Requested by _miedelas: Tom and Y/N live in a big apartment, and he accidentally pushes her down during a fight. She's okay but has a gash on her head, making her brother and dad think that Tom did it on purpose. Tom has to sneak into the hospital to see her because the accident makes her brother and dad want her to break up with him and not let him see her.

"For the love of god, can we please just talk about this?!" I exclaimed, following on Tom's heels as he stormed into our shared apartment.
"No, we can't, because everything that you say to try and justify what you did, the more that I get pissed off at you." he spat as he rushed straight into the kitchen.
"You were blatantly flirting with her, Tom, of course I was going to fucking step in." I snapped as he opened the fridge door. He turned around and slammed his hands down against the marble counter, making me gulp and jump back slightly as he stared at me.
"For the millionth time, I wasn't flirting with her! She was a fan who wanted a photo. I'm nice to my fans, Y/N! Even if I had been flirting with her, the correct response would have been to pull me aside and have this fight in private, not in front of my brothers and friends!" he yelled.
"I don't fucking see how I'm the bad guy here when you were flirting with someone else in front of your girlfriend!" I shouted back. He scoffed and shook his head, his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose as he squeezed his eyes shut.
"I'm not doing this again, this is just going around in circles now. I'm going to have a beer, and then I'm going to bed." he nodded as he opened the fridge again.
"Tom, no, we're talking about this tonight." I scoffed as I rushed around the island and took his arm.
"Love, get off." he spoke with a clenched jaw.
"We need to talk about this, what happened tonight wasn't okay." I spat as I tried to grab his arm more and he tried to pull it out of my grip.
"For fucks' sake, Y/N, get the fuck off of me." he spat before pushing his arm into me in one last attempt to get out of my grip. It worked and I let go of his arm, but the action made me lose my footing. I cried out, Tom's eyes widening as I fell to the ground. And hit my head on the marble counter on the way down.
"Oh my god, darling, are you okay?! Shit." he gulped as he immediately crouched down beside me.
"Fuck, that hurt." I winced as he quickly shrugged his jacket off.
"It will do, love, you've got a gash on your head. Fuck, I'm so sorry." he gulped, making me wince more as he gently raised my head and pressed his jacket to the gash on my forehead.
"It's not your fault, I stumbled, it's okay. It really hurts, though." I choked, tears starting to prick my eyes at the pain. He gulped again and looked at me.
"I think that I need to take you to the hospital, darling. It looks like a deep gash and you could have a concussion too." he sighed. I returned it and bit my lip.
"Okay, Tommy. But promise that you'll call my brother and dad, they need to know that I'll be in the hospital." I nodded.
"I'll call them, sweetheart, as soon as I've gotten you help." he returned my nod. I gulped and raised my hand to hold his jacket against the gash as he put his arms around my back and under my legs to pick me up bridal style.
"You're going to be okay, love, I promise." he choked as he carried me out of our apartment.
Tom's P.O.V
Tom stood at the hospital reception, tears pricking his eyes as he filled out the paperwork for Y/N's submission into hospital. To say that he felt absolutely fucking awful was a gross understatement. He knew that he hadn't meant to push Y/N, he definitely hadn't meant for her to stumble, but ultimately him talking to that fan and maybe being a little too friendly was what led to the fight in the first place. Even though they both knew that it had been an accident, Tom knew that he'd never forgive himself for hurting her. He'd have to live with the fact that he hurt her for the rest of his life, accidental or not.
"Where is she?!" Tom looked up, his heart jumping slightly as Y/N's brother and dad stormed towards him. He had always gotten on with them, but he was sure that that would now change after this.
"She's in room thirty, but she's fine-."
"What the fuck did you do to her, asshole?!" his dad spat, making Tom's eyes widen as the man pushed harshly on his chest.
"I swear to god that it wasn't intentional-."
"You really fucking expect us to believe that? That she just happened to stumble, fall, and crack her fucking head open?!" he spat.
"That is what happened! I know that it looks bad, but I swear to god that I'd never hurt her intentionally. It was an accident." Tom choked, his eyes wavering as a tear fell from them.
"Whatever, Tom. The fact is that we don't believe that you didn't mean to hurt her, so we don't want you visiting her whilst she's here." her brother shook his head. Tom's eyes widened.
"You can't stop me from seeing her, I'm her boyfriend-."
"Who put her in the hospital, and we're family. If I find out that you've been here, I will call the police." her dad nodded. Tom's eyes wavered and he swallowed thickly as he looked at them. He'd really fucked up. He had known that Y/N's dad and brother weren't going to take her hospitalisation well, especially as her mum had passed away a few years ago and so she was now ten times more precious to them than she'd been before. But he hadn't expected them to be so adamant in not believing him, and to ban him from seeing her. He had to figure out a way to get to her without them finding out.
"Please, guys-."
"Get out of here, Tom, go home. We have her." her brother nodded before they turned and headed towards her room. He choked and bit his lip, tears running down his face as he watched them walk away. He had to figure this out, and he had to do it quickly.
