Kanae: WHY DID YOU LIGHT YOUR BROTHER ON FIRE ?!
As Kanae pulls on Nezuko's cheeks , yelling at her for engulfing Tanjiro in flames. Nero and Pyra continued fighting.
Nero: Breath of Dark-First form: Judgement !
As Nero quickly sheathes Yamato and quickly pulls it out , sending several quick slashes towards her. Pyra got into a stance and inhaled .
Pyra: Breath of Devils - second form : Counter !
Swinging her sword , the slashes vanished from her vicinity and they appeared around Nero. Nero jumped back , trying to avoid the attack. He was too slow , as his human arm was caught in the attack as several cuts appeared on the arm. He slid back towards Kanae . His arm dangled , He was using what little strength he had left in that hand to hold Yamato. Pyra swung her sword around , until she placed it over her shoulder.
Pyra: Seems like I'm a better Saber then.
Nero looked down as his hand , the cuts were slowly healing but not fast enough . He reached over with his Devil arm and picked Yamato up. He pointed it at Pyra .
Nero: Don't get cocky ... I'm still the better at being a saber !
He charged in at her at high speed . She held her blade up , blocking his attack. She was pushed back against the door. Kanae let go of Nezuko , as Nezuko began to rub her cheeks from the pain Kanae applied. She looked over and noticed that Tanjiro was slowly stirring from his sleep. Kanae looked over at the fight between Nero and Pyra.
Kanae (Thought): That girl ?
< On top of the locomotive >
Enmu along with V stood by , waiting for the demon slayers deaths. V looks towards the back , waiting for Pyra to return. He was about to take a step forward.
Enmu: She's currently fighting Yamato's wielder. Also , It seems as though one of them has awoken and is trying to wake up the others. Wanna stop him ?
V:...
V reaches for his sword and quickly pulls it out. He swings his sword towards Enmu, Enmu was about to dodge. Until another blade came into contact with his sword. V's eyes widened at who was holding the other blade. Enmu was confused at the sight before him.
???: V .... It's been awhile .
V : Mei.... I see you're still kickin'.
He pushes her back, she lands a few feet away. She smiles at him.
Mei: If you're here , then that means a devil is gonna be nearby?
V: ....
Mei : Playing the silent treatment then? Alright , If i have to guess then .
She charges in at V, he holds his sword up blocking her attack. Sparks were flying from their blades locking onto each other. Enmu held his hand up and pointed his arm at Mei.
Enmu: [ Blood Demon Art : Whis- ]
As Enmu was about to perform his [Blood Demon Art] , Mei looked over at him . He suddenly had a cold feeling going down his spine.
V : Enmu , I suggest that you finish up whatever it is you plan on doing , so finish up!
Enmu nods and begins making his way towards the back of the train. Mei diverted her attention back towards V.
V : I suggest you worry more about those in the back of the train ....
Mei had a confused look on her face. V pushed her back again and sheathed his sword.
Mei: Running away ?
V : Biwa ... open up..
A pair of doors opened up in front of him. He took a step through the door , once he entered the doors behind him closed . Mei stood there with her sword in hand still.
Mei: Who else is on this train ?
She closes her eyes and concentrates on the area around her .
Mei : This feeling . I-is Nero here ? But why ?
She opened her eyes and began making her way towards the back of the train . Once she jumped over several train cars, hiding between the train cars close to the front was Enmu.
Enmu: That woman , she's not human nor demon ...
< Back towards the train >
As the fight between Nero and Pyra continued , Kanae and Nezuko managed to wake up Tanjiro. They were making an attempt on waking Zenistu and Inosuke from their dreams .
Tanjiro : Zenistu , Wake up! Inosuke , get up !
After several attempts , Nero crossed blades with Pyra .
Nero: Dammit , time out ?!
Pyra : No..
She pushes Nero back , forcing him to crash into the door. Nero looked over at her annoyed .
Nero: Alright , it's time to get serious.
Pyra swung her sword around until it landed on her shoulder .
Pyra : Figured you were holding back ...
Nero lifted Yamato , pointing the tip of the blade at her . He inhaled and blue flames engulfed Nero's devil arm. The scales on his arm went up to his shoulder .
Kanae looked over at him.
Kanae: A partial transformation?
Pyra was surprised by his arms transformation.
Nero: Better move...
Pyra lifted her sword off her shoulder and got into a defensive stance .
Pyra : That isn't going to hurt me ...
Just as Nero was about to swing his sword towards her , A hand reached over Pyra's shoulder grabbing her . She looked over , to her surprise it was V who was standing on the other side of a doorway created by the same biwa woman.
V: Move ...
He pulls her to his side . She falls to the ground and just as Nero swung his sword . The attack entered through as the doors closed , crashing into several support beams .Destroying them in the process , Pyra was shocked by the power of his swing.
<Inside the fortress >
Pyra was shocked by the amount of power Nero exerted just now. She turned around and looked at the damage caused by him.
Pyra: So much power... in one swing he ..
V was surprised by Nero's attack.
V(Thoughts) : He just swung his sword , and it caused this much damage ?
