The familiar sting flowed through my throat as I drank the mixture from the red hefty cup.

"How was it???" A drunken Amber asked as she pulled the cup from my hand and downed the rest.

"Not bad," I shrugged and climbed to sit on the counter top. The loud music rattled the cups that lay stray on the floor and table. People came and went, picking up cups that weren't theirs, and drinking whatever was in it.

"Come on," Amber slurred and pulled my arm, dragging me out of the kitchen. We were pulled back into the crowded room, with sweaty, drunk college kids dancing and eating each other's faces off. Amber ran over to Danny, who was with none other than Jake.

"Hey baby," Jake walked over and kissed me, groping my bottom along with it. We blended in with the crowd, most of it. "I like this shirt," He pulled on the thin fabric that fell mid waist, "But I think it'd look better if it was off." By the way his eyes shone in the dark, I could tell he was way beyond drunk.

Jake was merely one of the many guys on campus who regularly attended parties to fuck a different girl every night. He had been lucky a few times with me, but I wasn't up to dealing with having sex with a drunken Jake right now. I myself was holding on to the last bit of sense I held within me, trying hard to not get too drunk and end up staying at this shithole of a house. I wanted to be able to walk home at least.

I pulled Jake by his shirt to me and kissed him forcefully. "Maybe later." That should hold him off long enough until he passes out or I leave.

Three more hours of drinking, dancing, drinking, kissing, dancing, and drinking, I felt myself on the verge of falling out. I grabbed Amber 's arm and told her I was leaving.

"I'm going to go with Danny," She giggled. Nothing was funny, but I laughed at her pointless laughing.

"Okay." I walked forward to the door, well, what I knew was the door even though it looked nothing like one. I stumbled into the night air and began walking up the path that led to my house, which wasn't too far. Halfway through the walk, I had to take off my shoes. Being drunk in heels isn't that good of an idea.

I brung my hand to the door, knocking, and it didn't take long for my angry mother to open the door.

"Where were you all night, Alexandra???" Her voice wasn't pleasant, not like it ever is. I just walked past her and up the stairs. "I'm talking to you!!!"

"I don't care," I mumbled and walked up the stairs to my room. I couldn't focus on the screaming behind me, nor could I stand it, so I shut my door, encasing me in the same darkness I was in yesterday night and probably the night before. I groaned and walked to this bed, attempting to undress, but I fell into sleep faster than I could even unbutton my shorts.
