the next morning , i woke up in wooyoung's arms , he was asleep so i sighed and sat up a bit 

" wooyoung-ah , i am really sorry that you and seonghwa had to go through a lot just for me and i don't know if i can say all this to you if we face each other , but you are a precious person for me and i don't want to be away from you or anything , i want you as my friend not someone who calls me your majesty and - " 

" sangie , you know vampires don't sleep " 

i looked down when i saw wooyoung smiling and my face heat up 

" y-you weren't sleeping ? " i asked shyly and he chuckled before hugging me 

" you need to have breakfast " he said standing up and i smiled , once we opened the door we were met by seonghwa's serious eyes 

" good morning lord , you need to have your breakfast and there's somewhere you have to visit " 

" and where's that ? " i asked him starting to walk away , avoiding any eye contact , yesterday's events can't get out of my mind 

" the second palace " he replied shortly and i nodded without even knowing what's that place 

" woo, where's sannie ? " i asked my friend 

" he is in the human's world , he has a life there after all " 

after eating and showering , i walked with seonghwa to that palace but strangely there was no guards or servants 

" why is it empty ? " i asked him curiously 

" it's the old palace lord " 

i looked around , everything was covered with dust and the only window that was opened let the sun get into the palace , it looks old and historical , when we arrived at a particular door , seonghwa entered and so i did , in the middle of the room , was a pretty woman laying in a bed of flowers , her body was glowing beautifully and for some reason i felt a mix of emotions 

" who's she ? " i asked with a broken voice 

he didn't answer and instead he walked toward her and knelt 

" long time no see your highness " he said and i felt the tears ran down my cheeks 

" he is here , and my mission is over , i did everything i can , from protecting him to being his secret guardian and serving him without him knowing " he started crying and it broke my heart 

" he is still half human , he sleeps , he eats , he doesn't need blood as much as any other vampire does , he isn't that strong , he needs someone by his side " 

he then turned to look at me and smiled sadly 

" and that someone can't be me anymore ... "
