Y/n POV

Location Setting: Transfiguration Classroom

I entered the Transfiguration classroom alongside Ominis and Sebastian and asked, "Professor, you wanted to see us?" We took a peek inside by the door.

I couldn't help but wonder why, Professor Weasley had summoned all three of us. It piqued my curiosity, as it seemed like there was something important that she wanted to discuss.

Sebastian, who had not yet finished his breakfast, had even brought an apple with him.

"Indeed, it has been a while since I last saw you. I can see that you have been keeping busy," she said as she rose from her desk.

As we entered the spacious classroom, I noticed that it was filled with butterflies fluttering about. It appeared that Professor Weasley had transfigured something while waiting for us to arrive.

Upon seeing a familiar face, her expression lit up with contentment. "Mr. Gaunt, it's wonderful to see you again, although you do look quite different today," she said with a smile, noticing Ominis's hair that is still damp.

Ominis then realized that he wasn't properly groomed and began running his fingers through his hair, slicking it back into place.

Professor Weasley directed her attention towards Sebastian and commended him, "Well done, Mr. Sallow. It seems that you have successfully reunited with all of your friends again."

She held her arms high, "Welcome back to Hogwarts to all of you. It seems that you have had quite an adventure," she continued.

I expressed my curiosity to Professor Weasley, asking, "How did you know, Professor? We haven't said anything yet."

"Let's just say that Hogwarts has its secrets," she replied with a mysterious smile.

The statement left me wondering what she meant, but before I could ask further, she continued with a serious tone, "The three of you are remarkable students, but for now, I need you to tone down on your adventures. It's best if you stay in Hogwarts for a while."

We exchanged a puzzled look but quickly nodded in agreement and promised to follow her advice.

"Understood, Professor," Sebastian said respectfully.

"Of course, we'll be more cautious," I added.

"Excellent. Now that Mr. Gaunt is back, I can bid farewell to this letter," she said as she accio a letter and held the withdrawal letter over her wand and we watched as she burnt it. I gazed at it as the Gaunt family crest gradually turned into ashes.

Ominis expressed his gratitude, "Thank you, professor," placing his hand over his chest.

Professor Weasley then mentioned the vial of liquid that I had given to her earlier, before I had departed to the Gaunt Manor.

"I had Professor Sharp analyze its contents. It appears that he has discovered what it is," she said, turning her attention to Ominis and Sebastian, suggested, "Why don't you both go and speak with Professor Sharp about it? I think he's heading to the Hospital Wing."

"Is this the vial we found in the cave?" Sebastian inquired with a hopeful expression, as he gestured towards the words that Professor Weasley had just mentioned.

I nodded in confirmation, and Sebastian's face lit up with a glimmer of hope.

"Let's go, Ominis!" Sebastian gestured, and he followed closely behind. Ominis shot a quick glance at me and whispered, "Meet me later by the grand staircase, alright?"

I looked back at him, our eyes meeting briefly before he disappeared from sight. Feeling a bit wistful that our time together had come to an end. But I knew there were tasks to be done, and it was time to focus on the next one at hand.

"You seem closer to Mr. Gaunt now. Are you two — together?" Professor Weasley's smile hinted at her curiosity regarding the romantic relationships of the students at Hogwarts.

"No, Professor!" I exclaimed. "I don't believe that love is a good fit for me. I seemed to has the potential to endanger those around me," I said expressing my thoughts. Professor Weasley wore a knowing smile as she listened to my response.

"I see," she said thoughtfully. "It's wise to prioritize safety above all else. However, don't be too quick to close yourself off to love. You never know when it might find you," she added with a twinkle in her eye.

I nodded, taking her words to heart. Though love was the last thing on my mind at the moment, I couldn't deny that her words resonated with me.

"Our late Professor Fig would have agreed with my words. He too found his wife here at Hogwarts," added Professor Weasley.

I listened with interest as she spoke about Professor Fig's love story. "I didn't know that," I said, surprised. "It's nice to hear his stories and name again, professor."

"Yes, indeed," she replied with a smile. I smiled politely, not wanting to delve too much into the subject of love. "Thank you for the advice, Professor. I will keep that in mind," I replied.

Professor Weasley seemed to understand my hesitation and changed the topic, "Now, let's focus on more pressing matters, Miss Y/l/n," Professor Weasley said, her tone serious. "You are aware that you arrived at Hogwarts later than most students, yet you possess remarkable magical abilities."

