Hawhna Phuapha glanced at Tian who was lost in deep thought. He couldn't help himself from admiring the handsome features of the teacher seated next to him. 'How in the world did he just level up his cuteness, his cheeks are so squishy like marshmallows. Chief Phu gulped at the idea of bitting on them just to make them a deeper shade of pink. 'ah I bet they'll look like cherry blossoms.'
"Tian"
Tian whipped his head towards Phupha as soon as he heard his name because he missed the sound of his name emanating from the Chief's lips. While spending time in America, Tian would often recollect the memories from Ph PhunDao that lodged deep inside his core. When he did things that would either evoke a lecture from the chief asking him to behave or simply offer him advice, he'd recall chief Phu the most. So now, his ears turned sensitive to the chief's voice.
"Umm?" Tian looked puzzled.
"What are you thinking about?" Chief's eyes were strictly glued to the road yet he was attentive towards Tian.
"Hawhna, I was talking with village chief Khama and I met the kids. I-" A sensitive smile appeared and immediately disappeared from his lips almost immediately.
"I'm happy that I could come back to the village, to the kids and" Tian focused intently on the most attractive man he's ever met, driving him back to the ranger base with a face filled with anticipation.
"I'm fortunate that I could come back to Hawhna."
This expected unexpected sudden confession sent charged shocks down Phupha's heart. He suddenly stepped on the brakes making Tian jolt forward although he was taken by surprise, he looked away from the chief and giggled to himself.
"Hawhna-" he cleared his throat and let out an inaudible laugh "Hawhna, why did you stop the vehicle? It's pretty dangerous to stop in the middle of the road, you should know that."
Chief knew that Tian was using this as an excuse to ridicule him and Tian already sensed that Chief Phu is embarrassed and does easily gets shy, sometimes, especially when Tian is being direct with him, but both knew, deep within their hearts that they were more than happy that they could be together now.
However, Chief Phu had no plans of letting this slide. He placed his hands on Tian's soft neck who was still quivering from the giggle, he quickly became stiff over Phupha's sudden touch.
"Hawhna , what are you-"
Chief crashed his lips on Tian's, this happened without notice and so fast that Tian couldn't fathom what was happening. It took a few seconds for him to register that Chief teasingly nibbled on the lower lips before he pulled away.
"What were you saying Tian ?" He asked with an innocent unadulterated tone. Chief started steering the wheel with a smirk on his face.
'Ehhh?!What was that just now, did he just?! Did he just kiss me out of nowhere?? My gut, my gut is tingling and damn his scent up close is making me dizzy!'
Tian completely forgot about the talk with Khama. Sir Khama told him that teacher's house is under minor renovations at this moment, they added a few features to help Tian settle in comfortably. Sir Khama told him that he can shift to the teacher's house next week but this means that he would have to move out of the chief's room and back to the old house. Now that he selfishly settled for the comfort of falling asleep under the chief's arm he felt disappointed yet Tian understood that it's not something he could say out loud.
All the way to the base, Tian kept stealing glances at his green giant who couldn't erase the grin off his face. On the other hand, the chief's wish to devour Tian only got stronger.
Yod and Rang were waiting for the chief and Tian to return while busily chatting and planning to go drinking. They were so excited to meet him after a long time that blasted Tian with a ton load of questions during lunch at the village.
They sprang up from their seats when they saw the oatmeal coloured jeep roll in.
"Hawhna, Tian! Welcome back krab"
Tian beamed one of his charming smiles at them while their chief returned to his neutral expression.
"Tian krab, dinner is ready, you must be hungry. We'll set it right away." Yod spoke while taking the keys from his chief.
"It's alright phi yod, I'm kinda stuffed, I had dinner with sir Khama."
"Chief what about you?" Rang tone was inquisitive as ever.
"Village chief Khama wouldn't let me off without taking a bite. By the way, he asked yod and rang to come by next weekend for lunch."
Rang's eyes lit up at the thought of free food. "We will definitely go, right yod? How can we decline such a kind offer."
Yod simply nodded his head in agreement.
"Tian, you can go and fresh up. I'll be back after talking to Yod and Rang."
"Okie Hawhna." Tian bid good night to yod and rang before retreating to chief's quarters.
"What?"
"Nothing krab." Yod and rang stiffened up their posture and followed their chief in love to the meeting room while nudging each other sheepishly because their Chief and Tian are so obvious like a newly married couple.
Tian tucked into a long black t-shirt that hanged loosely off his body paired, it complimented his skin tone, making it appear paler and brighter than it already is, Tian noticed that a lot of things around here have changed, now the base had proper bathing areas different from the old bamboo screening ones, the quarters look renovated and the kitchen and eating area had gotten bigger. Despite the changes, Chief's Phu's room felt strangely familiar.
