(Ok so I know the last chapter seemed rushed and everything but I'm just trying to get more into the plot I have planned so um yeah here we get into more plot >:)) here we go!)
Money was tight since eda and lilith couldn't rack in barley enough money to set food down on the table. So we've been taking up bountys to get money on the table. On the sides me and luz have been working on curing my sickness with magic. It's been progressively getting better but some times it goes backwards. That morning me and luz went downstairs to see what eda and lilith were up to.
"Do you think their having a sisterly fight"
"Tch maybe"
"We...we would never fight like that will we?"
Luz pulled me close with a smile as the both of us walked into the kitchen. The both if us saw eda and lilith talking. They turned to the both of you.
"HEY LUZ Y/N WE'RE ABOUT TO RUN THESE BOUNTYS INTO TOWN WANNA JOIN!?"
Eda got jittery to say the least when we went to go deliver bountys. But, it would always fall short we wouldn't always get enough snails. She went to the bounty place to get snails we didnt get many snails not even a whole snail.
"Oh, sister you might've been most wanted but I'm still highly respected!"
Lilith puffed up her chest and gave a loud and proud stance. Till someone set fire to her poster to replace it with a golden gaurd looking person. He wore a white robe his hood always up. Wore a golden mask that looked like an owl. It was strange to say the least for a design. Lilith looked at the poster replaced of the golden gaurd.
"How dare they I'm high and they replace me with this THIS BRAT JUST BECAUSE HE IS CLOSE WITH EMPORER BELOS!"
"Yo luzzy luz~ wanna go look at the bountys to see if we can find any cool ones?"
"YES!"
We made your way over to the bounty board. Lilith raged for a few more moment before joining you and luz same with eda. A sea bounty for a sea creature had caught your attention. You tapped Luz's shoulder quietly gesturing to the sea one.
"EDA! CAN WE DO THIS ONE PLEASEE!"
"Sorry luz Y/N we need to lay low for now the emperor belos has been sending more gaurd out so we need to be careful ok?"
Eda put her hands on each of our shoulders.
"Oh hey sister look at this bounty the cute and cuddely"
You and luz started to giggle
Like girls in a school bathroom gossiping over something.
"HEY ITS ACTUALLY PRETTY DANGEROUS! OH HEY THERE IT IS!"
You and luz ran after it and up a statute king not to far behind. You three sat upon the statue. Luz heard bits and pieces of their conversation. She seemed to be hurt you weren't paying attention until you saw the upset expression.
"Hey what's wrong luz?"
"Y/N we are taking that job no matter what even if we have to sneak out"
She looked over at you with teary eyes yet stern. I nodded knowing that once she had her mind set to something she wasn't going to take no for an answer she always had tunnel vision with these sorts of things.
"You know I can't stop you so I might as well join you"
"KiNg WaNnA cRaCkEr!"
You and luz laughed at how goofy and strange he would act to counter part. How upset he gets when thinking about his family mostly his dad. Since he was the only thing he really knew of or had a part that he might be alive. His mom on the other hand he knew nothing about and assumed that she had died giving birth to her the egg which had king inside the egg. Eda called the three of you down to get going you and luz climbed down while king crawled on your back on the way down from the statue. We all went back over to the cart where we had all are bountys in. Eda barley had any snails for food or anything of that sort you felt bad for being their. For being here in this place field takings eda money to make her enrole us in school. And, just all the amazing things she already does for us. We all got setealed into our seats lilith and eda in the front. Me and luz in the back if the cart kings just sat on the back with you or was a in edas hair. Right now he was in edas hair.
*TIME SKIP TO THW OWL HOUSE*
you and luz decided to head up to your shared rooms. You both decided to get some shut eye before we would leave early in the morning. I grabbed my phone to set a timer for the morning to get going in the morning. We both got some shut eye, after a few hours of sleep the time went off. I groggily got up to shake luz awake. grabbing her shoulders and shook her hard to try and wake her up.
"Come on luz get up!"
wisper yelling at her, still no response. shaking harder this went on for about 2 more minutes, till she finally got up.
"Jeez Luz, why must you be such a heavy sleeper"
groaning Quitley as possible, I then proceeded to get up stretch.
"K ready to go?"
"Heck yeah!"
You chuckled at how pumped she gets when it came to things like this. I walked out she was wearing a pirate outfit. I couldnt help but bursting out of a fit of laughter from her get up.
"Are you going looking like that?"
I kept laughing I fell to my knees wheezing. Hitting the ground trying to quite doen
"You done?"
She crossed her arms with a scowl rasing her eyebrow
getting up brushing my knees off. Nodding wiping a tear from my eye still slight chuckling.