Somewhere within that fortress , several members of the upper ranks were surprised by what had happened .
???: T-This Power ?! I-It can't be his , can it ?!
Elsewhere ...
???: There's no mistaking it , this power is that of Yamato.... Time for our Rematch NERO!
< Back on the Train >
As Nero was kneeling down holding his devilish arm in pain. Kanae rushed over to check on him. Removing his Haori and Uniform to look at the damage . Tanjiro looked over at Nero , his eyes widened at what he saw .
Tanjiro : Mr.Nero-
Nero: Tanjiro , right now ... go find the demon's head ... He has to be upfront . Let us worry about waking your friends and Kyojuro.
He covered his arm so that Tanjiro nor anyone else can see what has happened to his arm. Tanjiro nods to his orders. Kanae looked at Nero confused as to why he hid his arm.
Kanae: Why did you hide your arm ?
Nero remained silent to her question , he put his uniform and haori back on. He attempted to stand up until Kanae stopped him.
Kanae: Nero!
Nero: I'll tell you after this mission .... Right now things might get worse than they appear to be.
After him saying that , she nods grabbing him by his haori.
Kanae: You better !
Letting him go , Kanae stands up and begins making her way back towards waking Zenistu and Inosuke. Nero stared at her .
Nero ( Thoughts) : What is this feeling ? Yamato ?
Waiting for an answer from his sword , Nero looked forward and found a girl about to attack Kanae with a small needle-like object.. Within seconds , Nero placed his demonic hand in front of the attacker's weapon. The needle pierced through his hand , blood dripping out onto the floor.
Nero: Kid you got nerve for attacking her !
Nero applied more force overpowering the girl with ease . Pushing her back , she crashed into the nearby set of seats. She looked at him with hatred in her eyes , she went to tighten her grip on the weapon . When she felt nothing it was gone from her grasp , she looked around hoping to find the weapon. She looked at Nero and found the weapon still in his hand. Nero pulls the weapon out and tosses it behind him . He looked at her and to his surprise 1 other girl and 1 boy stood up each armed with the same weapons.
Nero: Damn demons ....using kids as pawns .
He sheathes Yamato and crossing his arms . The girl looked at the two guys that are lying on the floor , unconscious.
Girl: What are you two doing ?! Get up here or ami i gonna tell him !
Nero looked over at the two bodies , they remained motionless.
Yamato : They're dead ....
Nero's eyes widened from what Yamato told him.
Nero (Thought) : How ?
He then looked back over at the group of kids.
Nero: They're dead ....
After hearing the news , each of the kids gave shocked looks. Shortly after , Nero appeared behind them and hit them in the neck , knocking them out.
Nero : Keep an eye on them Kanae .... I'm going to help Tanjiro find the demon's head.
Kanae looks at him and nods.
Nero opened the door and made his way outside. Once he was outside , he jumped up to the top of the train and began making his way to the head of the train.
Running on top of the trains , he heard the sound of fighting closer to the front .
Nero: Guessing Tanjiro found the demon then.
Just as Nero was about to pull out Yamato , he felt something fly past him. He looked towards the back, only to find Mei , hurrying towards the back.
Nero: M-Mei ?!
She stopped turning around and looked at Nero.
Mei: Nero ?! What's going on?! Why are you here ?!
Nero: Uhhh ... Mission.. You?
Mei: Uhhhh.... Different mission?
Nero....
Mei....
Nero: Liar...
Mei: Sorry...
As The train continued on being attacked from the demon. Nero looked towards the front of the train , and noticed Tanjiro struggling against Enmu. Nero turned back towards Mei.
Nero: I'm gonna go help Tanjiro, Kanae is in the back trying to wake up the other slayers on the train, can you give her back up?
Mei nods to his request, thus began making their way towards their destination. Mei rushes towards the back of the train to provide backup to Kanae and Nezuko if needed.
Mei (Thoughts) : What happened to his arm ? I'll ask him at a later -
While in the middle of her thoughts , something attacked her . Forcing her off the train . As she flies through the air , she spun around and slides across the ground. She stopped and looked at her attacker, she was staring down a slayer with the words "Upper" in one eye and "One" in another.
???: You... aren't human . Who are you ?
Mei held her hand out causing her six swords to appear. The man eyed her down , checking every muscle on her body.
???: Your body isn't that human, but I can say for certain .. you're not a demon either. Your name ?
Mei smiled at the man as she grabs her blue sword.
Mei: Mei Tsuki ....yours ?
Kokushibo: Upper Moon One ... Kokushibo. " Dark " "Moon" Interesting name....Shall we begin?
Mei : Yes...
The two charges in at each other at high speed.
< Back on the train >
Nero and Tanjiro are fighting Enmu , who is giving them a hard time due to his ability to put them to sleep. Regardless they only stay asleep for a second , this made Enmu worried greatly.
Enmu(Thought) : The boy is out of his mind , committing suiside in his own dream. The other one , something is waking him up from inside .. but what ?!
As he was thinking , his eyes widened when both Nero and Tanjiro were in front of him getting ready to kill him.
