"get out jieun i need to pee!" ayaka screamed, knocking on the door. jieun was washing her hands, delaying just a bit to annoy her japanese friend.
"just use the restroom in jaemin's room." jeno said, pushing a box past her. ayaka looked at the mentioned boy, his back turned towards the both of them.
she rushed off to jaemin's room, swinging the door open and closed. she really needed to pee if it wasn't already obvious.
jieun finally stepped out of the restroom, making her way to jisung's
permanent room. hyein and chenle were gathered around photo albums that jisung had unpacked, jisung placing already looked at albums onto the built in shelf. "jisung you were a cute baby." hyein said, flipping thru the pages.
jisung glanced at the girl, his eyes shining brighter than normal. jisung made it painfully obvious how much he enjoyed her presence, but the lack of movement in their relationship said otherwise. "jisung you've always had a big head." jisung just sighed at chenle's remark, continuing to clean his room.
jieun walked away from jisung's room, heading back to the living room where everyone else was gathered. renjun was sat on the floor, folding clothes he needed to put in boxes, "renjun where are you gonna keep this stuff when you're gone?" mai asked, the girl helping him place the shirts into the box.
renjun passed her another shirt, huffing, "probably gonna mail them to my grandma's house and whenever i come back i'll go get them." mai nods, placing the shirt into the box.
jieun walked over to them, squatting down behind renjun to hug him. renjun let her, continuing to fold shirts and talk to mai at the same time. jieun kept her head on his upper back, her knees slowly starting to hurt.
"i didn't know your grandma lived in Korea." she felt renjun nod, the boy moving on to pants that he could probably get rid of if he really wanted to.
"yea she moved here with me when i was younger, we moved back and forth a lot though so i know she's gonna stay here forever." mai nodded, taking the pair of pants from his hands.
"jieun are you okay?" jieun nods against his back, renjun holding onto her hands that were wrapped around his neck. he feels up her bracelet that he had given her, peaking over his shoulder to see what she was doing.
"mai! come look at our baby photos!" chenle shouted, screaming from jisung's new room.
mai stood up, brushing off any dust on her pants that might've accumulated when she was sitting down on the floor. she skipped away from the two, jieun repositioning herself so she was sat next to renjun instead of behind him.
ayaka had walked out of jaemin's room, the boy immediately noticing, "what the hell were you doing in my room?" ayaka sat down, helping haechan clean plates that he had taken down from the cupboards.
"jieun was taking forever in the bathroom so jeno said to use yours." jeno just smiled at jaemin, the boy exasperated.
"good thing it was clean.." jaemin went back to cleaning out the fridge, throwing away food that smelled and/or looked expired. ayaka glanced behind her, looking at renjun and jieun.
she sighed, turning around to look at the boys and leaned over,
practically laying on the island, "do you think they'll be okay?" the group of boys glanced at renjun and jieun as well, the couple being oddly quiet.
jaemin sighed, looking back into the fridge, "they'll be alright. they have a really strong relationship. i think i'm more scared for us. we haven't been separated in so long and it's making me sad." ayaka nodded, sitting back on the bar stool.
renjun and jieun sat in silence, the girl fiddling with his friendship ring. renjun had placed another pair of pants into the box with his other hand, leaning back to rest against the couch. jieun joined him, scooting back so her neck would land in one of the crevices.
jieun thought over their whole situation once more, the girl feeling her lips quiver. renjun had noticed her long silence, glancing at her, "jieun don't cry. you're gonna make me not want to leave more." the girl let the tears fall, wrapping her arms around him.
renjun loosely kept his arms around her waist, not wanting to let go, "it'll only be a year, right?" jieun nodded, just hugging him tighter.