"He he he, yeah im all good"
both of us snuck down the stairs checking around to make sure no one was there. I wrote a note the night before. setting it on the table I tried to get out of the house before king or anyone woke up. I heard creaking from down the stairs whipping my head to look over my shoulder. King walked out groggy rubbing the tiredness from his eyes.
"Luz Y/N? What are you doing?"
Pursing my lips same with luz.
"Uuuuhhhh? Hunting?"
"Yep yep hunting!"
"Yeeaaah no your going to the bounty for the sea monster arnet you?"
"Hehe"
Luz rubbed the back of her neck. King sighed and walked to the door.
"If your going then you should get going but I'm coming with"
King thrusted his thumb tworeds his chest. You both agreed silently that we needed to get going.
"I say we book it and leave owlbert here so eda dosen't think anything's wrong for now"
You suggested to luz and king. They both nodded in agreement. We came barreling down the paths to try and reach the docks. Once there you all tried to catch your breath. You walked over to luz talking to king worridly.
"Yo! What's up what you talking bout?"
You rested your head on her shoulder. Looking at her with curiousity. Her shoulders slumped slowly. She inhaled then exhaled slowly.
"I heard eda and lilith talking about how she can't even get her apple blood juice cause she has to worry about what we eat and I sure feel so guilty"
"Hey no it's ok we're gonna get so many snails from the bounty if intact we do it right!"
"Yeah, I guess your right, come one we gotta get on this here ship!"
Luz dragged me onto the boat, you both went to stand in a line with all the other people there in the ship. The captain came out to give us orders. I was supposed to be moping the deck. Which made no sense at all since you where surrounded by water. But, going along with what ever it was. Getting that done fairly fast along with many if other things you went to the captain to see what you needed to do next.
"Pardon me capin' what do you need me to do next?"
"Well lass ye Just hang round for a minute we be coming up on our destination"
"Alright"
You leaned up against the railing of the the boat looking out at the wonderful crisp sea.
"KING WANTS A CRACKER!"
"Mmhmm yeah yeah yeah go ge-"
The boat shook it turned upwards the downwards. Both king and me tumbled into a back room quaters. One lite candle barley eliminated the room. picking it up since it was in a candle holder so I won't accidentally burn yourself. Looking down a letter it was had the waxed sigil if the coven on it. holding the candle up and looked around the room it had the covers sigil all over the room.
"What the hell is this boat?"
"We need to tell luz!"
"Oh~ you won't be doing that~"
In walked the golden gaurd from the shadows.
"Bro where you just there that whole time you could've stoped us at any time that we got in here"
"Well- I-"
"Yeah yeah keep thinking of a response I'll be waiting honey"
backing up and plopping down his desk. He crossed his arms same at you. You smiled devilishly at him as he was trying to figure out what he was gonna say.
"Give me your arms"
He asked me sternly, he wasn't having it today.
"Hmmmm~ why should I?"
"Because I'm supirerer and I'm part of the emporers coven I don't do wild magic now do I? I don't live with powerless unsificent witches that barley rack in money as it is! Cause they are being haunted down as we speak!"
keeping quite no snarky remark could say anything back to him. I looked away from him with a scowl. He was just telling the truth but the truth hurts. I stuck out my arms begrudgingly. Hating the fact I had to listen to some sort of higher power. He chuckled at me my scowl still present. He clicked on a cuff to my wrist and one to his. I grunted at him not wanting to be stuck with this bozo for God only knows how long.
"Now you can't get even if you try~"
"Damn it"
You couldn't help but mumble under your breath you were going to head but him. But, he clicked himself in to the cuff first which mean of you head putted him you would be stuck with him. You sighed once more in defeat.
"Alright human on your feet"
grumbling as I get to my feet, noticing that he was the same height as me. I put my arm on on his head leaning on him.
"What are you doing? dont touch me you...you...Thing!"
I was forcefully pushed off of him. stumbling backwards a little bit making the golden gaured stumble as well.
"Yeah your doing so hot on the whole"
You stopped for a moment rolling your wrist looking up at the ceiling then back at him.
"Threating or anything in that nature are you sweetkins?"
hearing an audible growl come from him. While I chuckled at how annoyed he was getting. He walked off grabbing king who was feasting on crackers. Being pulled along with him he snatched him up fast and hastily threw him in a cage. It happened quickly I could barley process what happened.
"Hey?! Why'd you do that to king!?"
"Oh hoho is that what you call this thing? Oh he's merely unimportant for the time being"
He rattled the cage king flopping around. Attempting to move closer trying to grab at the cage. But it was out of reach he was holding it to far away for me to grab. Back out with luz she was getting accepted by the crew and captain till a thought popped into her head.
"Hey has any one seen Y/N?"
