The night replayed in Sarah Cameron's head over and over like a broken record every night. Losing her best friend and the boy she was slowly falling in love with more and more by every passing second seemed to haunt her. She had trouble sleeping, waking up in tears, gasping for air. Her life was turned upside down.
Her father and brother got away with murder and now her best friends were paying the price for her families mistakes.
Sarah Cameron couldn't help but blame herself.
JJ felt alone. Kiara and John B were more than just his best friends, they were his family. Sure he still has Pope but its a broken family now, Pope is hurting too.
JJ spends his days sitting at the chateau, staring out at the marsh, memories of the gang flooding his mind. He wishes he could go back and convince John B not to go out in the marsh after the hurricane, maybe then they never would've ended up in this mess.
He started abusing substances but he convinced himself it wasn't a problem. He just didn't want to feel anymore, he didn't want to hurt.
JJ felt alone. Sarah Cameron felt alone. It only made sense for them to end up here.
