YUXIN POV
She is really back. I am still looking at her in her car. Hers is not tinted but our van is. She was looking in my direction but I am sure she couldn't see me inside. I thought of messaging her but I decided not to. I remembered everything Kun told me last night. I admit I'm still into her but what if in the span of three months her feelings change. She never messaged me again after I answered her last message. Sure, I did have an emergency. One of the brands I am in contract with decided to terminate the contract and file a lawsuit if I am not going to fulfil my duty and return back to China asap. Good thing, that has been taken care of. I got busy preparing for my comeback and never noticed that it has been three months since then. The light turned green and she went a different route than ours. I wish one day I could meet you again, Y/N.
We arrived at the AMG Office. The management told me about the collaboration between my management and a big company. I just totally forgot about it since I was preoccupied last night. Either way it will be discussed today. My manager, my assistant and I are currently in the boardroom and we are waiting for the AMG Director and the other company's representative. I was just playing with my phone when the door opened. We all stood up to greet them.
"Ni hao." We all bowed and smiled.
"Ni hao." They greeted us too.
"Please take a seat." Our Director told us. We are all seated.
"Well, as we all know our company is planning to collaborate with Wang Group. Liu Yuxin, this is Mr Luo He, one of the Managing Directors."
"Hello Mr. He. Nice to meet you."
"Same here, Ms. Liu. I am honored to finally meet you. The company is looking forward to your stages."
"Thank you, Mr. Luo."
"By the way, I am just a representative. I have the contract and all but moving forward once final your team will be directly communicating with Ms. Y/N. She'll be the project manager of Ms. Liu's collaboration stages. She is the daughter of our CEO, by the way."
"Wow!" Our director exclaimed.
"She's very hands-on in this project. It'll be her first, that's why. Her proposal is stated in the contract. She wants Ms. Liu to check everything first before coming up with the decision. If there are any modifications or clauses that Ms. Liu or AMG won't agree to. Please let us know. We will try our best to see our options."
I kept quiet the whole discussion though I am all ears. Am I ready to see her again? Once I attach my signature. Things will be different.
"What do you think, Yuxin?" I heard my CEO call my attention. Did he ask a question?
"Ah. Can I have some time to read through the contract first?"
"Is there a problem?" My Director asked.
"Definitely! Take your time, Ms. Liu." Mr. Luo agreed.
"Xie xie. Mr. Luo." I responded.
The meeting adjourned and my team was left as the AMG Director sent Mr. Luo off.
"Yuxin, is there any problem? You're in deep thought the whole time." Jiejie asked me. I shook my head.
"Nothing, I just want to carefully read through it." I answered.
"Alright. Just let me know if there is something you need to change."
"Thanks jie!"
At the Wang HeadQuarters
Y/N POV
"Good morning, Ms. Y/N."
"Is Mr. Wang in his office?" I asked her secretary. We don't call him Dad here. But of course the people here know who we are.
"He is currently in a meeting but it'll be finished anytime soon. Would you like to wait in his office?"
"Ahh. No need. I'll just check him again later then."
"Okay, Ms. Y/N. I'll just tell Mr. Wang that you dropped by." She said and I nodded.
I went directly to my office. Honestly, I never imagined that I'll be working in this company. I want to build my own agency. For events, concerts and different functions. But three months ago, after Yuxin left I don't know, maybe it was fate. Dad, of all people, called me to offer a proposal. We may have our disagreements but he did offer this project. A collaboration stage. He knows how I love to organize things on my own. I do well in talking to people and with my friends in the entertainment industry I do have my own connections. This may be a blessing in disguise that I could work with different artists but never did I imagine that the first artist that I will work with is Liu Yuxin. It was just a month ago when her invitation was finalized. I kept myself busy for an hour when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." I called out.
"Busy?" Yibo-ge flashed me with his smile. I stood up. I walked to him and hugged him.
"I always have time for you." I told him.
"Good! When did you arrive?" He asked.
"An hour ago."
"Ah, the meeting just started then."
"Yeah!"
"Let's have some lunch first with Dad."
"With Dad? I'm surprised that he is not busy."
"Come on. It's your first lunch with us. He's being considerate, isn't he?" Gege asked me and I just rolled my eyes.
"Lai ba!"
At the restaurant. We were seated and the place was exclusive. Yibo-ge booked a room for privacy.
"Welcome Y/N!" Dad greeted me.
"Thanks Dad."
"Anyway, I heard that Liu Yuxin wanted to read through your proposal. Have you received any news?" He asked me. I almost choked with my water when I heard about her name. I was a bit taken back by her name.
"Ehem. None yet, Dad."
"Do you have a plan B, then?" He questioned me. Well, I am confident about my proposal.
"I don't have one. I am sure that she'll agree with my proposal." I answered him.
"Great! Then I am expecting this not later than this week." He told me. Well, same old dad. He's always about business.
"Yes, Dad."
Our food arrived and we ate harmoniously. Surprisingly, Dad was curious about my life in Prague so I told him about it. I just answered his questions. I don't know but I think with all his questions I am surprised that none of it relates to Yuxin. Not that I don't want to bring it up but I guess it's best for him not to know my personal relationship with Yuxin.
"By the way, are you okay with Xukun already?" Dad asked me.
"Dad," Yibo-ge interrupted.
"It's okay, Yibo-ge." I am comfortable talking about Kun. After all, we are totally okay. We are on good terms actually.
"We are fine, Dad. We had our closure."
"Good to hear that." Dad's phone rings. "Sorry I had to take this." He told us and went outside to answer the phone call. Gege told me to continue eating and don't mind Dad. After a few minutes, Dad came back but advised us that he had to go back to the office for an urgent meeting.
"Things never changed, yeah." I told gege.
"Yes. He's still like that. I wonder how Mom can take all of this."
"Love. She loves dad so much so she understands. She always understands." I told gege.
"Maybe you are right or she just got used to it." Yibo-ge replied.
"Y/N, I just want to give you a reminder about your first project. It has to be successful. Liu Yuxin, she is on top of the food chain. Many brands want to sign her up. Her business value is one of the highest among idols right now. Our company has been eyeing her since then but she is too loyal with AMG so this collaboration is very important. There shouldn't be any room for error here. Do it right or Dad will interfere."
"I understand Yibo-ge. I'll do this right."
We finished our food and we went back to the office. I check my phone from time to time. I am getting anxious. I don't want to think about Yibo-ge's reminder but it's getting on my head. I just did some paperwork to kill time. It's already 4:20 PM when I had an email alert. I want this to be their reply. Please. Just please.
