When I got to the battle court, to my surprise I didn't see the gym leader anywhere.
"Hey, where's the gym leader?" I wondered in confusion.
"Greetings challenger"
"Huh?"
To my shock, I saw a man standing on top of the windmill and seeing him jump off it made my eyes widen and even more after he made a perfect landing.
"Whoa" I gasped.
"You did well to come this far" the man comment.
"Oh uh...thanks"
"I am Brassius, an artist specializing in grass type pokemon, I am also the gym leader here at the Artazon gym"
I was surprised, so he's the gym leader, wow.
"That landing you did sure was amazing" I couldn't help but comment in amazement.
"Why thank you young lady, I was observing your gym test from atop the windmill"
I was more surprised then ever.
"You were?"
"Of course, the perception you displayed in finding Sunflora was truly...oh how should I describe it?" Brassius put his right hand on his chin with a thinking expression.
I felt my hands sweat a little because I was nervous to hear what he he to say.
"It was truly avant garde" Brassius exclaimed with a big smile.
I felt relived when he said that.
"Well, I can't take all the credit because my Eevee helped out"
"But of course, I only pray that you might demonstrate that eye for beauty in our battle as well, but enough talk we must begin creating out collaborative work of art"
"I'm ready" I grinned.
"Then let's take our places shall we"
"Yes sir"
After we got in our spots, I called out Crocalor and Brassius called out his Petilil.
"Crocalor, you ready?"
"Croc" Crocalor nodded.
"Petilil, use sunny day"
It blasted it's power up to the sky and it made the sun shine brighter.
"Now use solar beam"
Uh oh, now I see why he didn't attack the first time.
"Crocalor, be careful"
"Croc"
Then Petilil blasted it's solar beam.
"Crocalor, use flamethrower"
Crocalor's flamethrower and Petilil's solar beam hit each other and we're pushing each other.
"C'mon Crocalor, keep it up"
Petilil's solar beam was cancelled and so was Crocalor's flamethrower.
"Petilil, energy ball"
It then made a ball and blasted it towards Crocalor.
"Crocalor, dig"
He dug underground and Petilil was surprised.
When Crocalor came out, he tackled Petilil and it took Brassius by surprise.
"Petilil, leaf storm"
It began to make a leaf storm.
"Crocalor, blow your flames on the leafs while spinning around"
He blew out his flames and spun around in circles and all the leafs were destroyed.
"Now, fire blast let's go"
When he did, it made a direct hit on Petilil and it was down.
"Petilil is unable to battle, Crocalor wins"
"Way a go buddy" I say proudly.
"Croc" Crocalor says happily.
"Petilil, return"
It went back to it's pokeball and Brassius took out another one and called out his Smoliv.
"Crocalor, can you still go on?"
"Croc" Crocalor nodded.
"Smoliv, razor leaf let's go"
The Smoliv blasted it's razor leafs towards Crocalor.
"Crocalor, dodge it"
He jumped into the air.
"Crocalor, flamethrower now"
He blew out a huge flamethrower and aimed it towards Smoliv and it took alot of damage, but to our surprise, it managed to get up.
"Smoliv, use synthesis"
Sunlight began to shine down on Smoliv and it felt better afterwards.
"Smoliv, earth power" Brassius smirked.
My eyes widen that Smoliv knows a ground type move.
I was about to command an attack, but it was to late and the earth power attack hit Crocalor and he was down.
"Crocalor" I exclaimed worryingly.
"Crocalor is unable to battle, Smoliv wins"
"Crocalor, return"
When he came back to his pokeball, I smiled softly at it.
"Good job buddy, take a good rest"
Then I took out Riolu's pokeball.
"Riolu, you're up next"
He came out and was ready to battle.
"Smoliv, sunny day"
It blasted it's move towards the sun like how Petilil did, I know what he's up to bit I had an idea.
"Now use solar beam"
It was getting ready to do it's attack.
When it did, I waited and waited until finally.
"Riolu, dig"
He went underground and it took Smoilv by surprise, then out of nowhere Riolu came out of the ground and punched it.
"Riolu, ice punch"
His fist turned to ice and he punched Smoilv again and it was down.
"Smoliv is unable to battle, Riolu wins"
"Smoliv, return"
"Riolu, that was amazing"
"Rii" Riolu smiled.
