I was on the edge.
I was ON the VERY EDGE.
With my toes hanging over,
Pointing downward, desiring the fall,
Desiring that leap.
That leap of Faith that would
Change Everything
About who I am.
I was on the edge.
My heart POUNDing. SO. LOUDLY.
The quiver started slowly,
In my fingers, through my body,
Through to my toes.
From my head to the balls of my feet
I Trembled
With somuch excitement.
I was on the edge.
I felt the BREEZE.
Then
THE FEAR.
So close.
Just one step away.
But Fear gripped my ankles and
Held Me
As a prisoner.
Fear held my hand.
Whispers in my ear tell me I'm
Already Free
And I foolishly
BELIEVED THE LIE.
