisa said nonchalantly.
"Really?!" Chaeyoung suddenly got interested, "How does he look like? Did he treat you right?"
"Yeah, and why did you break up?" Eunwoo added.
"Well.." Lisa felt all their eyes on her, "He's... nice,"
"That's it?" Jungkook chuckled sarcastically.
"Well," Lisa thought through her head of her ex's good traits, she smiled, "He's someone that makes you smile, although he's serious with his career, he would make time to be with me, he once tried breaking into my house before but he failed so we got scolded by my dad,"
"Awee! Tell us more, I'm so invested," Min-Hee put all her attention on Lisa.
"Uhm.. He likes basketball too.. he played a lot back in the day," Lisa mentioned, "I haven't gone to his official matches before but I've seen him play with his friends in Seoul,"
"Who's better? Me or him?" Jungkook asked.
"I haven't seen you play, but I guess he's better than you," Lisa answered.
"Ya! Your siding with your ex? You've already broken up and I'm your friend! you have to support me!" Jungkook nagged.
"Shut up, you're ruining the mood!" Eunwoo threw a paper towel at him. "So how did you break up?"
Chaeyoung hit him on his shoulder, clicking her tongue, "You're no better,"
"Well, we didn't have a real closure," Lisa sighed, "He had to leave the country for training, I have life here in Cheon Seong, He tried to contact me but I know our relationship wouldn't work anyway,"
"So you two broke up because you went here?" Eunwoo asked.
"Partly," Lisa nodded, "And mostly because of family issues, his whole family hated me,"
*Lisa's phone rang*
Thankfully her phone rang in the best way possible, she could excuse herself from all the questions. Love wasn't her specialty, especially because the previous one made her heart scream. She was so in love with him yet she had no choice but to break up.
"Sorry I have to take this call," She stood up answering the call whilst she signaled them that she had someone calling her. Chaeyoung nodded in response before Lisa turned away from where Jimin's direction.
"Who would have thought she had a boyfriend before," Chaeyoung imagined Lisa being so in love with a man. She hates men.
"I bet he's handsome and wealthy," Min-Hee speculated, she couldn't imagine Lisa being with ugly broke men. No one ever guesses but she thinks the only person who can make Lisa fall in love with is a handsome man.
"You're all thinking too much, I bet her boyfriend just had enough of her temper," He stood up, taking out his box of cigarettes, "I'll be back in a minute,"
"Again?" Min Hee watched him put a stick on his lips, "I told you to stop smoking, you're killing yourself with that,"
"If you hated it that much then why do you like my kisses?" Jungkook walks away with a smirk.
Flustered Min Hee creases her brows, "Stop smoking Jungkook! That's bad for your health!"
"Okay, I'll do it next time," Jungkook waved his hands as he walked down the stairs toward the parking space of Chaeyoung's store.
He lighted his cigarette and gently inhaled the intoxicating fumes of his addiction. He wasn't a chain smoker. It helps him calm down, especially after some hectic games that somehow they lose. Because right now, his mother giving him a whole lot of headaches. Messaging him nonstop that all he did was to turn off his sound.
Right, they knew Min Hee would be back on her spring break so they have tons of reason to contact him.
"They want what?"
Jungkook heard Lisa's voice not far from where he was, she looked serious with her hand in her pocket. It's not his business to eavesdrop, it's just she's near and loud, and he can hear everything she says.
"No, No.. I'll go there, I'll be back in Busan by.." Lisa pulled her phone away from her ears to see the time on her screen, 8:49 pm, "I'll be there by 12,"
"Busan?" Jungkook whispered curiosity him, "Who is she meeting in Busan at midnight?"
Jungkook got so curious that he started to eavesdrop on her, thankfully he was in the shadows of the lamppost shade, so she couldn't see his face.
"I thought they only wanted distribution who would have thought they were seeking for partnership," Lisa said as she talked to her secretary in Busan who received a notice that a paper arrived in Busan that she needed to look at.
Her secretary offered to bring it to her but she told her to stay in the villa in Busan instead of going here. This place is still her haven, she doesn't want anyone besides the people who knew before to know her location. It's the most reason why she changes her vehicle once in a while.
"Alright, I'll see you there, Secretary Noh," Lisa was about to end the call but her secretary said something that moved her heart.
"Your father wants you to go back to Seoul, Milady,"
Lisa took a pause, she almost ended the call. "Did Dad tell you that?"
"Yes, Milady,"
Going back to Seoul is not within her reach, she doesn't have a firm legacy that she would proudly say on her debut in the future. Her father kept his reign growing every day and somehow she wanted to upscale his legacy but she just couldn't. She's envious of his success while she's just established her business on international trades after 3 years of hard work.
She's far from debuting.
She wants a full-scale operation that she can say that she has accomplished. Even though her father thinks she's already in a good position to be publicly announced as the next person to him, she still thinks she's not good enough.
"I'll visit him," Lisa pursed her lips, disappointed in herself, "I'll go back to Seoul because I miss him too,"
"Okay, I will tell Chairman Cheon your answer, Milady,"
Lisa bet her father understands that visitation is not the same as going back. She knew she wasn't ready to enter the real world of Cheon.
And to be honest, she already got used to living in this place. The quietness, the friends she never thought would have, the isolation, and the independence she has here are different from Seoul.
She likes her independence more than being babied in a big mansion. The learnings of being a normal person made her realize how out of touch her life was back then. It made her feet on the ground.
Lisa ended the call herself. She closed her eyes and felt the warm breeze of air. You'll never get this provincial air in Seoul, the silence, the environment.
If she lives in Seoul again, she should forget that life here is just a dream. Because as soon as she steps foot on that place, her life would be more of a Cheon, than herself.
"So you've been lying to all of us now huh?"
Lisa's eyes abruptly opened when an angry voice suddenly broke down her train of thought. She moved a little to see who it was and it was Jimin.
"What?" Lisa confusedly asked.
"Oh don't be ridiculous," Jimin scoffed, "You've been deceiving us that you broke up with your ex-boyfriend! Or should I say, boyfriend?!"
"Huh?" Lisa creased her brows in fury as Jimin walked closer to her.
"You're just making things up!" Jimin shouted so loudly that some of the neighbors went out of their houses to gossip.
"What made you think I'm dating someone?" Lisa asked him.
"I heard you!" Jimin pointed his fingers at her while Chaeyoung and the others came while Jungkook remained in his position, hitting on his cigarette behind the lamp post.
"I heard you say you miss your boyfriend in Seoul! That you will visit him next time! Fuck!" Jimin cursed under his breath. "I thought you're an innocent woman who would never deceive anyone but I guess you're just as people say,"
"Jimina! You're being too much!" Chaeyoung was about to stop her brother but he beat her through it.
"Liking you is a curse," Jimin smirked.
Lisa and the others are shocked by what they've heard. Even Jungkook who's been silent from behind dropped his cigarette on the ground. There is wild speculation in the village that there could be a possibility that Lisa might have had a two-face. People love this rumor because she's so mysterious.
No one knew who she was.
No one knows her full name.
And no one in this town... ever had her.
She's so mysterious that rumors start to feed their mind that she might be a prisoner who just got out of jail. A woman who committed a crime and now is hiding. Or an enchantress who has a two-face, telling people she's innocent of all claims but inside was different.
A bitch who would woo any man.
And by Jimin's word as he expresses his anger after knowing she had boyfriend before, everyone who gossiped on their misconceptions now believes that she's the last.