I nodded, it does feels strange to be admitted to Hogwarts in the fifth year, she then continued, "The book of admittance indicates that your magical abilities only manifested when you turned fourteen, and it suggests that you are here to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the wizarding world. It's a weighty responsibility," she explained.

"I apologize, Professor. I am doing everything in my power," I admitted, feeling discouraged as the chosen one chosen for such a crucial task.

"It's alright, Miss Y/l/n. You have done exceptionally well. The issue doesn't solely rest on you. Remember, you can't do this alone. Just like the previous keepers, you need assistance," Professor Weasley suggested, giving me a clue.

"But Professor, I had to undergo trials to gain access to the final repository. I couldn't just hand over the secrets without caution," I protested, aware that the magic within could be dangerous if obtained by someone with malicious intent.

"That is why you are chosen, your wits for knowledge will always find your kind. Find the one that you can trust in keeping the final repository safe. One of your generation and one of the next generation. Could you do it?" Professor Weasley inquired.

"I'll do my best, Professor," I replied, feeling a sense of apprehension about the risks involved.

"Before you go, the presence of the Dementors is an ill omen," Professor Weasley stated, clasping her hands together. "Do you still have the Keeper's Wand with you?"

"Yes, Professor. It's safe with me," I assured her, patting the pocket of my bag.

Professor Weasley nodded and continued, "Would it be possible to use the Keeper's Wand to find a spot with a view of the entire school and cast a protection charm there? With its power, it should last a lifetime."

"Very well, I agree," I nodded, and added, "I knew just the spot."

"I'll see you again soon, Miss Y/l/n," she said with a smile. As I turned to leave, I called out to her, "Professor?"

"Yes, Miss Y/L/n?" she asked.

"Thank you so much for all your help," I said, overcome with gratitude. I embraced her, and she laughed in surprise, waving me goodbye as I exited the room.

Walking through the Transfiguration Courtyard, I was relieved to find fewer people around. Despite that, I still kept my hood up, just in case someone would snatched me away. I, then move stealthily as I made my way to the grand staircase. Waiting by the mermaid fountain for Ominis to arrive.

Location Setting: The Grand Staircase

As I stood there, I thought about whom I could trust to be the keeper with me. I needed someone who would always be there, not just for me but for everyone, someone who would convinced me to be good when I strayed to the dark side. Someone who could speak for me when I couldn't. I pondered this earnestly, hoping for an answer.

Out of nowhere, Miss Scribner appeared and greeted me with unsettling news. "Miss Y/l/n, do you know that there's a bounty on your head?" she inquired, tapping her wand on her hand in a menacing manner.

"Miss Scribner, you wouldn't do that. I'm a student here," I pleaded, well aware of the consequences of having a bounty on me.

But before Miss Scribner could make a move, Ominis suddenly appeared and intervened. "Stop this at once!" he commanded.

Miss Scribner quickly changed her tune upon realizing that she was in the presence of another Gaunt. "Oh, forgive me, my lord. Your brother was the one who put me up to this," she explained.

Ominis was not pleased with her response. "He was mistaken. No one can take her away from me when I'm around. Do you understand?" he declared.

"Y-yes, my lord," she said, causing Miss Scribner to bow and quickly make her exit.

"Y/n, are you alright?" he asked, noticing my silence. I took a moment to collect my thoughts, realizing that the bounty on my head was real.

"Don't worry, Y/n. I'll keep you safe. I'll protect you this time," he reassured me.

I turned my face facing him, it made me began to wonder, whether or not, he is suitable to assist me in keeping the ancient magic safe.

Ominis was always a dreamer and a critic, but I had never witnessed his combat abilities firsthand. The last time we expel Marvolo spell, he was—powerful and our encounter with the Inferi was vastly different from battling actual dark wizards, whose vulnerabilities were only limited to fire spells. Perhaps if we embarked on an adventure together, I could assess his dueling skills and make a fair judgment.

"You seem lost in thought, Y/n. I'm glad I came running." he sighed as he witnessed what had happened just now.

"It seems Professor Sharp are having a word with Garreth and Sebastian are waiting for the nagging to end, so I thought i'll be here with you instead," he said, taking a seat next to me at the fountain.

"You didn't tell me that your house won the Quidditch cup," he exclaimed. "I was under the impression that the party was a celebration for Gryffindor's victory."

I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder, feeling the muscles beneath my cheek.

"Sorry, I thought a change of topic will lighten your mood better." He ran his hand through my hair gently, and I couldn't help but wonder which of his notorious family members made him turn out to be this caring of a person.

"Are you feeling better now?" he asked softly, as he continued to rub my hair.

