Charlie brushed a lock of curly hair from her forehead, suddenly wanting to stay like this forever. Close to him again. She can't believe it's been two months since she last saw him.
She met his gaze, the tension between them undeniable. She knew right then that she should run but couldn't do it because of the strong grip of his hands on her.
Without thinking, Charlie pressed her lips against his and he went stiff. She started gently at first, then hungrily. She needed this comfort, this distraction, to lose herself with him even if it's for a little while.
Charlie shut up and distract him. This is not some time for any fantasy.
Daniel had begin to deepen the kiss, but she had to stop him. His mouth moved to the soft flesh of her neck, his hands encircling her waist and that was when she kicked him hard where the sun doesn't shine. She heard his groan as she ran away for the second time.
