IT ALL STARTED with noise and protestations and ended with tears of begging.
I was watching some show on the tv while eating the popcorn Zephyr left behind..he's probably gonna kill me for that afterwards, when a loud banging repeatedly echoed throughout the house.
Seconds after mum and Zeph dashed out of the room, mum made a beeline for the door as Zephyr rushed to pick me up and sprinted towards the room holding Caelum's hand.
It all happened so fast..I never got to ask what was happening.
Why was he hiding me under the bed,
Why did he look like he was about to cry,
why was Zeph and Cae trying to hug me when we heard mum shouting down the hallway, when we heard the thudding of more than one pair of footsteps..
Why did Zephyr stand in front of me when hiding proved worthless? What were those big man here for when Zeph tried to stop them... fight them. What was going on when one of them restrained him and another roughly picked me up, when Caelum tried to fight up but mum stopped him as she sobbed,
I never got to ask what was happening when they took me as I struggled against their hold.
It wasn't until later when I regretted not hugging Zephyr and Caelum back when I had the chance.