I nodded, feeling comforted by his presence. "Thank you, Ominis. It's just that the situation is getting more dangerous for me," I replied, looking up at him.

"I know," he said, facing towards the sound of my voice. I could see his concerning face.

"But I'll do everything I can to protect you. You can count on me." he reassured me.

I smiled gratefully at him, feeling a sense of relief with him by my side.

"I remember you said you wanted to learn how to fly, Ominis," I said, burying my face in his arms. His expression turned panicked as I reminded him.

"I did, why?" he asked.

"I was wondering if we should do it today," I suggested, looking up at him.

"S-Sure," he stammered, taken aback by my sudden invitation.

I held his hand firmly as we walked to a spot, but he quickly pulled away.

I stopped my movement and turned to face him, "You've been doing it all morning," my face turned solemn, "Why are you avoiding my grasp?" I asked, growing increasingly frustrated.

Ominis panicked as he heard my voice breaking, "Well I—its because of you," he replied.

"What did I do?" I demanded to know.

"You said we're just friends. I have to limit myself when I'm near you," he explained.

I looked at him with surprise and confusion. "Ominis, I don't understand. Why would you need to limit yourself? We've held each other before," I said softly, trying to reassure him.

"I know, but I can't help how I feel about you," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want to make things awkward or ruin our friendship."

"But it had not ruin our friendship, Ominis." I exclaimed wondering why he behave like this.

He started to grunt and moped in response to my question. "Merlin, Y/n, why can't you see my feelings? I don't want to be just friends. Of course, I want to hold you always, absolutely, but I have to limit myself if you don't feel the same way as I do."

After a moment of silence, I took a deep breath and spoke. "But Ominis, I—"

"It's okay, Y/n. You don't have to make a decision right now," he interrupted, smiling with a mix of pity and sadness.

"I'm scared I'll get hurt," he added with a low voice.

I grunted in frustration as he interrupted my words, I continued, "Before we headed out to fly, I want to show you something," I said, taking his hand once more and leading the way. "Don't you dare let go."

Location Setting: The Map Chamber

I led him down towards the map chamber. It was dark and eerie. The room felt hollow and our every steps echoed as we walked in.

Ominis could sense the overwhelming presence of magic in the air. He scanned around in awe with his wand at the intricately drawn map of Hogwarts and the massive portraits that adorned the walls.

Curious, he asked, "What is this place?" while holding his wand tightly.

I felt slightly nervous about revealing this to Ominis, but I trusted him more than anyone else.

"This is the map chamber," I explained. "It's where I keep all the important locations in the wizarding world."

I grabbed his hand again gesturing him to the center of the room, "If you look closely, you'll see the yellow magical blob, which marks the place where I destroyed the loyalist encampment and retrieved the ancient magic residue."

Ominis scrutinized the map. "It's enormous, like standing against the world," he exclaimed as he paced around scanning the yellow blob.

His eyebrows turned furrowed at every turned, "I can't believe you destroyed the entire loyalist camp, Y/n! You could have gotten yourself killed!" he gasped in shock.

"I had to do it; it is my duty. I'm tainted with blood, Ominis. You should already know it by now," I said, my voice laced with sadness.

"There's something else I want to show you," I continued, motioning for him to join me.

Ominis sat down in front of me, I lowered my head and asked, "Do you notice the portraits behind me?"

He scanned the portraits with his wand and nodded in acknowledgement.

"Those were the portraits of the keepers who used to assist me in retrieving the final repository" I said, my voice starting to tremble. "But after I hid the magic away, they all disappeared."

My eyes began to well up with tears. "Professor Fig, Lodgok, the only goblin who helped me, and everyone else has passed away, I've seen too many blood shattered and death in just a few months." I explained with a heavy heart.

Ominis hesitated for a moment before reaching out to rub my head in a comforting gesture. "I'm sorry, Y/n," he said softly. "I can't imagine how difficult that must have been for you."

Grateful for his support, I looked up at him, feeling my heart started to race. Keeping him safe was my top priority, despite the fact that his kind eyes and comforting touch spoke to my soul. I couldn't deny that I was in love with him. The mere thought of losing him was enough to break me.

I leaned in closer to him, my fingers instinctively brushed against his skin. But before I could do more, he restrained me with a warning, "Don't,"

We sat in silence, our faces just inches apart, I couldn't help but study his features. His cloudy blue eyes, his arched brows, and the way his hand was now gripping mine tightly.

I asked in a shaky voice, "Do you love me?" Our breaths mingled, and I felt the warmth of his hand as he clasped mine.

