There is a first book to this called The Coldest Winter Ever. You don't have to read it to understand this one but they do have the same characters and the Coldest Winter Ever gives you more background on the main character Porsche in this story. (Winter the main character in the coldest winter ever is the older sister of Porsche). There are other sisters too but they are the most important.
