"one. don't fucking ever call me that again. two. why were you even following me in the first place? shouldn't you be back at the party with the gojo clan?" naoko coldly fired. she didn't want to deal with this right now.

"yea i guess i should be, but where's the fun in that? i saw you leave so i figured i'd just tag along. besides who wants to stay around with those old geezers?" naoko chuckled at his last remark. "i guess you're right. god i wish i could just- nevermind." she remained quiet.

"why do you do that?" gojo questioned her sudden pull back in her sentence. "excuse me?" naoko raised an eyebrow at his question.

"hold in your feelings. just say it. you have no problem speaking your mind when it comes to me or suguru. but you can't say anything about your family?"

"i need to know my place. i'm already not favored and it wouldn't look good if my own clan didn't even like me very much." naoko explained. she grew up like. knowing her place. it's how she survived that hell hole of a home. "so what? they already don't like you. might as well take that as a sign to not give a fuck." the boy advised. and you could clearly see the difference between the two. naoko learned to keep quiet while gojo grew being feared by his own clan members so he was free to do as he pleased.

"easy for you to say." naoko retorted and she was right gojo always was free to say what he wanted because in the end he was the strongest in his clan no matter what.
"why? it's no difference. you're the heir just like i am so you should have an opinion on what happens in your family."

"you clearly don't know what it's like to be a woman in my clan. forget it. i don't want to be having this conversation with you anyways." naoko sped up her pace walking ahead of the boy. but he sped up his pace as well earning his spot back right beside her.

"no. i'd very much like to hear how hard it is. just say it." naoko stopped in her tracks having gojo leave her behind before noticing he wasn't beside her anymore. he turned around facing her again as she held her head down.

"fine. it's not my fault if you get tired of me. you wanted to hear me rant." the darked haired girl stated. "go ahead. i asked you to anyways." gojo held out his hand in front of handing the baton to naoko to speak.

"gojo-san? are you looked down upon just because of what gender you are?" she asked hoping he would genuinely answer it. but in fact, she was wrong. "no. in fact my birth was revo-" the boy was cut off of his cocky remark by naoko who continued her rant.

"ok ok. well i was looked down upon since i was born. since my father found out he wasn't getting a son but instead a daughter for his firstborn child. and even when i got my cursed technique. even when i inherited the prized technique of the zenin clan i was still looked down upon."

"even now, i'm a grade one sorcerer and they still look down on me. my father will never except the fact that i'm strong. no matter how hard i train. no matter how many missions i complete. no matter what i will never be accepted in my father's eyes, in my family's eyes. and even if it's not jujutsu i'd still be looked down by my mother for my unlady like behavior."

"there's nothing i can do to make anybody in my family proud. nothing. not a single thing. they'd never want me and that's why they're trying to get rid of me by marrying me off the gojo clan where i'd be forced to marry some stupid boy that i barely even know!"

"hey! i'm not that bad. you should consider yourself lucky that you're marrying me! you really can't think that marrying me would be THAT bad, do you?" gojo boasted. 'i mean who wouldn't want to marry the strongest sorcerer that has to come' he thought to himself.

"you want to know what i think? i think that you being my husband is probably my worst nightmare." naoko said with a deadpanned look on her face.

"ouch! zenin you really hurt my feelings there!" gojo pouted and exaggerate the 'pain' as he held his heart in his chest. naoko rolled her eyes in response and continued her walk with a much lighter weight on her shoulders.

she hated to admit it but freeing her frustrations to gojo really made her feel better. "you should really do that more often." the boy encouraged her.

"what?"

"let out your emotions. you're going to explode if really don't let them out. you feel better don' cha'?" he pointed finger guns at her giving naoko a goofy grin. naoko nodded slightly not wanting to actually admit that he was right verbally. "seeee~! and look we're already here. god i thought we would never get back here!" he exclaimed as they walked through the toriis.

before entering their respective dorms naoko stopped as gojo bumped into her small figure from her sudden stop of movement. "thank you." naoko mumbled to herself but they were close enough that he should've heard her.

"what was that?" gojo raised his eyes under his sunglasses. he already heard her, but he wanted to hear it again. it almost sounded like she was thanking him. the infamous cold-hearted zenin naoko was thanking him. "i said thank you!" the girl stated blatantly with much more volume.
"for what?" gojo continued to push a response out of her.

he already knew what she was thanking him for, but he wanted to hear it come out of her own mouth. "for listening." she walked down the dark hallway leaving the boy as she entered her own dorm room. "you're welcome!" gojo yelled loud enough for the girl to hear through her dorm walls.

"shut up satoru! just go to sleep!" suguru could be heard through another wall as the white-haired teen smiled to himself before entering his own dorm.
