"you know, we haven't had lunch like this in a long time." brooke said to the woman across from her. the two sisters were having lunch for the first time in what felt like years to them, and it probably was.

"i know." crystal smiled. "but, i'm not gonna lie, i have ulterior motives."

"crystal." brooke whined. "why?"

"i know, i'm sorry." crystal said. "but it's important."

"to who?"

"to me, and other... people." crystal said nervously.

"okay, fine, spill." brooke said. "why did you bring me here?"

"so, i wanted to ask you a question."

"uh-huh..."

"do you think you want to get married again?"

brooke froze. this is a question she hasn't thought about, she didn't want to. it would be giving a piece of herself over to dylan for the second time. she was scared that dylan would hurt her again, and she didn't know if she could go through that.

"i-i don't know." brooke said, not looking at her older sister.

"brooke i can tell you are having a battle inside your head, so tell me, what's going on?" crystal asked.

brooke met her sister's eyes. "what if he hurts me again?"

"he won-"

"you don't know that. he said the first time was because he was drunk, so what if he gets drunk again?"

"brooke." crystal said, taking her sister's shaking hands in her's. "dylan knows that messing things up with you again, would destroy both of you. he knows that it wouldn't be good for your kids."

"i just don't want to get hurt again." brooke said. "a piece of me broke when i found him in bed with britt. if i keep getting hurt, i'm not gonna have anything left to break."

"i know, brooke." crystal said. "you need to do what's best for you. i was just asking because the rest of the crew was wandering about your feelings towards marriage."

brooke nodded and crystal continued. "plus we haven't had lunch in a long time." both girls chuckled. "i love you, little sis."

"i love you, too." brooke smiled.
