"good evening anak"
I just stare at her with blank expression.
"hindi mo manlang ba babatiin ang mommy mo?"
"just spill it"
She just sigh with frustation.
"anak I just want to say happy birthday"
tinignan ko lang siya ulit.
"okay okay. I'll spill it. It's your 16th birthday"
"then?"
"naalala mo ba ang nangyari 5 years ago?"
Nakatingin lang ako sakanya with mix expressions like confused, irratated and bored face. But of course I remember it hindi ako makakalimutin -_-. Psh. But still I keep my mouth shut.
"you remember it right?"
"yeah yeah. Mom don't give it any meaning ang nangyari 5 years ago it's nonsense"
"anak it's not no-"
"mom just forget about it okay?"
"Cathalie may ibig sabihin ang nangyari noon"
Tinignan ko siya "weh?"
"Cathalie I'm serious about it. I'm not joking"
Yah I know seryoso ang mukha niya. And hindi maganda ang pakiramdam ko dito.
"anak, hayy panu ko ba to sasabihin?"
Huminga muna siya ng malalim at nagsalita ulit.
"Cathalie mahirap tong paniwalaan pero it's true, wizards are true and magics too."
"oh c'mon mom"
"anak I'm saying the truth nasa dugo natin dumadaloy ang kapangyarihan ng mga wizards"
I just roll my eyes. Wizards? Psh.
"lilipat ka nang school"
"what? *fake laugh* You're kidding right?"
"no"
"but mom-"
"no but's Cathalie I'm sorry but we have to do this. This is the right time" Pinikit ko nalang ang mga mata ko.
"tsk this is just a nightmare. Yeah a nigthmare" Then I open my eyes again.
"mom"
"I'm sorry"
tumalikod nalang ako. Ano pa nga bang magagawa ko?
"bumaba ka na ha. Kakain na tayo"
K fine. Argh bakit kasi kailangan pang lumipat ng school? I admit I have no friends in my school. I just love there. Walang sagabal. And what?! Magic?! Wizards?! Are they really serious about it? Ah maybe mom is just making fun of me. Siguro isa to sa mga pakulo niya. Yeah yeah. That's right that's right.
But I'm wrong. Hindi. She is serious about this. Argh hate her.
Maya-maya bumaba narin ako para kumain
"good evening anak" My mom said while smiling.
Wow just wow pagkatapos kanina? Yeah ryt sabi na nga ba. She's just kidding.
"anak totoo ang sinabi ni mommy mo kanina"
Tsk. Ano to isa sa mga pakulo na naman nila. They'll act na they ca read minds th-
"anak isa yan sa mga kakayanan ko. Ang bumasa ng isipan" dad
I gave him my cold stare.
"just eat. And then sleep early. Maaga ka pa bukas for your class. Bukas ka lilipat sa new school mo" dad
Whatever. Mag desisisyon lang naman kayo na hindi nagtatanong sakin kung payag ba ako o hindi dba? So ano pa ang silbi ng opinyon ko? Wala. Tsk.
