Maybe

All this time she hid in her room,
All this time you never knew,
And where did that lead but to a scar?
How did you not know,
How could you not see,
That this girl,
Your daughter,
Had been hurt deeply.
What could have changed if you had seen?
Maybe she wouldn't have cut,
Maybe she wouldn't have hid,
And maybe,
Just maybe,
She wouldn't have jumped.
