13 reasons why poem

Holding on memories as if it can bring you back to life
Pulling myself together, pretending I was all fine inside
I needed another chance to hold you back, back then
But I let you go thinking you were all alright..
Didn't get that all you wanted was me to stay..
Telling you all what I had to say
I needed another chance to hold you back, back then..
But I thought leaving you would be okay...
I thought we were closed anyway...

Remember the last dance when I first kissed you
And the last party when I had a chance with you
Remember the day you promised you would stay
But you broke the promise and that what girls always do...
Sometimes I think of it as if it was just a dream..
Life didn't seem this hard and what is really what it seems?
Remember the day you promised you would stay
But you left and left strong memories with me..

You didn't say you would leave me alone..
I can't just move on on my own...
How could I have figured out the troubles you'd been through?!
When you'd never given me a hint of what was wrong with you?!
Now I miss you and I cry myself to sleep
Because inside me so deep..
I know I was one of the reasons that drove you to that cliff
But still how could you leave me alone with myself...
I'm not as strong as you were..