Nero: Breath of Dark - 1st Form: Judgement!
Tanjiro : Breath of Water - 1st form : Water surface Slash !
As the two striked the demon at the same time , severing his head . Nero slide past the body as Tanjiro rolled next to him . Nero's back was facing towards Enmu , while tanjiro looked at him .
Tanjiro : We hit his neck ! Why hasn't it fallen off ?!
Nero: No need to yell . Just watch ..
Nero held Yamato up , with his thumb to keep the blade out partly . Tanjiro looked at the blade , when Nero moved his thumb . The blade went into the sheath completely , causing the demon's head to fall off. Tanjiro was amazed at Nero's power. Then he noticed his arm.
Tanjiro: Mr. Nero.. is your arm okay?
Nero: Stay on your guard , Tanjiro.. Right now , the fight ain't over!
After Nero yelled that out , Tanjiro looked towards the body and noticed a massive amount of flesh warping around the demon's body.
Nero(Thoughts) : I knew it ! He can't be killed that easily !
Nero charges at high speed . Enmus' head was being reattached to his body.
Enmu: Sorry , not this time !
Enmu created a massive flesh arm and swung it at Nero. Nero was shocked by how fast the attack was that he didn't have time to counter. It made contact with him , causing him to go flying off the train .
Nero: GOD DAMMIT !
Tanjiro: MR .NERO!
<TimeSkip to where the train crashes >
Tanjiro layed on the ground , next to the crashed train Slowly breathing in and out . His hand is over an injury to try and stop the bleeding. As he was thinking back to when Nero was tossed off the train , his eyes widened as he tried to get up only for a hand to stop him.
???(1): Don't move , Tanjiro your wound will only get worse.
???(2): You mastered Total Concentrated Constant , that's quite impressive .
Tanjiro looked up and noticed both Kanae and Rengoku.
Tanjiro: Mr.Rengoku and ...
Kanae: My name is Kanae Kocho, we met at the Hashira meeting . Now please try not to move .
Rengoku : Your one step closer to being a Hashira , that one step out of Ten Thousand mind you.
Tanjiro : I'll try my best.
As Kanae , reached into her bag from her and Nero's training .
Kanae: I'm glad , i brought this with-
Suddenly a big bang was heard from behind them a massive dust cloud was formed. Rengoku quickly turned around and got into a stance ready to reach for his sword. Kanae looked at the dust cloud as well. Tanjiro looked over as well to see what all the commotion was about. With in the cloud , a pair of eyes can be seen through the dust . The man was kneeling down , with a smile as he eyes down his targets.
Tanjiro: Upper Moon...Three! Why is he here?!
Akaza looked at Rengoku then Kanae , the shortly after Tanjiro . His eye twitch when he looked at him , within seconds he vanished and appeared infront of Tanjiro with an attack pointed at his head. Rengoku quickly pulled his sword out and performed his breathing.
Rengoku: Breath of Flame - Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun!
His attack sliced Akaza's arm in half , causing the demon to jump back . He held his arm up as it regenerated .
Akaza: That's a fine sword .. however not as fine as the Yamato ..
Rengoku: Why would you go after a wounded person over me ?
Akaza : I thought he get in the way of our little chitchat.
Rengoku eyed him down , keeping a firm grip on his sword ready for any attack.
Rengoku : What would you like to discuss? While this is our first time meeting , I already dislike you .
Akaza kept smiling at his conversation he's having with Rengoku.
Akaza: is that so , well I hate weak little Humans ... well other than Nero that is .
Rengoku: What does Nero have to do with this ?
Akaza held his hand out towards Rengoku .
Akaza: You see years ago , I fought him though our battle ended up being interrupted I would of liked to see who the victor would of been me or him ...
Kanae: That's why , he was drained at night ...
Akaza looked over at Kanae annoyed then returned his gaze back over to Rengoku.
Akaza:Now Rengoku , I wanna make this offer to you while we were here. Why don't you become a Demon?
Rengoku remained silent after he was asked that question , Kanae's eyes widened from shock that he was asked such a question . Tanjiro turned over to get a better look at the demon that Rengoku is about to fight, shocked as well that Rengoku was asked that question as well.
Akaza: Though you are human , you will die of old age and your skills will vanish forever . However become a demon and that skill will never vanish , you can keep honing it to perfection!
Rengoku: Both Growing Old and Passing Away, these are things that make being human Beautiful. Those may seem like weaknesses to you, but our lives make them more precious and honorable because of them.
As Rengoku talks about what being human is all about . Kanae kept her eyes on Akaza , trying to find a weakness . Something Rengoku can go after , but so far nothing she can see.
Akaza : I see ... in that case.
Akaza got into a stance performing one of his destructive style forms.
Akaza: Technique Development: Destructive Death Compass Needle!

Chapter 25 is Done! Finally after weeks of being busy . I finally got around to finishing this chapter . I'm terribly sorry , If I Skipped a good chunk of the Fights on the train . But I was looking more forward to something else in this arc that I have a plans for. Anyways as always , Everything Belongs to their Rightful Owners . See you all in Chapter 26 .
