Y/n's POV
Once we were through the door and headed deeper into an underground area the room around us started shaking. "Come on hurry!" Papa shouted. We all started running deeper looking for queen Towa and what was causing the shaking in the room. As we went deeper I started hearing screams and wails coming from something not fully human before hearing sstuff crumbling. "Y/n, take point and if something needs to be defeated, do it." Papa said.
"Got it." I said. The room continued shaking as we got closer to an open area where I heard someone talking and laughing. Explosions started going off as something started going on a rampage. I felt some powerful magic starting to activate as I realized what it was. "Papa she's going to use the tiara." I said. Papa looked at me before nodding and speeding up. We made it to an open room where queen Towa was starting to use the tiara before the floor crumbled apart letting everyone fall deep underground. "Let's go Y/n." Papa said. I nodded as he jumped into the hole that was formed. I followed him as we sped up to catch queen Towa. "Sorry we're late." Papa said, catching her.
Papa, mama and I floated down to the ground where the rubble had landed before mama set up a magic barrier. "You'll be safe with us." Mama said. I heard the clash of swords before looking over seeing Benimaru and Hiiro fighting. "What happened to you Hiiro? Tell me." Benimaru said. Hiiro just growled as an aura started flowing off of him. Hiiro yelled before knocking Benimaru back and through a few pillars of stone. I got up and walked outside of the barrier that mama made and stepped in front of Hiiro. "If you want to fight someone, how about me?" I asked, looking up at him. Hiiro yelled before trying to strike me with his sword. I stopped it with my sword and was holding him back. "Come on Hiiro, from what mama and Benimaru said you're supposed to be super strong." I said. I heard something behind me before seeing papa try and chase someone. Hiiro growled and lunged towards papa, but Benimaru burst out of the wall and blocked Hiiro's sword from touching papa. "Lord Rimuru, lady Y/n, I've got this." Benimaru said.
"Be careful! Shuna you protect the queen! Y/n come with me." Papa ordered. Everyone agreed before I followed after papa using my flight skill. We started racing through the mine managing to catch up to Lacua as he was trying to get away on a minecart. "There he is." Papa said, pointing him out.
"He won't escape." Ranga growled. I nodded in agreement with Ranga before flying a little faster to try and catch up to him. We rounded a corner in the mineshaft and Lacua started firing spells trowards us. "Rapheal." I said. Rapheal responded and used Beelzebuth to consume the magic and stop it from hitting me. Rnaga lunged towards the minecart and swiped at it with his claws managing to take Lacua's hat. Lacua laughed at Ranga for not hitting him before he realized his hat was missing. "My hat. Curse you pesky slime and beastman!" Lacua shouted. I puffe dout my cheek and looked at Lacua in anger. "Lord Rimuru, lady Y/n." Souei said, using thought communication.
"Souei." Papa said.
"The neighboring countries armies have begun to march. They will soon reach Raja's borders." Souei explained.
"Got it, we're kind of busy over here. So first off can youy all hear us?" Papa asked.
"Keep the loses to a minimum." I started.
"Defeat the enemies if you want, but don't kill anyone if it's not necessary." Papa continued.
"If you have no other choice, then you are to put your own safety first." I finished.
"That clear?" Papa asked.
"Sir!" Everyone agreed. We continued chasing Lacua as he continued to escape. I was starting to get close to him as he continued firing magic. "What's wrong done playing tag with us already?" Papa taunted.
"Stupid slime." Lacua said. Lacua looked forward to the tracks before firing off another spell at a switch. Once it hit the switch papa and I were in a different mineshaft before we could hear Lacua laughing. "You're both nothing but baby demon lords. I already know that your borrowing the Storm Dragon Veldora's authority. Without him you're just meddling little monsters!" Lacua said.
"Questiong for ya. What's that up there?" Papa asked, pointing out an ending part of the tracks. Lacua and his minecraft went over the end and into a pit of lava. We looked down before hearing his laughter again before lookingup and seeing him flying. He flew out of the mountain laughing. "Of course he can fly. Which means he's some kind of demon thing." Papa said.