He turned towards me and interlocked our fingers, replying softly, "If it's allowed."

I couldn't resist the urge to ask, "Do you find me attractive?" Feeling the tension between us growing stronger.

He played along with my words and blushed, "You're so pretty that it makes my bones ache."

But then his voice turned melancholic. "Your smile takes my breath away, and every passing moment thinking you had deny me, it breaks me a little."

"Even so, you still love me?" I asked.

He responded, "My chest hurts when I can't touch you. It feels like you're unreachable when you are always so close."

His words pained me because I wanted to love him, but I couldn't risk losing him. It seemed like everyone who used to be close to me seemed to met an unfortunate fate.

"Have you tried liking me lesser?" I said trying to convinced him.
"Yes, it would be sensible to do so, and yet..." he trailed off, his trembling fingers brushing over my bangs.

"And yet?" I asked, feeling his breath on my face as he leaned in closer.

"It feels like I could bear the pain over and over again. Every second I'm with you, I could bear the pain. Every second I'm with you, it hurts less," he said, his voice growing more intense.

He pressed his forehead to mine and swallowed hard, his chest heaving. His words came out as a breathless, shaky whisper. "I'm so desperately in love with you, Y/n."

My eyes filled with emotion as I couldn't bear to see him so broken. I felt the same way and wanted to say the same exact words back to him, to touch his lips, to feel him in my arms.

"But we're so young. We're still figuring out what love is," my voice turned hoarse as his hand gripped me more firmly. "Just...break...me, Y/n," he growled.

I observed his lips moving as he spoke, and I found myself drawing nearer, causing him to groan and me to moan as our lips met.

His body pushed against my chest, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, slowly bringing him down to the cold chamber floor. I break the kiss after collapsing onto him.

"Ah, I've been holding back for so long!" he exclaimed.

"I hate you, Y/n" he said. "I hate that you made me feel this way," Ominis said, covering his face with both hands and making a harsh, low sound.

With a smile, I sat down beside him, and felt his chest rise and fall under my fingers. I rested them where his heart beat is and confessed, "I love you too, Ominis," as a tear escaped my eye. It trickled down my cheek, and dissolved into the fabric of his shirt.

He whispered, "Merlin," in response to my confession. "You said it," he continued, sitting up and running his hand through my hair before gently lowering me to the floor. His red blinking wand started to emit bright glow of light.

He leaned to kissed me softly, closing his eyes and feeling the warmth of our lips colliding in a gentle touch. "Say it again," he rasped, his voice thick with emotion.

I felt my heart flutter as he kissed me, and I breathed out, "I love you." He kissed me again, deeper this time, and I could feel his hands tracing my back. "Say it again," he murmured against my lips.

"I love you," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. He pulled away slightly, looking into my eyes, and I saw the love and tenderness in his gaze. He brushed his thumb over my cheek, wiping away a tear that had escaped.

"I love you," I said quietly. He smiled and kissed me again, climbing over me with his body, pressing against mine.

"Say my name when you say it," he demanded again as he pressed his lips to mine.

"I love you, Ominis—" I moaned as I felt his shaft begin to press against my entrance.

He breathed heavily, making a harsh, low sound. "You've awakened it," he said as he panicked. "Should we stop?"

I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself, and shifted to straddle him in a sitting position. I wrapped my arms around him, our eyelashes meeting as we gazed into each other's eyes.

"Y/n?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

He grunted as his shaft tried to enter my entrance. The only thing that was in the way was my underpants. His hand shoved his shaft away from my entrance since I had not say anything that allowing it to enter.

I chuckled as I felt his bulged between my thighs. He looked down at his shaft and turned to me, looking embarrassed as he spoke, "I don't want to rush things in our relationship when you're just starting to feel comfortable."

"Then should we wait for the little boy to calm down then?" I said smirking at him and embracing him tightly.

He chuckled awkwardly before suggesting, "Ah—Shall we head outside now?"

I released my embrace from him and asked, "Are you mine again now?"

He affirmed with a nod and a smile, "I'm all yours."

I hugged him again, and as he remained calm, he lifted me up and carried me around the room. Feeling content in his embrace, I proposed, "I plan to go to Aranshire next,"

"Aranshire? Is it necessary to go that far just for flying practice?" he questioned my decision.

"Not when we have the floo flame lady, and Professor Weasley has asked me for a favor," I reminded him of the task that was assigned to me.

Ominis laughed at my comment, "Looks like we'll be getting sooty again with the floo flame lady's ashes."