A shade of pink and an inconspicuous smile came to his lips when his mind played a clip of Hawhna Phupha's taunting him and helping him wash his face, the first time he was at the base.
'He was definitely teasing me back then. Though he wouldn't admit it if I asked him now. That green giant' Tian shook his head in disapproval.
"Tian"
When Tian looked up in the direction of the voice he was met with a frozen chief Phupha. There he was, the chief officer, the disciplined one at mind and heart, the one who asserted a dominant aura, stood there in complete defeat looking at his boyfriend's big black Bambi eyes and rosy cheeks, the long exposed neck and those red plump lips pursed together in all their glory. The moment Tian stepped into his life, the strings holding his heart tattered one after the other yet his heart reached its rightful place where it belonged. 'It always belonged to Tian'. He accepted.
"Hawhna, what's the matter? Why are you standing there drooling? Are you still hungry?"
Tian was holding a box of chocolates and toffees in his hand, he managed to bring a couple of boxes to the kids a few for chief and the others. He was holding the box which he specially purchased for chief Phupha. But the poor Lil teacher didn't understand the density of the provoking comments he just made. It ticked chief Phu off.
"That's it!''
"Eh?!"
Chief just grabbed his nightclothes and towel and rushed out hurriedly. Tian sat down on the bed with a puzzled face. " What's he so mad about suddenly? " Tian tilted his head to the side thinking intently. He absentmindedly rolled open the wrapper and popped round-shaped chocolate into his mouth. "Alloy (tasty), umm, it's got strawberry filling inside. I wonder what kind of face Hawhna will make while eating them." He rolled on the bed reading the ingredients then he scrolled through the phone and swaying his head while humming peacefully. When the extra lightening in the room started to bug him Tian stood up to turn off one of the bright lights in the room as his eyes felt comfortable under the dim light.
Tian stood in front of the mirror, fixing his hair and applying moisture to his hands. He has so indulged in the chocolate rolled into the corner of his cheeks he didn't bother to look in the direction of the noise. He turned around when he heard the footsteps approaching him.
Phupha turned off the lights except for the lamp next to his bed, the radiating illumination was good enough for the two people to make out each other's features chief stood there dabbing his naked chiselled chest, proudly in front of tian. He only wore his navy blue track pants waist down.
"Hawhna- you-, put on a shirt or You'll catch a cold" Tian couldn't help but look away even though he wanted to study those flattering abs.
Chief walked towards Tian as he tossed his towel onto a nearby chair with his chin held high and a smug face with focused pair of eyes and a hint of naughtiness. He crooked his head to the side and he slid his hand around Tian's waist, tightening the hold around the waist, Tian knew there was no escaping from him tonight
"Na rak na." (Cute) Since tian was struggling with his hanging hands, the chief took the initiative to place them over his shoulder."Look at you, you were pouting in the morning that I left you unattended, also teased me a while ago. Now you won't even meet my eyes."
"Who teased you? You- I didn't even say anything. You stomped out when I was offering you the chocolates." Tian enclosed the distance between them by sneakily nestling closer to Chief, they appeared to be slow dancing on their toes.'What is this?! my whole body feels hot and ticklish. I feel the blood rushing to my cheeks'
"What chocolates?"
Tian pointed to a brownish-black box in front of the mirror."I thought you were angry because I was eating them by myself. I was waiting for a chance to give them to you-"
Chief Phupha dived into Tian's neck, rubbing and sniffing Tian's sweet scent with the tip of his nose. 'He thinks I was looking at the chocolates when I have something unspeakable and delicious in front of me.'
Tian gradually kept slipping his head to the side giving more access of his neck to that sly wolf clawing at him. Tian's fingers were sliding along Chief's neck feeling those firm muscles. Though the chief was the one shirtless, Tian was the one feeling sensitive. He's taken a peek at those pecks and the sculpted abs in their glory, he clearly felt the tip of those nips through the fabric. He felt jealous. 'How does this man manage to look so good, does it come with the job?' His lips quivered desperately as a sign of wanting to be taken when the chief placed one of Tian's hands on the centre of his chest. The edge of Tian's fingertips felt electric, chief felt a familiar feeling throughout his body. The room fell hushed except for the faint beating of their longing hearts
Chief took this opportunity to leave a trail of kisses along Tian's cheeks which he longed for all day. He nipped at the edge of Tian's earlobes, blowing subtle sultry puffs into his ears making Tian grip Phupha's naked shoulders tightly.
"Let me get a taste of the strawberries, Tian", a raspy voice echoed in Tian's head that gave him goosebumps to the tip of his toes.