"Yeah, I felt his power before having to dela iwth him and felt that." I said. We took off and continued our chase after him. As we exited the mountain I felt magic power going crazy and flying everywhere before looking down and seeing Hiiro releasing tons of magic. He went towards the kingdom's castle town and started destroying the area. "Hey what's wrong? Out of breath or something?" Papa asked.
"You really are meddlesome." Lacua said, firing another spell at papa and I. Papa made the spell disappear, by making it look like it hit us before coughing out some smoke. Lacua was shocked to see us unharmed before the doctor that was treating Towa flew up. "Oh hey if it isn't the supposed doctor from before when I examined the queen." Papa said.
"Allow me to handle him master." Ranga said. Papa agreed, hopping off of Ranga's back and using his own wings to fly. Ranga easily dealt with the doctor before we turned back to face Lacua. "Ok, Lacua or was it? I won't want you to be lonely without your friend so let's end this." Papa said. I got ready to fight before papa stopped me. "I need you to go help Benimaru and Shuna." Papa said. I nodded and flew down towards Benimaru and mama to help them. I flew down spotting Benimaru fighting Hiiro in the town. Hiiro was starting to fire off magic again before I landed and absorbed it all with Beelzebuth. "Lady Y/n?" Benimaru asked.
"Focus on the fight, I'll handle his magic." I ordered. Benimaru nodded before clashing blades with Hiiro again. Their destruction was getting out of hand and I started absorbing as much magic as I could. "How's Hiiro not running out of magic?" I asked myself. I felt magic pouring from above us before looking up and seeing Lacua absorbing magic before trying to explode. Hiiro tried to get a hit on Benimaru while he was distracted for a second by the explosion. Benimaru managed to get out of the way before getting hit. Benimaru abnd Hiiro managed to make it onto a bridge still fighting furiously. Benimaru was getting ready to no longer hold back as he covered his sword in black flames. "Allow me." I said, drawing my sword.
"But lady Y/n..." Benimaru started.
"Don't worry, it'll be okay." I said. I covered my sword in flames and looked at Hiiro. "Let's finish this Hiiro." I said. He charged towards me firing off magic which Rapheal absorbed with Beelzebuth while I dealt the final bloew to Hiiro. The bridge collasped under us before we landed on the ground below. Hiiro was caught under some rubble as we landed ebfore trying to get up. Hiiro went to strike Benimaru, but queen Towa got in the way making Hiiro stop his attack. Hiiro started fighting back trying to take control agian before stabbing himself through the chest. I stepped up and quickly reached inside the hole he made and found the gem that was pouring magic out. I crushed it in my hand before the aura around HIiro faded and he changed back to himself. "Brother!" Benimaru shouted. He up to us as I lowered Hiiro to the ground making sure to be gentle with him. "You know, you sure have gotten stronger young master. You're also following quite a leader." Hiiro said, looking at Benimaru then me.
"You're still stronger though. I had faith you'd be able to return to your senses on your own." Benimaru said.
"Yes it's because my life isn't just mine alone." Hiiro said. I looked down seeing Hiiro's hand crumbling away. "Unforunately, this is the price for such great power." Hiiro said, laying his head back. Mama and queen Towa came running up to us as papa came flying down. "Benimaru use the full potion!" Papa shouted.
"Notice, he's paying the price for using the curse orb. A full potion will not work." Rapheal reported. I helped Benimaru move Hiiro closer to a piece of rubble which we leaned him against as his breath was fading. "This is a good ending for me." Hiiro said.
"No brother." Benimaru said.
"Shuna, I want you to know I always thought of you as my real little sister. You've raised an excellent daughter powerful enough to save many lives." Hiiro said.
"Dear brother." Mama said.
