"Ring!" the alarm clock blared. Ugh, time to get up and work at the field! Emma thought. She got out of her bed and tried to wake up Natalee but that always took some time. The two sisters were both awake so it was time for breakfast. They walked downstairs and oatmeal was ready for them. "Thanks Mama," Natalee said. She smiled. Emma was not in a very good mood, having to wake up at 5 am every day for the 2 months of summer. Summer. The working months, not vacation. Emma thought. Out of the two, Natalee was probably the most cheerful. "Why are you always so grumpy?" Mama asked Emma. Emma turned away in anger. "I think it's time for us to go!" Natalee said always trying to ruin the bad times. "Bye girls! Have fun and see you later!" Mama said cheerfully. Fun? How could we? Emma thought. They ran out the house like the feathers of a chicken when it's frightened.
