Lucy's POV
My eyes fluttered open to the early morning sun. Pain shot through my body. I reached to my head, the gauzeish feeling of the bandage wrapped around my forehead.
"Clarissa, was it?"
"Yes Lucy?!" She sounded extremely startled to hear me talking again.
"Uh...i was just wonderingwhy theres a bandage...what happened to me!" My words were slurred but I didnt care.
"Well im not supposed to tell you this but-"
She was interrupted by my pale, slender mother storming into my room like she owned it. I missed that compasion of hers.
"Oh Luce!! I wondered what the heck your father had done to you. He's going to get a right beat. Ugh."
I had never heard my mother use that tone of voice with me. She sounded kind of. Sympathetic.
A/N.
I have decided that every Monday and Friday I will post a new chapter for this book.
I was thinking about how to portray the parents so I decided that they would be meanish. I got this idea from Clip Carnegie 2016.
