Hello!

How are you?

Choose from the following:

Good

Okay

Happy

Fine

Not great

Not bad

Other (let me know)

~~~
This book is about:
Neil Gaiman
How to write horror stories
How to write something readable and publishable
How to be awesome
What else could this book be about?
What are you hoping to get from this book?
We learn from the Greats. We get inspiration on how to write but also how to live life from others who have lived more and experienced more. We look up to our role models to unlock the secrets of how to reach our true potential... or just how to survive. Neil Gaiman is my role model.
I will introduce Neil Gaiman and myself to the audience but first:
A word on Mental Health.
A word to you
Hey.
It's me.
Do you like yourself?
Perhaps there is something you'd like to change about yourself...
Perhaps sometimes the voice inside your mind is too loud right now.
You know the one.
The one that tells you you're not good enough.
The one that tells you that you'll never amount to much.
You are not worth it. You are worth it.
Don't give up on yourself.
And if you don't believe in yourself...
then believe in me
Believing in you.
Some might say that it's easy to go into The Arts.
That it's fun to play piano, draw, paint, and write stories.
It's not fun all the time. It's not even creative all the time.
Writers do not write and read ALL THE DANG TIME.
We do other stuff. We must do other stuff.
Okay, that's all for the Word To You. Bye.
Back to the thing.
Wikipedia has this to say about Robinson:
"Sir Ken Robinson (4 March 1950 – 21 August 2020) was a British author, speaker and international advisor on education in the arts to government, non-profits, education and arts bodies. He was director of the Arts in Schools Project (1985–1989) and Professor of Arts Education at the (1989–2001), and professor emeritus after leaving the university. In 2003, he was knighted for services to the arts."
Sir Ken Robinson sadly passed during the covid pandemic year of 2020, but he leaves behind a legacy, a learning revolution that continues to this day.
Do you know Neil Gaiman?
If you do, what books/videos have you consumed?
If you haven't, what questions would you ask him?
This book is a celebration and homage to the Great Sir Ken Robinson. However, we will also be making the rounds, listening to other Great Speakers around the world on Education. So, let's find our element, engage our brains, and bring on the learning revolution.
