"Bitch, I'm tired." I whined. "Imma sit this song out."

"Wait. Get another drink with me."

I nodded. "Okay."

"Aye, Nae."

I turned around and smile danced upon my face. "Marquette."

He smiled. "Wassup baby, I ain't seen you in awhile."

"That's cause you went to the big league on me." I laughed, and playfully punched his arm. "Surprised you can even go to gogo functions."

"Of course I can. The league ain't changing me, I ain't gon' neva' stop coming to gogo functions. Shit, this where I got my first kiss from you at." He smiled.

I felt my cheeks getting hot. "I gotta go find Kali."

"Aight. Tell Kali I said hey." He smiled. "See you later."

I nodded. "Okay."

I walked to the food table and found Kali, eating instead of pouring a drink.

"Bitch, you lied."

She looked back at me and grinned. "Sorry, I thought I'd be finished by the time you stopped talking to Marquette."

"Yeah. He said hi." I nodded, looking in his direction.

He looked back at me, and I couldn't help but to smile.

"Ole' fine ass still want you?" She asked.

I shrugged and grabbed a wing of her plate. Marquette was my everything. I was crazy over him, we were never together but everyone thought we were. I was your typical basketball player and he was your typical football player.

We were always busy but tried to make time for each other. We never got the chance to work on an actual relationship, so we became best friends instead. We kissed every now and then, but we didn't get too attached.

"Miss him?" She asked, looking at him as I did the same.

I sighed. "A little."

"Baby got hoes now." She joked. "Gon' have to do them like you did Amber."

I laughed. "Shut up. I didn't fight that girl over him."

She looked at me and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, okay."

"I really didn't. I fought her cause she kept talking on a relationship that she new nothing about." I shrugged. "Kept making up rumors."

"I guess."
