SHE COULDN'T EXACTLY REMEMBER HOW SHE GOT THERE, BUT SHE KNEW WHY SHE WAS THERE. Standing against the cold stone wall she watched as her clothes turned into a luxurious purple uniform accented by gold. Looking around she saw others in uniforms almost like hers.

Stepping away from the wall she walked towards a large window that showed space. "Amazing." She whispered. "It's okay." A male voice said behind her. She turned around to see a dark-haired man with piercing blue eyes. "You don't think it's beautiful?" The man shrugged. "It's okay." She scoffed.

"That's all you have to say..?" "Druig." He responded. "Irene." She replied. "Well, Irene. Yes, that is all I have to say." Irene chuckled and walked away from the window to go explore the ship. "That's it?" He asked following her. "Well, I assumed we were done talking since 'okay' was all you had to say."

Druig caught up with the woman and walked beside her. "Well let me explore with you at least." She stopped and turned to him. "If you keep trying to read my mind then, no you cannot explore with me." Druig gasped and put his hand on his chest. "I would never!" Irene rolled her eyes, but a smile was still present on her face. "Yeah, okay. I can feel you in there." She then turned away and kept walking.

"So, how long do you think this mission will last?" Druig asked her. "I'm not sure, hopefully not long. I'd really like to go back home soon." Irene walked into a room that had more windows than the other one. Looking out she could see the planet Earth. The planet they were assigned to. "Well," Druig came up to stand beside her. "Maybe we can get to know each other on this mission." Irene chuckled. "Well, I'd hope so."

Druig smiled, she was a little oblivious, but that was okay. "You don't think it will be hard do you?" She asked him. He shrugged. "Who knows."

Their mission was not hard, in fact, it was almost too simple. At least that is what Irene thought. They had almost killed all of the deviants on this planet, but Irene couldn't help but want to do more. "I feel like there's more that we need to do." Ajak looked at the young woman. "What do you mean, Irene?"

Irene was sitting in a field surrounded by flowers that she had just made. "This planet, these people. I know we are supposed to protect them, but..." Her voice trailed off as she looked off in the distance. "Now, Irene. We must not stray from our mission. For we are almost done." Ajak softly grabbed Irene's shoulder. "You are very special, Irene. You and Sersi both." Irene looked up at Ajak.

"I promise I will not stray from this mission and I will finish, but I cannot promise to not embrace this planet and its people. I will be sad when we must leave, Ajak." Ajak gave her a small smile, "Let's go back." She held out her hand for the other woman. "Okay."

It had been a long day for Irene. Trying to track down Wanda had become harder than she ever thought. "You think we'll ever find her?" Irene questioned. The cat next to her meowed in response. "I know, it feels like no one else cares about her or where she is." The woman got up and picked up the cat, peaches. "But I know we'll find her. We have to."

She trudged to the kitchen of the compound and saw Bruce. "Hey," she started. "Hey, Irene. How was searching today?" Irene shrugged and set Peaches down. "Like usual, I feel like I find a strong enough lead to actually go search, but turns out it's nothing." Bruce sighs. "Maybe she just doesn't want to be found."

Irene frowned. "After everything with Vision, maybe she just needs time to herself." "I guess so." She whispered back. "Look, she'll turn up eventually. I'm gonna head up to the lab, feel free to join." Irene nodded and watched as Bruce left.

To be honest, Irene had felt completely alone since Wanda disappeared. Both women had secrets that only they knew. They were best friends. Not having her there was very hard for Irene, not as hard as when the blip happened though. She thought Wanda was gone forever, but now Wanda just doesn't want to be found.

Irene sighed and made her way to the fridge.

Opening the fridge Irene noticed there wasn't much in there. "God, there is never anything in this fridge!" Closing the door she looked at the time. 8:48. The store didn't close until 10 on weekdays.

