My heart sunk as I watched his lips part in shock, although the fearful expression in his eyes told me that he'd already guessed.

Jungkook looked up at me, as if he was asking whether he should leave for a moment. I nodded and he slowly backed out of the room, leaving us two by ourselves.

"You're... leaving?" Namjoon tried to comprehend my words, his breath hitching for a second as he tried to repeat them to me.

I said nothing, staring at the floor sombrely. He squeezed my hand tighter, looking up at me as I refused to gaze back.

He brought a finger under my chin, rotating it so that I was forced to look him in the eyes.

"I'm leaving. My flight's in a couple of hours," I painfully watched as tears glossed over his eyes, the glasses on his face making them glimmer even more.

"I can't stay with you Joon, you know I can't. Watching you hurt yourself, watching you bleed out as you tirelessly carry your members even though it kills you inside, yet you still try your best to provide and take care of them... you don't need another hassle on your shoulders," I sadly smiled, brushing a curl of soft peach hair away from his face that glossed over with a cold sweat.

"I know," was all he could utter, his eyes staring directly ahead of him, as if he was consumed in thought. I watched him, not quite knowing what else to say.

"Atleast it'll be a little quieter around here," he attempted a joke to lighten the mood , but even so I could see the pain underlying his eyes.

I reached out to hold his beaten and bruised hand that had been wrapped thoroughly in pearly white bandages.

He pulled them away from me, my heart shattering as I watched the expression on his face change.

"I think you should get going then. Jungkook's waiting." he monotonously said, his eyes still refusing to meet with mine.
Blinking back tears, I nodded.

It was clear he wanted us to end on bad terms so that it wouldn't hurt less for me to forget him.

But for some reason it was hurting me more.

"I'll miss you," I murmured under my breath, my eyes prickling as I realised that this was truly the last time I'd ever see him.

"Please, don't." he turned to face me, his gleaming eyes beginning to darken.
His words made me feel numb inside.
I took a deep breath, trying to push the tears that were on the verge of falling right to the back of my eyes.

I couldn't show him my weakness, I needed to show him that I was okay.

Even without him by my side.

"I won't then," I murmured emotionlessly, my lip quivering slightly. He didn't say anything, his eyes glued to the wall whilst his hands folded neatly across his lap.

"Seoyeon we should-" the door opened again to reveal Jungkook, and this time I got up, walking towards him.

"I think we should too," I smiled, trying my best to hide the pain in my voice. He stared up at me sadly, patting my shoulder affectionately.
"Hyung? Should we wait a little or-"

"Go. Now. We've wasted enough time already," Namjoon uttered, his voice cold and bitter.

I stared at him blankly, the connotations of his words slitting deep cuts within me. Jungkook stared, his lips parting in shock.

"Oh...okay," Jungkook hesitantly gulped, recognising the same infuriated gaze within his leader's eyes that he had not seen in a while. He placed a hand on my shoulder, leading me out of the room and tightly shut the door behind us.

We walked to the living room, the members all lined up in a neat row as they each bore sombre faces upon seeing me.

"Guess this is goodbye for real this time hm?" Taehyung sadly smiled as I walked over to give him a hug.
"I guess it is," I murmured, forcing a smile upon my face. I walk past him to bid farewell to Hoseok.

"Take care Seoyeon, thank you for putting up with us for all this time," Hoseok said, patting my head affectionately. I smiled, nodding.

"Don't miss me too much," Jimin winked as it was his turn to be embraced. I scoffed, shaking my head.
"As if I'll miss you at all!" I joked, retuning the bright smile he was giving me.

Next was Yoongi, and whilst the man was not so good with showing affection, he patted my back gently, his eyes warm and bright.
"Good luck out there Seoyeon. I know you'll be just fine," he said encouragingly, a small smile upon his face. I nodded, grateful for his words.

Sniffling began to erupt from the corner of the room as I noticed a teary eyed Seokjin peering up at me.

"Hyung, are you crying?" Jimin exclaimed, and all these others gazed in his direction at the sodden and sorrowful elder.

"No I've just got an eyelash stuck in my eye!" He shouted defensively, scoffing as he tried to play it off. I smiled up at him, startling him by pulling him into a big hug.
"Now who am I meant to exert my ego upon without you here?" He sniffled, patting my back comfortingly.

"I'm sure the others would love to hear it," I chuckled, shaking my head up at him.
"Don't even think about it hyung," Yoongi retorted, to which Seokjin rolled his eyes at.

"Ready to go?" Jungkook tilted his head to the side, as he gazed at me.

I took a deep breath and nodded, looking up at the big twisted staircase one last time where Namjoon had dragged me up upon arrival as I'd tried to escape.

I sadly smiled at all the memories shared with them, the memories that I'd had absolutely no intention of making, yet memories that I wouldn't trade even for the world.

"Yep," I nodded at Jungkook, and he began to unlock the front door to move my suitcases to the trunk of the car that was parked up front.

I turned around one last time, meeting the beautiful faces of the 5 members that all smiled up at me encouragingly.

Although they did not intend to be, they had in fact become my family for the past few months.

Running towards them, I pulled them all into a group hug, startled chuckling erupted as we all began to embrace each other in one big circle.

Even Yoongi.

And then it was finally time to pull away, and I began to follow Jungkook to the car that would shortly depart and drive me off to the airport. I strapped myself into the front seat as I waited for him to finish loading the luggage, staring aimlessly at the serene scenery of the house in the twilight sky.

My eyes arose to the sky, mesmerised by the entanglement of pinks, oranges and lilacs that created such a delicate and beautiful pattern.
Cream clouds overhung, drifting ever so slowly through the ethereal palette overhead.
I couldn't stop staring.

But far up above, there was also someone else who couldn't take their eyes off of the view: a man that glowed effortlessly as the sunset rays hit his smoothened skin within the weathered glass, his light hair shimmering as his plump and luscious lips gently parted in awe of what was in front of him, as if he too could not believe the sky tonight.

I bit my bottom lip nervously as I noticed Jungkook enter the drivers seat, squeezing  my hand tightly; signalling that it was time to go.

As if Namjoon could sense my presence, his eyes moved from the sky, peering downwards as his gaze pierced through the window and locked onto mine.

They shone a delicate hazel colour in the light, the intricate sharp crease within his mono-lids softened slightly as he stared at me, lips twitching upwards into a small smile of comfort. I felt as a piece of me began to erode at the sight of him, the look of his face that looked so clear and ambient in my mind, would also be the face that would eventually  just become a blurred memory of what could've been.

Tears welled up in my eyes as Jungkook adjusted his mirror, shifted the gears on the hand break, and began to reverse out of the two gates.

Still peering up at the window, I watched as he brought his hands to his face, quickly wiping the crystal tears that had formed streams along his cheeks.

I watched him helplessly cry, longing to pull him into a hug and tell him that I'd never leave his side again or squeezing his hand tightly to tell him that it was okay; that everything was going to be okay.

And the realisation that I'd never be able to do that sent a warm river of water penetrating my icy cheeks.

The car drove on, and just like that, he grew further and further away from me, his silhouette in the window spiralling away as if he was never there...