"The others are waiting, it'll be nice seeing them again. Our comrades, and queen Towa... I'm so grateful and happy to have found a master truly worth serving. Thank you for everything." Hiiro said, before crumbling away. I looked at mama who was crying before she got up and hugged me as I felt something running down my cheeks. It was quiet for a couple seconds before queen Towa spoke up. "I refuse. I refuse to allow you to leave my side." Queen Towa said. She used the tiara to restore Hiiro and his body bringing him back to life. "Your masjesty?" Hiiro asked. The tiara shattered as the curse poison consumed her entire body. "Queen Towa. Queen Towa!" Hiiro shouted. He got up and caught her as she was struck with the curse and her body started glowing. "Don't go queen Towa!" Hiiro shouted as her body shattered in his arms. Benimaru looked at me then at papa as we both shook our heads. "It's the second time she's saved me and yet I failed her. I couldn't do anyhting for her." Hiiro said. I got out of mama's hug and ran over to Hiiro huggin him form behind. "You did so much for her. That's why she saved you again." I said. We sat there for a moment before the wind picked up and the particles that queen Towa became started flowing back towards the ground. Queen Towa's body was restored before us and she started falling to the ground. I let go of Hiiro as he rushed forwards to catch her. "Queen Towa!" Hiiro said.
"Hiiro?" Queen Towa asked. They hugged each other before the sun staretd rising. "Notice the cursed poison has completely disappeared." Rapheal said. I looked back and saw Diablo standing behind papa. "I guess this was related to the idea you had, Diablo?" Papa asked. Diablo nodded before papa asked for a full report later. After that we allowed the citizens to return to their homes and started repairing them as best as we could with the materials we had. Once night came it was another party for the kingdom of Raja. Papa and I were standing on the top balcony looking down at the citizens who were celebrating. "Lord Rimuru, lady Y/n, we just wanted to come and personally thank you for all the help you've given us. Tell us, how can we ever repay such a debt?" Mobuji said.
"As you already know we have very little to offer you in return but we will certainly try our hardest." The other minister said.
"I do have something in mind." Papa said. He turned to Souei who explained about a cave collaspe during the fight between Hiiro and Benimaru which revealed a vein of iron ore. "But my lord there's very little demand for iron ore." Mobuji started.
"Yes and other nations, already offer a supply." The other Minister said.
"In my opinion you can never have enough iron ore, I'm happy to buy it from you guys." Papa said.
"Your offer would help with the rebuilding of our kingdom." Mobuji said, turning to the other minister.
"And if we accept then their backing would make it quite difficult for the other nations to attack us." The other minister said.
"It's an amazing deal for us, but are you certain you want to go that route my lord?" Mobuji asked.
"Yeah, of course. It'll help us both. And besides, Y/n and I respect a queen willing to lay down her life for her citizens. Queen Towa seems like a good person. You all agree right?" Papa asked. Everyone agreed with papa as I nodded. "Okay! Here's to the future of Tempest and the Kingdom of Raja!" Papa said, holding up his glass. I held up and cup of juice and cheered with everyone. I looked over and Hiiro and Queen Towa as they watched the fireworks. Once we returned to Tempest everyone there was covered in injuries before papa and I looked at auntie Milim and uncle Veldora who were kneeling in front of us. "Alright start explaining." Papa demanded. Uncle Veldora and auntie Milim and explained what happened before Rigur and Rigurd mentioned they tried to stop them.
"Veldora you're not getting any more manga until you think about what you've done." Papa said. Uncle Veldora tried to argue with papa's punishment before he turned to look at auntie Milim. "Now it's your turn." Papa said.
"As in me Milim?" Auntie Milim asked. Freya showed up and grabbed auntie Milim by the head. "I think it's time we had a little chat, yes?" Freya said. Auntie Milim looked at me and begged for me to help her with her eyes as she was being dragged away by Freya. "Honestly those two are so exhausting. This is why we can't have nice things." Papa said before melting.
"Want me to carry you?" I asked.
"Sure thank you." Papa said, jumping into my arms. I turned to take papa home and saw an upset Kumara waiting for me. "Big sis! You and I were supposed to play together today!" Kumara shouted. I sighed ebfore walking over and explaining that I'd play with her once I got home and changed. She nodded and followed me to papa's house then our house to make sure I'd play with her.