Walking away and to the elevator, she went to the only person she knew was at the compound at this hour. "Wanda." She knocked on the door. "Wan-" As her hand was just about to hit the door the redhead opened it. "Yes." Wanda was still new to the Avengers. Technically she was still in training as well. "There is nothing in the kitchen, and the store's open for another hour. Would you like to accompany me to the store?"

Wanda looked at Irene and seemed hesitant to go. "It'll be okay, I promise." Irene smiled warmly at Wanda. "Okay. Let me get my coat."

"You read minds right?" Irene asked as she drove to the store. "Yes." "I knew a mind reader once." Irene smiled thinking about him. "What happened to him?" Wanda asked hesitantly. "Oh! Nothing," Irene laughed a little. "No, no as far as I know he's still alive." "But you," The redheaded woman started. "You seem almost sad to talk about him."

Irene shrugged and took a quick glance at Wanda. "I haven't seen him in years, and, uh... The last time I saw him it didn't end very well." Irene remembered that night, the night she left him. "'It wasn't your fault.' That's what my mom said." Irene shook her head. "Anyway, how are you adjusting?" Wanda didn't press on the subject matter any further. "Okay, I guess. I just really miss my brother." Irene gave Wanda a sad smile.

"You know your brother will always be with you. If you just sit and listen, you can feel him, he's there. He will always be there." Irene pulled into a parking space and parked the car. Both her and Wanda sat in silence. "You sound much older than you look, Irene." The redheaded smirked. "But you are immortal so." Irene smiled. "I could feel you reading my mind earlier. So I showed you what I wanted to show you."

Wanda smiled. "Thank you, for telling me that, and dragging me along tonight." Irene nodded with a smile, "Of course anytime."

Anytime became every time, Irene thought. She and Wanda became almost inseparable that night. Picking up the bowl of cereal she made she moved to the living room. "Come on, Peach." The cat followed her and sat next to her on the couch. "Let's see, what do you want to watch?" Peaches purred as Irene went through her streaming services and settled on Avatar the Last Airbender.

"I know, Peaches, but it's my comfort show! I can't help but rewatch it." And she did, she was only half of an episode in when FRIDAY alerted her, "Miss Irene, there are three people at the front gate asking for you." She furrowed her brows. "Wait, really?" "Yes, should I let them in?" "Uh, who did they say they were?"

"Sersi, Sprite, and Ikaris." Irene's eyes widened. This was the first time anyone had visited her here, or at all. "Uh, yes! Yes, let them in please." FRIDAY did as instructed and Irene paused the show and quickly ran to the front door and opened it.

"Irene." Sersi smiled at the brown-haired woman. "You, you guys are actually here. It's, it's been so long!" Irene pulled Sersi and Sprite into a hug. "I missed you, Irene." Sprite whispered. "I missed you too, I've missed all of you." She let go of them and hugged Ikaris. "How have you been?" He asked her.

"Obviously she's been pretty good." Sprite says waving her hands around to gesture where they were. Irene giggled, "I've been better for sure, but now I'm even better!" She gave them a big smile. She was truly happy to see some of her family again.

"Please, come in." Ikaris walked in first and looked around for a few seconds. "Any of your friends here?" Irene shook her head. "No, except for Bruce, but he's way downstairs." "I see you're still rebuilding from the fight with Thanos," Sersi stated looking at the concrete walls and floors. "Yes, yes we are, but it's getting there."

Irene led the three to the living room, "This is Peaches, my cat." Sprite immediately went over to pet her. "She loves people." Irene pointed out and sat across from them. "So what's with the sudden but very nice surprise visit?"

The other three Eternals looked to one another Sersi sat up a little bit straighter as Ikaris started talking. "Ajak, she's dead."

"W-what?"

AN: ALSO imagine that dr strange and Wanda and whoever else help fix the compound a bit;)
I also wanted to add like flashbacks of memories she had with the other avengers but don't worry I'm also going to skip back to the different eras they've lived in!
