Angel walked down the long corridor of her school’s entrance.
Tensions were high due to the huge basketball game that would be held that same evening. Bridgeport Bulldogs vs the mighty Cambridge Titans. It was highly anticipated, everyone who was anyone was going to be there. The school grounds hadn't been this busy since that one time Eddy Stratton managed to pull Nelly for a school concert.
There hadn’t been a game played on home turf in years and today was only the second game in the season, things should never be as heated as it was... but this was a grudge match.
Bridgeport hated Cambridge , sure they were neighbour's in every way, same state, same zip code, some of the kids even lived in the same neighbourhood. They never spoke though, you were either a Bulldog or a Titan. There were no exceptions.
Both schools were the top in the state and always ended up at the finals together in the end except Bridgeport always won.
Their team was undefeated. Which was why both schools hated each other.
Angel didnt get it, never did, and she knew she never would. The simple fact that Cambridge dominated everywhere else as a school in itself should be good enough. Who cares about stupid basketball?
‘annnnnd you're not staying for the game, are you?’, Mikaila shot Angel her best fake disappointed look

‘no he's not, he's just looking out for my best interest-and right now a basketball game ,aint it’, angel defended closing her locker
‘this game is gonna be so great, a once in a lifetime type of great!, and your gonna be home doing God knows what’,janice said
‘im sure if you ask your mom ,she'll say you can stay’, mikaila said
‘Yeaaa.. But I don't want to,though, I don't even like basketball’, Angel replied . both her friends breathed a heavy sign of exasperation
‘so the fact that your boyfriend is playing means absolutely nothing to you?’,mikaila pointed out
‘Bradley is not my boyfriend- boys would be a complete waste of time right now, i've got my future to plan, this is our last year here-’,
‘and that's why we should all make it memorable!- you’ve never had a fucking boyfriend and we're at senior year already!’, janice cut in

‘No, you dont wanna date, this has nothing to do with your parents, not both of them anyways, your mom’s cool’,janice said
