The mysterious gentleman

Y/n opened her eyes only to be flooded with bright lights.

She felt so weak that opening her eyes itself felt like hard work.

Her mind was groggy and body felt heavy as if made of lead.

She felt something warm weighing down on her hands.

Opening her eyes again with much effort, she found Min Jae peering into her with relieved eyes.

Y/n croaked out, "I'm fine..." her voice hoarse.

Finally seeing her come round,

Min jae burst into tears and kept apologising repeatedly.

"I'm so sorry y/n ya, if only I'd been with you.

You would not have to go through all that."

"What happened? Where am I ? "

y/n managed to ask to which Min jae replied,

" Do you remember what happened last night?

You are at the hospital now.

The hospital staff said you were brought in by a kind man.

He left already but before leaving he made all arrangements to keep you comfortable.

I was looking all over for you worried you were kidnapped when I got a call from the hospital.

I was informed by the hospital staff about your condition and rushed here for you asap.

By then he had already left so I couldn't see him or even thank him properly.

Also! he paid for everything so we won't have to worry about that either..."

Y/n was in state of confusion.

Min jae was talking too fast and It was alot of information to process.

However, for now she felt relieved that God had heard her and saved her somehow.

The dread and fear in her mind was still fresh so she did not wish to remember or think at all about the series of events that happened last night.

Even though she wanted to thank the mysterious man who helped her but her mind was blank after the chase and did not remember anything.

Y/n rested abit more before getting discharged and finally going home with Min jae.

However, in her mind, she still wanted to know more about her mysterious saviour.

1 week since the horrible incident,
Y/n was back to normal mundane life.

Going to classes, hanging out with friends, working part time...

Only 1 thing had changed.

She never went anywhere alone.

That 1 night was enough to scare her for life.

She did go to the police station to  report the stalker.

Since he was still at large y/n felt unsafe.

Ever since her discharge she did think about her saviour as well from time to time.

But there was no way to get in contact with him.

She had asked at the hospital but he had left no card or information.

Which seemed weird, there was no trace of him.

Y/n felt the hospital staff too were somehow withholding information from her.

The whole situation seemed bizzare.

Seeing y/n concerned over this for sometime now, Min jae consoled her.

"Y/n I know this has been so difficult for you.

And frankly I would want to know about this person too.

But we tried already and there is no way to find out for sure.

I say let's leave it at that.

I'm just glad someone was there to save you.

You're safe now and that's all that matters."

On hearing Min jae, y/n decided that she should try to get over this.

And get on with her life...
