I present to you, a Humanoid species I made up when I zoned out this morning.
You are a Soularian, from Soularia, (I think I got that idea from TNG.. but who knows lmao) meaning that your people bond to their loved ones-or their soulmate-with their soul, so you would be able to see what they are thinking, and you can feel what they feel, emotion-wise. And you bond with a ritual. (I definitely got this idea from TNG)

Kirk's pov
"Captain we are nearing the uncharted sector." Sulu said.
"Full stop, Mr. Sulu. Mr. Chekov, scan the area for any planets."
"Yes, Kyeptain, one step ahead of you." He said, pushing buttons.
I slightly raised my eyebrow at that.
"Scan complete, there is a system in this sector that has five planets, two of them Class M, one sun,-"
"Thank you, Mr. Chekov." I said, quieting him.
"Mr. Sulu, are there any inhabitants on the Class M planets?" I asked.
"Yes, sir." He answered.
"And Captain, it seems that they are...more advanced than us."
"And no weapons on the planet, Kyeptain, eet seems they are a peaceful planet."
"Hmm." I thought to myself.
"Captain, I am getting a message from the planet, they want us to come closer." I heard Uhura say.
I looked to my left, and I asked "What do you think, Bones?"
He shrugged "I'm a doctor, Jim, but it seems like a good idea."
I looked to my right, "What do you think Spock?"
"They are a peaceful planet, so it is logical to listen to them."
"I agree, take us in closer, Sulu, half impulse."
"Yes, Captain." He said and the ship started moving.
"Captain, I'm getting a transmission." Lieutenant Uhura said.
"On screen, Lieutenant Uhura."
She nodded and pressed a button and a beautiful woman came on screen.
"This is Princess Y/n, Leader of Soularia. May I ask the nature of the intrusion?" She asked very calmly. (that's you, you lead a whole motherfuckin planet, you go gurl.)
I stood up "This is Captain James Kirk, our nature is exploration."
She raised her eyebrow "But you have weapons."
"They are for in case we might have entered an unfriendly sector." I smiled.
She smiled "I believe you, you may proceed, since you are exploring, I suggest you come to learn about the Soularian culture, and if your crew needs, you may let them on shore leave, it's a beautiful planet, Captain."
I smiled back, slightly nodding at her "Thank you."
She smiled and nodded softly and then the screen turned off.
"I want to go on this planet." Bones said.
"Scan the planet Spock, I want to make sure it's not too good to be true." I said.
"Statistically, the planet is just like Earth, but more advanced, it seems to be a perfect planet, Captain." He said.
"Hmm." I said, thinking if we should go down.
"Bones, Spock, Mr. Chekov, we're going down to the planet." I said and they got up, going to the turbolift.
"Mr. Sulu, you're in charge until we come back." I said as I walked into the turbolift.
"Transporter room." I said after the doors closed, and after a few moments the doors opened and we all walked out, going to the Transporter room.
After we got there, we all grabbed a communicator, Bones grabbed his medkit, and Spock and Chekov grabbed a tricorder.
"Alright, Spock and Chekov, you're going to ask about their technology, and Bones you're going to ask about their medicinal studies."
"What are you going to do, Jim?" Bones asked.
"I'm going to ask about their culture."
After we all walked onto the transporter pad, we were transported to the planet, where we were greeted by Princess Y/n.
"Hello." She smiled.
I smiled back and said, "Would you mind if I asked you some questions about your culture?"
Her smile grew wider, "No, I would not, follow me."
*After some time*
"How long has your family ruled?"
She smiled "Since the beginning."
"Beginning of what?" I smiled.
"Well, since after the wars."
"War? On this beautiful planet?"
She giggled softly.
"Yes. People killed to prove a point."
"What point?" I asked curiously.
"Good question, and I'm sorry to disappoint you but, no one knows the answer to that question." She said, putting her hands in her lap.
"Not even you?" I asked.
She shook her head, "I'm afraid not."
"You mentioned something about being able to soul bond?" I asked, now thinking of a good question.
She nodded "Yes, I did."
"Could you do that with a different species?"
She smiled and said, "Like you?"
I nodded.
"I don't know, but I would assume so."
"Did you ever have a dream that you wanted to follow but couldn't?"
She giggled "You keep changing the subject."
I smirked softly.
She sighed softly, smiling "Yes, I dream about exploring space, I want to be out there, with the stars." She raised her hand, gesturing to the sky.
I smiled "Why don't you?"
She sighed, putting her hand in her lap "Because I have to lead a whole planet."
"I feel like that's a lot of stress on one person who has to do it by themself."
She nodded "I've been trying to get my council members to lead different parts of the planet, each member leads one different part."
"That sounds like a great idea." I smiled.
She smiled "Thank you, although the people don't seem to think so."
I smiled.
"Why do you think that people may not be on your side with that idea?"
'I don't think, I know, Captain."
"How do you know?"
"Because people tell me."
"That's not a good idea." She mocked and rolled her eyes.
I smiled and I said, "I can't believe it, a princess who mocks her people and rolls their eyes."
She smiled.
"Sorry, I got my mother's attitude."
"I mean it in the nicest way possible."
"What would you do if I said I don't believe you?" I asked.
She smiled softly.
"I thought you were here to ask me about the peoples' culture?"
I chuckled.
We locked eyes, and I looked at hers.
Such beautiful eyes... I could get lost in them.
Our faces got closer for a kiss.
Before we could kiss my communicator beeped.
"Kyeptan, this planet is beautiful, it reminds me of Russia."
Another voice came on the communicator.
"Jim! They are way more advanced than us! They have made it so they can not get sick!"
Y/n giggled.
I opened my communicator.
"Thank you, gentlemen, please collect your data and share it when we're back aboard the Enterprise."
"Yes, Kyeptan."
Y/n giggled again as I looked into her eyes.
A woman walked into the room.
"Princess y/n?"
Y/n looked at her.
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to interrupt." She said shyly.
"No no, come in Marie, what is it?"
"The counsel likes your inquiry as to who will rule some of the planet in some areas."
Y/n smiled wide.
"Really?" Y/n asked as she stood up.
Marie nodded.
"But they want you to remain as an idol for the people to look up to."
Y/n chewed on her bottom lip.
"Hmm."
"You will be able to come and go from the planet as you wish."
Y/n smiled "I would like that."
*A year later*
I found y/n in her quarters, looking out the window.
I smiled, sitting down next to her.
"Is this a dream?" She asked softly.
I smiled.
"If it is, then we've been dreaming for 8 months."
She smiles and kisses me.
"I love you, James."
I smile "I love you too y/n."
