Nuru formed in my mind when I was about eight years old.
I had loved Marvel from the moment I witnessed the first Avengers film and it changed my life.
What started as a simple idea formed into something more. My closest friends know about Nuru and I'm so proud to have shared her with them. This fictional girl and her stories are so important to my formation as a person: my ideas that I project onto Nuru are a reflection of my life, no matter how unrealistic they may seem.
I only hope that now, in the form of this autobiography biography, I can share my girl's story with the world. Because Nuru is my girl. She is my creation.