"I'm down to my last pokemon, be ready, go Sudowoodo"
I was surprised that he called out a rock type pokemon but it probably has it's terrastalized form in a grass type, that's probably why.
"Riolu, you still wanna battle?"
"Rii" Riolu nodded.
"Sudowoodo, time to terrastalize"
"Riolu, ready to terrastalize?"
"Rii"
We both terrastalized our pokemon and I was right because Brassius's Sudowoodo was in a grass type form of its terrastalize.
"Sudowoodo, use grass knot"
Sudowoodo's move powered up and it hit Riolu.
"Riolu, you okay?"
"Rii"
"Grass knot again"
"Riolu, jump in the air and use high jump kick"
He jumped high into the air and kicked Sudowoodo right in the face and it took it off guard.
"Now, use ice punch"
"Sudowoodo, dodge it"
It shook off it's pain and jumped out of the way.
"Sudowoodo, use earthquake"
"Riolu, be careful"
Sudowoodo started to make the ground shake and Riolu tried his hardest to not lose his balance.
"Riolu, jump in the air again and use high jump kick"
He jumped even higher into the air and kicked Sudowoodo really hard and it was down.
"Sudowoodo is unable to battle, Riolu wins so the victory goes to Juliana"
The crowd cheered and I had a big smile on my face.
"Riolu, you did it, well done"
"Rii" Riolu cheered then he ran up to me and we both gave each other a big hug.
Then I saw Brassius walking up to us.
"What artistic tactics you employ"
"Thanks, you did very well too"
"The patterns of your moves, the minute details of your pokemon's performance, everything you did was honed to perfection"
"Thank you, we do train pretty hard, don't we buddy?"
"Rii" Riolu nodded.
"Our battle was art indeed, if we could not call that a work of artistry, then nothing else in this world could be labeled as such, if I were to judge your work, I would say it passes my inspection, yes a pass without exception" Brassius grinned.
"That means alot, thank you" I smiled.
"No problem, and as proof for your prowess, you may have my gym badge, shall we take a photo as well?"
"Yes, please"
We then took a picture and it came out great.
After that, I went back inside the gym, but then I heard a voice from behind me"
"Pardon me, are you that Juliana that I've been hearing so much about?"
I turned around and saw a man.
"Yes I am, who are you?" I ask in curiosity.
"I am Hassel, Nemona had mentioned that there was a promising new face in the academy"
"Oh, yeah I'm new at the academy, I started weeks ago"
"I see, I do apologize for calling out to you so suddenly" Hassel frowned.
"No worries" I smiled.
"I'm also one of the elite four of the pokemon league"
My eyes widen when he said that.
"Wait, really?"
"Yes" Hassel nodded with a huge smile.
"Wow"
"I also teach art classes at the academy"
"Double wow, you seem to have a really busy life" I comment in amazement.
"Yes, but I do enjoy it, so if you don't mind me asking young Juliana, what compels you to collect these gym badges and strive to be a champion?"
"I want to get stronger"
"Asked and answered, thank you"
"No problem sir"
"Well, naturally there is no correct answer, all paths lead to the Great Crater of Paldea as they say, you know, your friend Nemona is the youngest to achieve champion rank in all Paldea"
"Really, I didn't know that, I mean I know she's really strong but wow"
"Yes, is it possible that such great potential lies within you as well"
I smiled when he said that then he headed to the door, but before he stepped outside, he stopped and turned to me again.
"Please continue on aiming for the champion rank and I hope one day you will battle me and do come to my art class sometime, I would be thrilled to have you attend"
"Of course sir, I will come when I get a chance" I nodded.
"Wonderful, see you soon"
Then Hassel headed out.
After I got outside, I looked on the map to see that the fire crew team star base was close in east province area one so I decided to head there next.

Juliana and her team were now having lunch, she made some sweet fried food curry.

"Man, no wonder sweet fried food curry is Gloria's favorite. I thought to myself while chuckling.
Then I looked at my team and they were all eating happily.
"You all enjoying the curry?"
"Vee"
"Meow"
"Ruff"
"Croc"
"Rii"
"Quack"
"Grr"
*Ring Ring*
I jumped to the sound of my phone ringing, it was my friends so I answered and to my surprise, it wasn't just my friends, Leon was with them.
