The night we met

The pilot episode

It was may of 2022, I had just started my new job as a housekeeper at a small hotel in my little hometown.

Four days into my new job I never knew my life was gonna change. But I woke up that day got ready for work and started my day. I remember the GSM (guest service manger) was training me for housekeeping. As we were short staffed in housekeeping so she was bouncing between executive housekeeper and her actual GSM position. She was promoted from EH to GSM. But let's be real that's not really relevant.
I walk into the office clock in and we go get our cart. She always liked to start on the 1st floor if there was rooms there so that's where we started.
The rooms linens were being stripped. And when we went into our first room I saw him.

He was tall, slim, and quiet, almost mysterious. He wore the same scrub top us housekeepers had and he had blue scrub pants to match. He wore maroon red Nike sneakers. His skin glowed of a milk chocolate color. His hair black, he has on this headband with red clouds. I didn't know what it was at the time but he was an akatsuki headband. His hair was box braided on top and a smooth fade on the sides.

He was taking the sheets and pillowcases off the bed. He had earbuds in and every once in a while you'd hear him reciting what he was listening too.
And then he turned around, our eyes met and he had one of the most beautiful set of dark brown eyes I'd ever seen. He smiled at us and went about his business. When my EH walked into the hall for something off the cart I stopped her and asked her who he was.

"That's the general managers son," she said.

"Well he's kinda cute" I replied.

"I think he's only like 20 years old," she said.

I shrugged and smiled at her. She shook her head and laughed. I was curious about him and I wanted to know him. I could tell by her implication of him being the GMs son that it wasn't a good idea to pursue but I didn't care.

I should've though. I really should have.
