He knew he wasn't alive. He knew he wasn't dead.
It was all pain now. But nothing hurt. He regretted everything he'd ever said.
Everything was tinted with red. Sadness overtook him, his senses filled with anxiety.
"At least she can't hurt now."
A smile formed, everything went black.
"Bah! The child will not wake." A voice exclaimed in frustration. A raspy, angry voice that didn't sound human.
He startled awake. Not awake, though.
