"Who the hell keeps hitting at my door?!"
It took a few moments for the woman to realize who was at the door. When it finally hit her, she screamed like she had just seen her death.
"G-Garp-san!?"
"Long time no see, Dandan". Garp greeted her
The conversation went on, but Luffy paid them no mind. The kids decided to explore around while waiting for the adult to finish talking. Law and Luffy were going with each other when suddenly Luffy felt something was going to aim at him, so he dodged it out of nature. Law then grabbed Kikoku and stood in front of Luffy to protect his brother, but Luffy knew who did this, so he told Law to not worry. He looked at the way where the spit was shot from, there stood a black haired boy with freckles around his face. Luffy nearly cried, but he held it, he was so happy to see Ace again after such a long time. Garp then walked toward them and said
"Luffy, Law meet Ace. He is your new brother. All of you will live here together, so be nice."
"Ne, Ace, let's be friends." Luffy said while smiling. Law just stood there and said nothing.
Suddenly, Ace left them and went to the forest. Luffy almost forgot that Ace was like that when he first met him, Luffy felt so distant from his brother. But he knew that Ace was still questioning whether his existence was worth it or not. He was still searching for his answer. But this time Luffy wouldn't lose his brothers again, he would make sure Ace knew he was loved by many. He missed his brothers, but he also had to let them know who was stronger, and maybe they wouldn't be such a brocon like they used to back then. If only he could know that his brothers would get more worse.
Now was the time for dinner. Luffy's group, Dandan and Ace, were sitting with each other. The group only got a bowl of rice and a cup of water while the other got all the meat. This made Luffy grumpy, then Dandan said
"You guys can't have these meat, because Ace was the one who went hunting and he shared it with us. If you want to eat, you have to go hunting by yourself"
Corazon had figured that Luffy wouldn't be satisfied with just rice. He also knew it was because of the kid's devil fruit, Luffy would need more nutrition to stay active. Maybe he could find something for the kids. Luffy was sad, but he didn't care about it, he could go hunting with the others. He ate all the rice in one go, then turned to Dandan and asked
"Can I have another one?"
This got Dandan angry. She then shouted at the kid next to her.
"DON'T YOU REALIZE WHERE YOU'VE BEEN LEFT?!"
"No" the kids, except Luffy, answered.
"THEN I'LL TELL YOU GUYS. HERE IS THE HIDEOUT OF THE MOUNTAIN BANDIT WHO RULE MT. CORVO, THE DANDAN FAMILY!"
"Mountain bandit? I hate those guys" said Luffy he remembered Higuma and his men.
"Dandan-san! If you don't mind, we aren't going to live here since it doesn't have enough places for us. We don't really want to cause you trouble, so we will build another house near here, but we still come here if we need something" said Corazon.
"Suit yourself, then. I don't really care"
Dandan then sat down in her place and continued eating. Luffy was drooling in front of the plate of meat, but then Corazon told him that they would get meat later, so he was excited. Maybe they could do this as training for the soon-to-be Heart Pirates. Suddenly, Ace shot up and left. Luffy quickly stood up and turned his way to his group.
"I'm going after him. Law you could go and gather the wood, the other help him build the house. I'll come back with meat. See you later."
Then he ran off, Ace had noticed that Luffy was following him. Ace didn't like the kid, and didn't like the group either. The way that black haired boy protected Luffy made Ace think this kid was just a brat and everyone wanted to protect him like treasure. Ace didn't like brats, and he definitely didn't like weaklings. Ace then took the route which was more dangerous for Luffy.
After a while, Luffy lost trace of Ace, so he went back to the others. On his way back, he had killed a few crocodiles, and now he was carrying them home. The wooden house was finished. It was small but enough for 5 people. Inside there were 6 rooms, 1 infirmary for Law, 1 bedroom for Corazon, 2 bedrooms for the kids, and 1 bathroom. The rooms were placed on the two sides of the hall. The living room and kitchen were connected as one room in the middle of the house.
Law saw Luffy carrying crocodiles on his back, so he quickly swapped rocks and the crocodiles. Corazon then began to prepare the meat for the kids. They all helped their dad. They had succeeded in cooking the meat, but actually Law was the one who cooked it. The other could only peel the skin off the poor animal. At first, Corazon said he would do it, but they quickly rejected because they didn't want to sleep outside on their first day there.
When Ace was back from his trip, he was surprised to see the house next to the bandit's hideout. It was a decent house, but how could they build it so fast? He then went to his own room on the bandit's side, and paid the group no mind.
A few weeks had passed, Luffy was still chasing Ace around whenever he saw the older boy. But this time while chasing, Luffy was stopped by the sudden appearance of a tiger, which was one of the Kings of this Mount. Ace found this interesting, so he stopped at the nearby tree to see how the kid could find his way out. Luffy stood there awhile. He had figured that the giant tiger wouldn't notice him. Later a giant bear, the other king of this mount, came rushing at the tiger. They began to fight each other and still didn't notice Luffy. If he had time, Luffy would watch the fight, but now he needed to be friends with someone fast, so they could train together. Luffy spoke up
"Oi, you two. Could you please step a side? I need to chase my brother!"
<Huh, A little human tried to order us. Do you think we will listen to a pathetic human like you?> the bear said
"Hey, I can hear that."
This took the two animals and Ace surprised. Did the kid actually talk to them? Ace just thought Luffy was a weird kid, but the two animals knew Luffy had the Voice of all things, so the kid was their King. But the tiger wanted to confirm, so he turned to Luffy and asked
<Young boy, are you the owner of the Voice of all things?>
"Yeah, I have it, so...."
<Anyone who has that ability is destined to be our king, which means you are now our new king>
"Hey, I don't want to be your king! I want to be a King of Pirates, I can't also be your king at the same time."
This got Ace angry, but the animal duo were happy. They were pleased with his answer, they had always ruled the different sides of the mountain and fought for the position to rule the whole mountain, but now they had found the suitable king, they didn't need to fight anymore. Luffy didn't want to be a king or conquer anything, so he told them to be his friends and the two agreed. Luffy then looked at Ace's place to see he was still there. Luffy then turned to his new friends and spoke up
"Hey, I need to go now. Toga! Can you give me a ride?"
<T-Toga?> said the confused tiger
"Yeah! That's what I'll call you and you'll be Kumako"
<That's quite creative>
After that, Toga lowered his body for Luffy to climb up. Ace knew this was his cue to run. This kid wasn't normal, no one could talk to animals or be friends with the kings of the mountain that easily. Luffy then settled on Toga's back. They then began to go hunting for lunch. As first, Luffy didn't know what to eat, then he saw a deer, so he told Kumako to catch that deer. It was an easy hunt, but one reindeer wouldn't satisfy him, so they had gone on another hunt before they went home.
When Corazon saw the two animals, he was scared, but when he saw Luffy on the tiger's back. He knew that child must have been friend with them. The kids were all surprised to see Toga and Kumako when Luffy introduced them. They knew Luffy was strong, so taming the two beasts wasn't difficult for him. Luffy had discussed it with Law while the other was playing with Toga and Kumako. Luffy decided that Toga would go with Law when his crew set sail, while Kumako would protect the island with Isora. Law didn't mind it, actually he was very fond of animals and cute things, but he never showed it. The crewmates were happy that Toga would go with them once they set sail, they just had another one who could protect them. Little did they know, Law and Luffy had planned to train them, and tomorrow morning would be the beginning of their hellish training.
