I looked at the girls who were laughing at y/n walk away.
"Such a loser" one of them said.
"Stop it."
"oh hyunjin? don't worry we'll take care of her" said another one of them
"don't. I'm here to take care of her, I don't need your help"
The rearmost of them came forward, "Why? How come you suddenly feel sorry for her? ...Or rather, do you like her now?" she scoffed.
"Even if it was a homeless person you were doing this to, I'd do the same thing, it's called human decency, something none of you have I suppose?"
This time, neither of them said anything.
"Stop disrupting our lives and do something with yours that might make your parents regret having you a little less than they already do," I said and left.
"That was so cool! You're such a great person!" said Sung Hee, smiling.
"It was nothing"
"but still-"
"Do you wanna go out for ice cream?"
"mhm sure!"

I stood in front of the washroom mirror and was close to tears.
"Stupid bitches," I said to myself, fixing my hair.
"It's okay, it's okay, you'll be okay," I said to myself again, but this time a tear rolled down my cheek
"Ugh, did something get in my eye - why would I cry over something so stupid," now my voice broke.
"tch, what's wrong with you y/n, stop being so stupid" I wiped my tears, washed my face and walked out
as I walked back to the classroom I saw Hyunjin and Sung Hee eating ice cream, of course I wanted to walk up to them as usual but I stopped half way, I was just reminded of everything that had happened a few minutes ago, I froze
What the hell is wrong with me?

I was just busy with my thoughts when a voice behind me called my name
"Ms. Lee!"
I turned around and saw the annoying face of my stupid teacher
"Yes?" I said as he walked towards me.
"Follow me"
"uhh, okay-"
I followed him, and soon I realised we were heading to the principal's office.
"shi- what've I done now?" I thought as I tried to remember everything I've done lately.
and then we got in, I saw Seungmin standing there, luckily I didn't ruin his shirt this time, but what was he doing here anyway-
"So, Ms. Lee, you scored 3 out of 45 on one of your recent tests," the principal said.
"o-oh uh-" I started to stutter, not knowing what else to say.
"You didn't do very well on your last tests either".
I just stood there and nodded.
"I promise I'll do better next ti-"
"We called your mother to ask her about this, and she said that no matter how successful she is, she wants her daughter to get a good education."
Shit, why did they to call mom, I'm so dead.
"From today on, Kim Seungmin will tutor you for two hours every day until your final exams."
"WHAT?" we both said in sync
"I... I don't need tutoring though-"
"neither do I think I'll be able to do it" he added.
"Seungmin, her mother is willing to pay a lot to anyone who helps her, and don't you want to help your family as well? I heard that your parents are having a hard time paying off the debt.
He became very quiet.
"You're incredibly smart and scored the highest on our scholarship exam, so it won't be hard for you to use that advantage to help your family a little" the teacher added.
He just nodded.
Since mom said that, I can't deny it either.
"Alright, after school Kim seungmin is going to be tutoring you, you can leave now."
We both bowed and left.

"Well, do you want me to come over, or are you coming over to my place?"
"What?"
"for the tutoring."
"...ohh-"
"Just forget it, see me at the school library by 4, we can start there."
"Do we have to- like-"
"What?"
"You know, I can just pay you and-"
"I'll see you at the library," and he left without letting me say anything else.
Ugh, why do I keep getting into more and more trouble
then i left, i saw hyunjin again, this time he wasn't with her, so i quickly went to him
"hey babeeeee"
"go away"
"Oh come on, are you free today? If so, we can-"
"I said, go away."
"but-"
"gosh you're so annoying, no, I'm not free today or tomorrow or for the rest of my life."
"Why don't we just hang out and it'll be my trea-"
"no."
I sighed and he walked away.

during lunch
I got myself something to eat, some cookies for Hyunjin, and of course an Americano
then I looked for Hyunjin so I could give him the cookies, finally I saw him with the wench again
when I walked up to them none of them noticed me, they were busy talking about something, for some reason I decided to sneak in and eavesdrop on their conversation, yeah that's not right but well
"I'd love to go with you but. my mom has her treatment by next week and we still don't have enough money and I need to work for it" she said
"How much is it?"
"What?"
"The cost of the treatment"
"that's a lot of money hyunjin"
"how much is it??"
"don't bother-"
"that's not the answer to my question"
"That's about $2700..."
"I'll pay"
"What, no you can't-"
"Yes I can, and I will" and he smiled, aish, why doesn't he give me those sweet smiles
she sighed and said "thank you hyunjin. I don't know how to repay you but... i hope one day i will."
"yaaahh, did I say you need to pay it back?"
"...Well no, but still-"
"Shhh" he smiled again, and so did she
ugh now i was a bit jealous, but for some reason i felt sorry for her too, after all it's Hyunjin who likes her, she never came to him anyway
...but well, I hate her nonetheless.
