4 months later ... 2 days before club grand opening
Reya had a healthy baby boy Kingston Juan Ferguson and this would be Reya's outing since giving birth a month ago. We were now at the mall getting some last minute stuff.
"Ohhh girl those shoes are cute" Lonnie said to me handing Haven another fruit snack as I held up some clear heels
"I just know me and heels have a love hate relationship"Reya said while holding up a shoe while the other was gripping the stroller
"Who you telling, Dev be wanting me to wear heels when I do my pole dance and them shits be killing me"
"Oh you know I know" I said then going to get the sales lady
Reya smiled "I can't wait to have fun but I am going to miss my boo boo" she said watching him sleep peacefully
"Oh that is normal I felt so guilty leaving Meer with my mom for date night"
1 day before club grand opening
"DJ come clean up this mess" I yelled upstairs
"Why can't I clean it later" he said and I gave him a look and before I could respond
"She asked you to clean now" Dave voice came out of nowhere and startled DJ as he hurriedly started picking up his action figures
"Turned 5 and now want to talk back" I said shaking my head
"Sorry mommy Kori"
"Go upstairs and get ready for bed"

"Dave you ain't have to scare the poor baby like that" I said slightly laughing
"Naw he need to not be talking back especially since you take so much time to be with him"
"I know babe. Are you going to make it to his school for the play"
I didn't hear anything "Don't tell me you forgot"
"Shit I did damn of course it's the day of the opening"
"Dave you have to come you missed the last one"
"I know and I won't hear the end of it between you and my ma"
"You damn right because otherwise you won't be getting nothing and I just got a fresh wax" I said before out the kitchen
"Damn you taking it too far now"
"You did so good baby" Dave mom, Diane told DJ
"Thank you grammy"
"Yea son you get that talent from me"
"Thanks dad"
"Mommy Kori why you crying"
"I'm just so proud of you" he gave me a hug
"I did what you said when we practiced"
"And you did a fantastic job grandson" Dave's dad told him
DJ went with Dave's parents since that is who is staying with for the night. I was going to get dropped off at the hair salon while Dave went to the barber shop.
"You riding with Lonnie to her house and getting ready over there" he asked
"Yea since you will be there early"
"Heard ju see you later" we kissed and I got out the car
When I got in the salon I saw my girl Yesenia aka Senia who has been doing my hair for a while now. Lonnie was already getting her hair done by Alair.
"Hey girl are you coming tonight" I asked Senia
"You know I'll be there Black said they got to be there"
Black was Yesenia's boyfriend who is also one of the guy right hand men.
"Yay I'm so happy"
After my hair was done Lonnie and I drove to her house. I was in the guest room does my makeup when Lonnie walked in.
"This dress or the red one" Lonnie asked holding up 2 dresses

The limo came and picked up first then was going to pick up Yani and Reya. Yes, the guys got us a limo because they wanted us to show up in style and so we wouldn't have to drive.
We walked in everything looked so nice and there were so many people.
"OMG Yani you did a great job putting this together"
"Thanks girl and please remind me not to ever work with my husband again"
We shared a laughed and we were escorted over to one of the VIP sections that had balloons and chilled champagne bottles. As the night went on we danced and drinked.
The DJ stopped the music and Devin was heard on the mic.
"Wassup everybody I'm Devin one of the owners of Toxic and we want to thank everyone for coming out tonight. This has been a idea for the longest and I appreciate my boys for stepping into this with me and my beautiful wife for putting up with me not being home a lot for the last few months I love you baby girl" he looked up at VIP and blew her a kiss
As the guys made it upstairs we ran to hug them and congratulate them since we hadn't seen them the whole night.
"Oh my gosh it looks so good in here"
"Yea, it do niggas was in here stressed"
"Awww I know babe but everything turned out great"
"Naw what great is this dress I mean shit" he said as he spun me around
"You like it because I was not feeling it at first"

We did a champagne toast and just was chillin enjoying ourselves. Around 1:30 Dave looked at his phone and had the guys follow behind him.
"Ugh damn I almost had J ready to leave so I can get some dick" Lonnie said clearly upset
"I know right Devin ass looking good as shit in his Gucci I haven't had none in 2 whole weeks"
I looked downstairs and saw a bunch of the trap workers making their way outside.
"Something must be going on at the warehouse they rushing out"
"Shit now I know I ain't getting none"
When I got home I went to bed and later heard Dave come in our room and take a shower before leaving back out. I was livid and he had me fucked up. I called him at 10 and he declined my call. I rode around to the warehouse and the club with no luck. To the tattoo shop I go.
"He got the wrong one"

"You declined her call" Rob asked while I was finishing up a tattoo
"Yea I can't talk right now"
"Didn't you just say you haven't seen her since you rushed out the opening last night"
"Yea"
"You a good one my guy"
Rob clears his throat and see an irritated Kori standing at the doorway.
"Aiight you good make sure you get the ointment when you get to the front"
My customer dapped me up and I took a deep breath before walking toward my office with Kori right on my heels I closed the door behind her and sat on the edge of desk. We had a staring match for a quick second.
"You have nothing to say"
"My bad aiight some shit went down last night and I just came straight here for appointments I had"
"Oh so in between you couldn't call or shoot a text telling me you good or oh I won't be home"
"You right I apologize and I see you called my momma and sisters they both have cussed me out"
"Good because they needed to know how you was fuckin up"
We were interrupted by a knock on the door. Kori said nothing but left out.
A couple days went by and she still hadn't spoken to me and was staying in the guest room. Now was at the club in the meeting room with the fellas.
"Damn she still ain't say shit to you" J asked as he passed me the blunt
"Hell naw don't even look at me. If it ain't about DJ she just go to work come home and cook for herself"
"Damn and ain't feeding you either yea dog she is pissed"
"What I don't get is how ya'll get back in good graces so quick and ya'll did the same thing" I said passing to Devin
"Well Reya tried the silent treatment but I dead that real quick she know I don't play that shit"
"Lonnie ass last an hour only because Haven would be home soon and she wanted some dick"
"I got cussed out at first and when she calmed down we talked about it" Devin said
"Dawg you got to dead that shit tonight I'm surprised you let it go this long"
"We been dealing with this shit at the warehouse I ain't been having the energy"
"Speaking of Dev found out who leaked about the drop off while not a lot of us were going to be there"
"Who" I asked with a raised eyebrow
"Peedy and went and picked up this morning he been down in the basement"
"Aiight bet it's ashame but I can finally tell him how his baby moms sucked me off before she got pregnant a few years back"
"You a cold dude East" Juan said while we laughed
When I got to the house Kori was in the basement aka my man cave cleaning.
"Where DJ at"
"Hi I am fine and he is at your sisters of course you forgot"
I ran my hand down my face and sighed
"Hi Kori how was your day at work"
"Fine" she said and sucked her teeth and was about to walk up the stairs but I grabbed her arm
"Ouch Dave"
"I'm sorry I know I fucked up by not letting you know what was going on"
She pouted "Stop that pouting shit yo"
"Ugh Dave you had me worried especially when DJ called looking for you and I had no idea where you were"
"I need to call little man and take him to the park or some shit"
"Yes, he would love that"
