Matt knew Clint was going to call him, and it was definitely not that he was hoping that Clint would.

And Matt definitely didn't practically run to his phone, somehow beating Foggy to it.

"Hello?" he was formal, unsure if it was the new man than occupied his thoughts.

"Murdock," the voice was gleeful, but there was a undertone of exhaustion in the tone.

"Clint, hi." Matt had known he was going to call, but he wasn't expecting it to take a week.

"How would you react if I said I missed you?"

Matts heart certainly did not start beating faster. "I would say that you are silly."

"Then I guess I am silly," Clint laughed. "When can I see you again?"

"Let me check my schedule."

"Who is being silly now?" Clint taunted knowing that Matt was fully just pretending to shift through papers.

"I'm free tomorrow."
