Christina: yeah, sure ofc
Amber: thx
Christina: np
"So did she say yes?" Jonah asks.
"Yup, to Christina's house we go," I say with a quick chuckle.
"Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go!" Lucas shouts with a goofy giggle.
"But Christina isn't grandma!" I whine.
"But--but," he tries to protest but decides to just stick his tongue out at me.
Almost as if I forgot about everything that's going on, I stick my tongue out at him and we giggle. But remember, I said "Almost", I still remember.
"Okay we're here," Jonah exclaims, parking the car.
"Let's go bubba!" I shout enthusiastically, helping him out of the car.
"Where are we?" He asks, his eyebrows creased in confusion.
"We're at Christina's house," I say with a small smile. "She's one of my friends."
"A FRIEND OF BAMBI IS A FRIEND OF MINE!" he shouts out with a funny little chuckle.
"Of course I am," Christina says with a warm smile which welcomes Lucas.
"Are you Christina?" he asks.
"Yes I am Christina. Do you wanna come in? It's warmer," she offers, noticing his slightly shivering figure.
"Do you have hot chocolate? I like hot chocolate," Lucas starts rambling as he enters the house.
"You know, I never asked about this, but Bambi?" Jonah asks, slinging his arm across my shoulders.
"Yeah. He used to call me "Ambi" but then he learned about Bambi and that's just how things have been," I say with a sigh.
"Interesting. Now I'll have to come up with a way to make fun of you about that," he says in attempt to lighten the mood.
Grasping at any chance to relieve the cold rock sitting at the bottom of my throat, I happily shout, "Oh no you won't Jonah Marais Roth Frantzich!"
"I thought you didn't know my full name," he says with an awkward chuckle.
"I thought you knew I was a pathological liar," I say with an innocent smile.
"Crap," he quietly curses before running into the house.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" I let out a war cry before chasing after him.
