The Hunter & The Artist

The island

They had landed on the island and Jacob had been thrown around and Maisie and Atlas were trying to get Jacob to stop

Atlas accidently cut Jacob so once they found shelter and food he took his shirt off "I can't believe you two cut them lines!" He scolded the girls

"Red was protecting us!" Maisie said looking at them

"Oh Red is it?" Jacob said a bit angry

"She! Not it and I think she was protecting us...Crow was point a gun at you" Maisie said

"You lost girl one of those things killed your parents they died hero's" Jacob said

"You can be a hero and still be wrong...now shut up and let me stitch you up" Atlas said as she tried pulling him in one hand on his chest

He chuckled smiling slightly
"Here lemme help you out love" he said moving closer

Atlas blushed and finished stitching him up

"Atlas?" Maisie asked looking at her as Jacob put his shirt back on

"Yes?" Atlas asked smiling looking at her

"Could you sing to me?" Maisie asked looking at her

Atlas sung to her softly as Maisie fell asleep

After Maisie fell asleep Jacob and her got to talking
"Tell me about yourself Atlas..." Jacob said eating one of the islands fruits and gave her one

"Well my dad was an ice harvester and my mom was an artist my dad was never really around and so my mom raised me with everything i could ever need and at 18 I moved here...then I became a researcher for sea beasts after my mom died..." Atlas said looking at her hands

"I think I got you beat...my parents died when I was just a lad at least you had parents..." Jacob said

"Are you really trying to make this into a competition!?" She asked angrily

"I'm just saying you don't corner the market on unhappy childhoods" he shrugged

She sighed and rolled her eyes

He knew he messed up and apologized quietly

There was a bit of silence and she burped loudly and covered her mouth it shock

He laughed smiling
"You call that a burp lass!?" He said burping louder

It was now a competition each burp getting louder then the next they laughed smiling and chuckled looking at each other

Her blue eyes sparkled as they looked into his Hazel brown ones

"Better get some sleep Lass" Jacob said smiling slightly as he got comfortable

She nodded smiling and laid her head on his broad chest and his heart started beating fast

"Good night love..." he said smiling slightly kissing her head then closed his eyes

"Hey Jacob?" She asked smiling looking at him with admiration

"Yes princess?" He replied

"You're a hell of a hunter and I'm excited to see how this adventure goes" she said smiling kissing his cheek then laid back on his chest

Jacob was a bit surprised and blushed slightly was he falling in love with her?