Y/N's P.O.V
I sat in the hospital bed, my head wrapped in a bandage as I absentmindedly watched the TV that was playing in the corner in the room. Suddenly, the door opened, making me look at it as my dad and brother rushed into the room. But they weren't with Tom.
"Oh, thank god that you're okay." my dad gulped as they rushed to my side and my brother took my hand.
"I'm fine. The bandage makes it look worse than it is, it's just a gash and a minor concussion. Where's Tom?" I asked. Their eyes widened and they looked at each other.
"You don't still want to see that waste of space after he did this, do you?" my dad scoffed. My eyes widened slightly, my heart starting to thump more in my chest. What the fuck had they done?
"Of course I do, it was an accident, dad. What did you say to him?" I gulped as I sat up more in the bed.
"We told him to go home, and not to bother coming back." my brother admitted. My eyes widened further, a choke leaving my lips as I looked between them.
"What?! WHY?!" I yelled.
"Honey, he pushed you down so that you hit your head, he hurt you-."
"That's not what happened, dad! We were having a VERBAL fight and he tried to end it, but end it so that we'd go to bed angry. I didn't want that, so I grabbed his arm and tried to get him to keep talking. He tried to push me off of his arm. He ACCIDENTALLY pushed me back, I stumbled and I hit my head. None of this was on purpose." I choked and shook my head.
"Y/N, I know that you want to protect him, but you don't have to. You're safe now, he's gone." my brother nodded. I continued to stare at them with wide eyes, my mind trying to comprehend what they were saying. My brother and my dad, the two closest men to be in my life alongside Tom, were hoping that I'd break up with him over an accident. Fuck that.
"He's not gone, because I'm not breaking up with him over this. Look, I appreciate how much you two try to protect me, especially since mum died. But nothing is going on here, no type of abuse is happening. I know that you think that I'm lying to cover his back, or whatever the fuck that you think, but I'm telling you exactly what really happened. It was an accident." I cried and shook my head. My dad and brother sighed as they looked at each other.
"Well, it doesn't matter anyway, because we told him to go home. He won't be visiting you whilst you're here." my dad admitted. I choked and let my mouth hang open, my gaze looking down as I tried to figure out how the fuck we'd gotten into this situation. All over a fucking stupid fight, over a fan that Tom probably hadn't been flirting with after all. I just wanted to rewind the clock and take him aside to talk to him after it had happened, but I knew that I couldn't. And that was breaking my heart.
I lay on my side in the hospital bed, my back facing the door as I lay there. My dad and brother had left a few hours ago, and Tom hadn't been back since. It broke my heart to know that they had threatened him over visiting me, but I'd been texting him non-stop to tell him that it was okay. I had yet to receive a reply, though. My eyebrows furrowed as I heard my room door open behind me. I looked over my shoulder, my eyes widening as Tom slipped into the room and shut the door behind him.
"Tom, oh my god." I choked, immediately sitting up in bed as he rushed towards me.
"Darling." he gulped as he took my face into his hands and pressed our lips together. I returned it, my eyes squeezing shut and tears rolling down my face as I just held him. I broke the kiss and looked at him.
"My dad told me about what they said to you. I'm so sorry." I choked and shook my head. He sighed and gave me a small smile as he sat next to me on the bed and took my hands into his.
"Yeah, I had to sneak in to see you because he threatened to call the police if he found out about me being here. But it's okay, I understand why they're so protective over you. But it's not you who needs to apologise. I'm so sorry, it's all my fault that you're in the hospital and that you're hurt." he shook his head, his eyes getting red as tears started to leave them. I shook my head in return and cupped his face in my hands.
"It was an accident, Tommy. I know that my dad and brother are struggling to believe that, but I don't care. I know that you didn't mean to hurt me." I reassured.
"God, love, I'd rather die than ever intentionally hurt you. You know that, right?" he cried. I bit my lip and nodded, tears pricking my eyes at how broken he was about this.
"I know, Tommy, I know, it's okay." I promised.
"I'm also sorry about the fight. I don't know, maybe I was being too friendly with her, but that doesn't matter because I'm sorry. I should have listened to why you were upset instead of just yelling you down." he sighed.
"I'm sorry too, babe. I'm sure that you were just being nice to her, because that's the type of person that you are. You're always lovely, and that's one of the many things that I love about you." I smiled and shook my head, making him chuckle slightly. It dipped and he looked at me timidly.
"Are you going to break up with me? Because I know that that's what your dad and brother were expecting you to do, and I wouldn't blame you either." he admitted quietly. I sighed and bit my lip, my heart breaking with how much he was beating himself up over what had happened.
"No, Tommy, I'm not breaking up with you. It was a complete accident, and I can see it in your face how regretful you are. I saw it the second that it happened. I love you, I'm not going to end our relationship over an accident." I reassured. He sighed in relief, making me give him a small smile as he joined our foreheads.
"I love you so much, sweetheart. And I'm so sorry. I'll never be able to tell you just how sorry I am." he choked.
"I love you too, Tommy. And it's alright. I'll be okay. We'll be okay." I nodded. He returned it and sighed, making me give him a small smile as I leant in and kissed him.
