The former Kansen Bismarck watched on
The ship Bismarck and the Prinz Eugen on one side,
And what could've only been the ship forms of HMS Hood and Prince of Wales on the other.
She remembered this scene as if it were yesterday,
She, in all of her strength, demolished Hood, probably causing her to sink, while Prince of Wales likely retreated.
The cube flashed even more, almost as if the device was trying to tell her something
She focused on spectating the fight.
Both Royal Navy ships opened fire in the far distance.
*B-BOOOM!
*BOOM!
*BOOOM!
Even though they were far away, the sounds of the main guns firing still sounded almost deafening.
Giant columns of water splashed up around Hood, surpassing the height of her superstructure.
Considering the Bismarck just fired a while ago, the shells must only now be landing in the water.
It was truly monumental that these ships could shoot at each other from so far away.
And then,
*S-SPPPPPLOOOOOOOOSSHHHHHH!
*SPPOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSHHHH!
The Royal Navy shells smashed into the water, creating absolutely massive towers of water upon impact.
The Kansen Bismarck took cover, using her arms to cover her face.
*SPLORSH-SHHHHHHH!
The water splashed on her, but she didn't feel it,
In fact, she wasn't even wet,
This caused a moment of confusion as she attempted to figure out why.
"So, this has to be a dream..." the Iron Blood Kansen said to herself.
*BOOOOM!
*BOOOOOOOM!
The Bismarck and the Prinz Eugen once again opened fire, enormous amounts of fire launching out of the barrels.
Bismarck looked over towards the Hood,
It was on fire from before,
The smoke rose into the sky,
That shell that caused that fire was an Eight inch HE shell from the Prinz Eugen, the shell slammed into the deck and detonated ammo for the Hood's AA guns.
How did she know this? She didn't even see the shell impact!
The cube glowed brightly,
All of a sudden, she figured out how she knew this information,
"Are you telling me all of this?" Bismarck halfheartedly asked the non-sapient cube.
"That is true..." the cube said, without speaking, almost seeming to glow even brighter as it did,
She strangely knew that the cube was communicating with her.... Somehow........
Telepathy?
Magic?
She dropped the cube from her hand from pure startlement, her eyes wide with shock.
The cube hit the water, and then rose to the surface, floating.
she looked down at the cube, absolutely dumbfounded.
But as she did, she couldn't help but notice the water that she was standing on was an inky black.
Now, she didn't know what the inky black water was from, she had absolutely no idea,
The cube once again started glowing even brighter than it was when it was telepathically speaking.
She touched the device again,
Instantly, she immediately knew that this inky black water she was standing on, was in fact, coming from the Bismarck. The Prince of Wales had hit the Bismarck with a 14 inch shell, which smashed open his oil tanks, causing a trickle of oil to follow it wherever it went.
His?
All of a sudden, the Kansen Bismarck immediately knew that the Warship Bismarck was actually regarded as a male ship, because captain Ernst Lindemann said that a battleship with this much power should not be considered a female.
And, regarding Captain Ernst Lindemann,
he was actually the one who ordered Bismarck to open fire, because Admiral Lütjens never gave the order to shoot because his mission orders specifically said to not engage Royal Navy ships.
————————
Bismarck stared down at the cube, bewildered.
The battle raged on in the background, the mighty warships throwing massive shells at each other.
*BOOOOOOM!
*BOOOOOOOOOOM!
"How are you able to communicate!?...." Bismarck asked the cube
And then, at that moment, she pieced it together,
Wisdom cubes have the thoughts, ideals, and beliefs of humanity inside of them. That is how Kansens were formed, by placing a Wisdom cube inside of an artificial human body, giving the wisdom cube control of it.
While the red cube was unable to speak by itself, it could share its thoughts with her...
*BOOOOOOOM!
*BOOOOOOOOOM!
The warships fired again,
The Kansen Bismarck continued to hold the cube, with the feeling that a clock was ticking down,
Ticking down like something was on a timer.
She looked behind herself.
The German warships, were firing their full broadsides at each other.
The Royal Navy, or.... The British Royal Navy ships were charging headlong into the German ships, at maximum speed.
The Hood was, trying to get within range of the main guns of the German battleship, so that the heavier side armor could withstand the hits, instead of the deck.
The imaginary clock began to tick louder, almost as if it neared zero.
The Hood then veered hard to the side, attempting to bring every single one of its 15 inch guns to bear.
Tick...
Tick....
Tick....
Tick....
The imaginary clock stopped
*BOOOOOOOOOM
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The Warship Bismarck let out a angry fifth salvo, the main guns spewing fire
The giant shell arced through the sky so gracefully,
And slid, right into the Hood.
And there was nothing, no reactions, no immediate explosions, no nothing.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And then.
*SHHHHEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR
A giant geyser of pure glowing orange fire shot out of the Hood's deck,
The pained groans of countless layers of armored steel screaming in pain as the ship burned.
*GRRUUUUUUUUNNNNNNGGGG!
The whole midsection of the ship lifted into the air....
And then.
*BAKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
A gargantuan explosion pierced the air, the shockwaves of the blast blowing water past the Iron Blood Kansen at extreme speed.
She watched in near horror as the explosion ripped a turret right off of the back of the ship, throwing it into the air like it was a mere toy being handled by a child.
Small fireballs of burning debris splashed down in the water near the Kansen, staring in shock.
She looked back down,
The giant battlecruiser that was there just earlier was now torn in half, sinking at a rapid pace.
As it sunk, one of it's main guns fired one last deafening blast, as it fell into the depths.
The Prince of Wales laid down a smokescreen, immediately running away as fast as it could from the German battleship.
The Kansen just stood there, watching the carnage,
Men screaming, getting yanked under the water as the Hood clung onto them, taking the down into the abyss with her.
She attempted to block it out, as she had seen plenty of wars before,
The wars against the sirens early on, the one the Kansen was originally built to fight,
The more modern conflicts, where the Crimson Axis fought against the Azur Lane fleets,
But never in her years of service to the Iron Blood, had she seen something so savage, so powerful, so.....
Terrifying......
The Kansen looked behind her.
The towering form of the German Battleship the she bore the name of, did not even stop for a second as it pulled away from the battlefield.
The battleship had no feelings, no remorse, no love, no honor......
It wasn't human....
The Kansen sat there, watching the giant ship fade into a shape fade into the cloud of mist,
Dumbstruck by the horror she had witnessed, she couldn't even speak.
"Only three survivors escaped." The cube told her.
The Kansen Bismarck sighed,
What a waste of perfectly good life.....
And then everything, once again, faded to black....
——————————
Kansen Bismarck awoke to a bright light,
"She's awake!" A Doctor said, in German,
Another person stepped into the room,
It was Daniel,
Bismarck saw a slight red glow coming from his pocket,
The two had a lot to talk about.
